As a WL8 player, I was ashamed to not know a thing abt spread and aggravate. But thanks Moga, I'm now more knowledgeable 😀
I think this is the most structured moga video i've ever seen, feels weird, but I don't hate it
even as a seasoned 1.0 player, it's nice to have these "back to basics" resources to strengthen your foundations. thank you for making this!
Some (kind of) strong opinions about the tier list placements: (note: I included the effects of reaction-specific 4pc artifact buffs because they’re pretty much always going to be used if one were to utilise the reaction in a proper team setting)
– Freeze is severely underrated here: Immobilising enemies means that you can save time having to 1) run after enemies ungrouping/running away from you; and 2) run away from/dodge enemies that are hitting you. Not to mention you’re able to take advantage of the 4pc Blizzard Strayer set giving you what’s equivalent to 80 crit value against frozen enemies. While the reaction itself doesn’t work on bosses and certain non-freezable enemies (e.g. enraged kairagi), I don’t think it’s fair to knock it down so significantly considering a lot of freezable mobs still do appear in high levels of the abyss, and a lot of them tend to be extremely aggressive (see: consecrated beasts).
– Crystallise is overrated: the crystallise reaction itself does nothing, and the shielding provided by a crystallise shield is able to block the equivalent of a hilichurl’s rock’s worth of damage. There is some offensive utility in crystallise with the 4pc Archaic Petra set but utilising it requires the set holder to actually pick up the crystal, which is both troublesome and often not worth it when compared to other much more easily attainable buffs.
– Superconduct is overrated: the reaction itself doesn’t do significant damage and while 40% Physical RES is significant, physical teams in general just require much more investment to match the damage dealt by reaction/mono element-based teams.
– Swirl is slightly underrated: it’s able to provide the equivalent amount of RES debuff as superconduct can via the 4pc Viridescent Venerer set (which is a no-brainer artifact set to put on your anemo support anyways) AND do damage. That in itself should have it be rated higher than superconduct reactions. Swirls can also be used to trigger reactions and, since 1.6, scales extremely well with elemental mastery, allowing you to do significant damage on support anemo characters.
– I personally think aggravate should be a bit more highly rated because of its ability to take advantage of buffs that spread can’t (VV on swirl, fischl A4 passive, 4pc Thundering Fury, etc.)
– Bloom is overrated: definitely shouldn’t be on par with burgeon. It does nowhere near the same amount of damage. Nilou herself is carrying the entirety of the “bloom is meta” flag, with her bountiful core's near-instant eruption and enormous scaling (400% increase in damage). Not to mention it’s very easy to see who is popping the dendro cores in burgeon (and hyperbloom reactions) and therefore you know who you should be prioritising giving elemental mastery. That line is blurred when it comes to bloom teams. You don’t know who will trigger the bloom reaction and so you don’t have a clear idea of who you should be building EM on (it’s the same problem with electro-charged, where the unit triggering the reaction can vary and so the transformative reaction itself isn’t a reliable source of damage unless you build EM on everyone and end up sacrificing their personal damage).
Sorry if this came off as rant-y I'm not quite sane in the head at the moment
THE TIER LIST IS THE MOST INFURIATING THING IVE EVER SEEN JESUS
Its eseyer to search uf you named the vid : Reactions guid in ginshen impact
Sorry fir the very poor languge
I thought Moga only knows crystallize reactions 😁😁😁
I wouldn’t call it “ultimate” reaction guide, more like “extremely brief reaction guide” because it skips some important parts.
Like electro and hydro being able to coexist on the enemy when they are affected by electro-charged, which in certain conditions allows to trigger both overload and vaporize.
Underlying auras in quicken.
Reaction priority for the situation when there are two auras (hydro reacting with cryo before dendro, pyro reacting with electro before hydro)
Gauge theory, specifically with forward and reverse side for not just vape and melt, but for bloom (yes, really, bloom has forward and reverse side when in comes to aura consumption, but damage multipliers are the same).
Like, I wouldn’t call this guide bad (mostly, aggravate/spread explanation is kind of wrong), but it’s extremely basic
…The fact you died off because people r getting second hand embarrassment from you. Me personally though? I love to see a rich man get angry abt having great pulls from a gacha game w enough money in his bank to get even greater pulls… Nevermind no I don’t.
I would love a gauge video
This was so much needed. Thank you for the effort!
Oh fuck, I didn't know defense is ignored in transformative reactions, that means Razor's c4 doesn't work in thundering furry Razor
Freeze is the worst reaction confirmed
Hi Moga, thanks for this video. I like how you explain it in a slower tone, while other youtubers in general fast talk through their explanations😊
I disagree with freeze, freeze is much better against small enemies than overload or crystallize which are both useless reactions
Swirl should be S tier due to VV set reducing elemental resistance of enemies
Superconduct is useless unless you play physical dps (S tier, otherwise D tier) imo
PS: No hate tho, good guide
Lil bros, just go watch Zajef's series. This mf can't even breathe without Zhongli.
Moga after watching zy0x for 5 mins:
Jenshin Gaid kreatar
Generally very good guide but I‘d rank some reactions differently
Imo you cannot completely separate a reaction from its character raster
E.g. melt: melt Ganyu and Rosaria exists but even though the reaction has the same multipliers it‘s much less popular than vaporize since better vaporize enablers exist
Around 12:04 taking all your stats into consideration doesn’t necessarily make a better reaction since you need more investment. But ig it generally scales better the more money you spend while reactions like hyperbloom are much cheaper to build while having lower maximum potential (C6R5and stuff like that)
Idk about electro charged‘s placement. Nowadays you don‘t really run a team for the purpose to archive electro charged. The strong thing about it though is that you can use it together with vaporize and overloaded in teams like Raiden National and gets stronger depending on the number of enemies. Superconduct needs to be much lower, since there is no reason to use it over other reactions meta vise Physical units aren‘t really played anymore. Swirl is higher than electro charged even without counting the cc utility into consideration since you can enable stuff like electro charged through swirl as you said
Maybe burgeon lower since there is no reason to use it over hyperbloom because of the risk of burning and the lack of a really good triggerer. Thoma is good but you need EM on him for high burgeon dmg but also a LOT of ER to maintain the burst that you definitely need while his shield scales off of HP. Kuki instead has no energy issues and has a passiv with which her heeling also scales off of EM. And freeze can situationally be really good because it‘s a strong utility reaction when it works so I‘d rank it higher
Melt n Vape over swirl is crazzzy
Personally disagree with overloaded, as I make great use of it in the overworld when running my yoimiya team (kuki, nahida, yoi, zhongli)
kuki's ring + yoimiya is a good way to stop smaller enemies from getting too close, i consider it a budget crowd control
this tackling a bunch of enemies at once without an anemo very easy for me
but overall very informative!! learned a lot in this one
Freeze lower than crystallize? Good vid anyways tho
u just keep doing more dumber and dumber shit, i’m younger than u and know more about reactions
Ha tough it was a meme video since I come from the Eula potential video but it's actually an attempt at s serious guide.
Yeah no thanks, I like your content but that also means I've seen you play.
There's like hundreds of videos with the ultimate reaction guide title
Definitely one of the tier lists of all time.
Why did u make a guide bro u don’t know anything about the game
Putting crystalize over freeze is wild
Burgeon team is really good for the triple kenkis in spiral abyss, also thoma is perfect for it
So freeze is lower than overload, burning aaaaaaaaand even cristalize … Superconduct in A….
That's some tierlist alright. LMAO.
only thing i can think of that could add to this is aoe reactions have instance limits that can effect 1 individual enemy in a short set piriod of time of 2 damage instances of a type of reaction, which is an advance knowladge kind of thing. overloaded is the exception if i recall being only 1 instance. this fundamentally does decrease how much damage you think you can do when you dont stack multiple elements for a soup team
Dude said superconduct is better as freeze
i'd switch Overload and Superconduct ranking because Overload should be A since it can be just as useful as Freeze is can stun large enemies like lawachurls, vishaps and especially consecrated beast but the main advantage the overload has over freeze it as bonus damage and best thing about overload it can coexist with multiple elements which allows you to do multiple reaction while freeze does not and Superconduct should be C if not the second worse reaction next to crystallize since all it does is shred enemies physical resistance you get way better results with Artifacts and character skills and passives the best way to fix this reaction is to make it similar to overload or quicken
10/14 reactions in S and A, is that really a tierlist
watch till the end for a 100% accurate reactions tierlist!!
bro i love moga but he's the last one who should teach others smth PLS. hes our dummy and we love him for that.
im sure moga did this video just for himself lol. just continue to do stupid stuff im not sure if guides are your niche.
You forget element priority for swirl which is :
Pyro, Hydro, Electro and Cryo.
How much unit is from natural water like rain, sea, etc?
am i the only one who's actually learning something new from this despite having played this game for over two years. how have i just learned that superconduct causes aoe cryo damage. I STARTED PLAYING GENSHIN IN 2020.
Idk why people are giving you such a hard time in the comments. I used to make guides for genshin and i’m heavy into TC and this guide was pretty cool (you recorded a lot of footage)
Some pointed out the atk thing with aggravate/spread but other than that, nothing was wrong or anything ty for making this
There are some things i wished you mentioned like how Burning has an AoE and can kill you (just like bloom but instead of taking 5% you take 100%) or why Reverse-Vaporize is used more than Forward-Vaporize (gauge units)
Crying when Frozen gets put in the same category as Burning and Overloaded. People put way too much emphasis on the fact it doesn’t work against bosses.
yall this is the same dude that used potions for bloom
it hurts to see freeze at bottom most because it's comfiest team i play for me, even more when you see it even below crystallize — crystalize!?
🥲🥲🥲
This entire video felt like a middle schooler doing a presentation, no hate tho I can see you've put a lot of energy into it 👍
anyone can look all this up on wiki, like u did lmao
i hope this video is a joke god please
nothing personal / but i laughed when i saw the list 😀
Can we just all agree geo has no reactions
My heart breaks for you to see how much effort and learning went into this and for it not to be performing well. This is the type of video the algorithm will pick up after a while though. Other vids might pop off right from the start, but something like this will eventually just start getting steady views when new and more casual players start trying to learn about the game. Keep your chin up, bruh.
