  1. I just love the idea of his mobility in open world, legitimately one of the most beneficial things I could pull for.
If he's got nice dps and fun gameplay, he could be a great asset for getting around doing stuff, maybe I'll even feel less pressured to have Kazuha around at all times, and he could battery Venti a bit as a very smooth alternative. If I don't get lucky though, at least I'll save myself from wanting to farm artifacts for yet another character.

  2. Scaramouche, Nahida, and Xiao are the only three so far that I have pulled for mainly based on lore because of angst and tragedy. My two fav themes of story telling and the rest have been aesthetics and usefulness for the most part.

  3. this is the first update since sumeru’s initial drop that i’ve found myself to be COUNTING THE DAYS until release. I am so excited to see how two years of writing will climax with the wanderer.

  4. The Wanderer is easily one of the best written characters we have in genshin and I completely agree with mtashed that sometimes there are just characters written poorly in the game that share personalities with other characters a good example is Barbara and as on Scara's gameplay he seems like a unit that provides damage that the meta won't effect like Eula, Itto and Xiao

  5. Yeah. He's unique, cool, I really want him. But I have to get my raiden to C2 first. Cuz I was so lucky to get 2 raiden in just 20 pulls in her first banner. And I'm probably gonna get scaramouche on his first rerun. It's not gonna take long, right guys? Not like kazuha, right mihoyo, please? Heh

  6. I agree. Something that has been sorely lacking from a lot of characters and the plot as a whole is that connection. I always end up comparing Genshin to Honkai and how much I wish the characters and story of Genshin was more like it. I don't mean similar in the story beats, but in the amount of emotion portrayed, the stakes at risk, and connection I feel towards the story and its characters. For most of Genshin's characters I feel little to no connection and the story, with the exception of a few hype moments, feels rather hollow. Sumeru has really upped the bar in these aspects but it's still not at the level I know it has the potential to reach.

  7. I cried seeing this. I'm still grinding handguards to fully ascend Raiden and Ayaka. And as a Traveler main I also need them to boost his electro talents. I might skip him literally because of the handguards. They are so sparse in the drops 😭

  8. Okay I'm ready to farm those dislikes! Here goes my opinion, which 99% of the Genshin community will not only disagree with, but actively hate:

    1. Scara's hype was 50% Mona thinking he was scary, 40% cryptic line about fake stars which he never mentioned again, 7% hat, and 3% angry baby-face.

    2. He showed up in his home region of Inazuma for only 5 minutes, got handed a free gnosis, and left. Him being a Shogun prototype was only revealed in Yae's infamous info-dump where this self-proclaimed story-enthusiast tell-don't-show's us for 30 minutes.

    3. In Sumeru, we learn Scara's angry about 'three betrayals', but the only new thing we learn about these betrayals is that one of them wasn't even a betrayal.

    4. He gets placed into a mecha and thinks he's a god, so he starts acting like Voldemort. Then he gets absolutely stomped by Nahida + Traveler in a lopsided beatdown — so much for being scary, now he just looks pathetic.

So yeah. What have I missed? Why is everybody still so excited about this character?

  9. Theory-wise I'll say you might want to stay afloat and attack as much as you can before coming down. His weapon seems to be a stacking attacking normal attack base. So I say it makes sense with the new artifact and weapon.
