  1. Trying to please everyone has put Genshin Impact in an eternal loop of complaints
Neither casuals nor dedicated players are happy with what miHoYo brings to the table
Both groups are busy fighting each other instead of engaging with the game
I think it needs to change…

  2. I did the last event dungeon without even thinkink about rewards ahah i was curious how it was xD

Anyway i have to slightly disagree about the Abyss topic, because there are people who can't mechanically get better and this is because they play in low tier smartphone.
I was like that months ago, even if i had perfect rotations, i played on a minimum requirement smartphone that make my enemies appear after 10-20s. So losing 10-20s on first half and losing another 10-20s on second half make a lot of time lost 🙁
Anyway in the end i still 9starred the abyss 12, but i had to do absurd plays for like hundred of times and destroying my mind and my mood.
So i agree that they shouldn't blame gears, but i also can't blame them all mechanically :0

Of course the thing is different if someone plays on good Pc or on Playstation. (i don't know if a super good smartphone solves the 10-20s late spawn)

  3. I guess the thing with this is ensuring that truly difficult endgame content isn’t only achievable by whales or people who spend money, if we look at other gachas like seven deadly sins grand cross, endgame content is usually gated by the newest power creeping unit, in that case giving good rewards for that type of content is quite unreasonable, but the thing with genshin is that I do think the dev team can create a nice level of difficulty clearable for all given enough play time.

I didn’t find the hardest mode of this event really difficult, but I know people who won’t attempt it simply because we don’t really have the time to play games especially if they don’t reward us, how I see it is if this game mode was permanent it would be unacceptable for there to be no rewards at max difficulty, but since it is currently only a limited time event i don’t see a huge issue with it, it’s kind of how abyss rewards suck but they still exist equally across the 4 floors.

  4. reason why i havent do the hardest or even above levels isn't so much that the reward is bad, but more of personal time is lesser then I would like and so just doing one chamber per day

  5. I don't believe many people are complaining that Genshin does not have a content, but I believe they are complaining for the lack of reward. I played Genshin almost a year. I like Zelda very much, i played phantom hour glass, four sword, minis cup, a link to past. I can finish the each game in less than a week. I think Genshin is a balance game, a gotcha (design for business to maintain the game), adventure (similar to zelda), exp gridding (similar to mmorpg). The reason i like zelda you dont need to grind exp to make your character strong to beat the boss. The current spiral abyss is to show case character, if they change the abyss like the labyrinth, i am sure this is a game changer, the tier list will change. The main goal how will you survive. btw i manage to clear the section 5 using 4 char and giving up buff except the curse negation.

  6. My life is busy so most of my artifacts farming is just spending the daily resin. So naturally, my artifacts aren't great and with how my luck has been, I haven't gotten a new piece for my team in months. While struggling, I think my team can clear the last domain, but is it worth going through the pain, resets, and time waste for nothing besides bragging points? For me no.

  7. There is no game in the world without rewards. Playing a temporarly mode which doesn't increase your skills and will be removed in few days is not rewarding at all.
Old games were rewarding because your skills had to improve. You felt motivated when trying and fulfiled after completing a game.

This is the first video I do not agree with you.

  8. Honestly for me the rewards are essential precisely because it is a gacha game. I play these games to maximize my resources in a minimal timeframe so that I can invest back into characters I like to then clear new content in a quick and enjoyable manner and then I go and play or do other things with my life. I'm not motivated to 36 star abyss because this isn't a game I play for the challenge or the mindless repetition without a tangible reward I can invest back into the game. I like to turn my brain off and cruise through the story missions and do my dailies and that's about it. I'll play a game like Dark Souls or Sekiro if I really want to sit down and be challenged. I think people expect a bit much from gacha games in terms of difficulty. These games aren't designed for you to sit down and play for hours and hours to beat a boss. You spend money (or save freemium currency) and time on characters that look cool and maybe they're strong, maybe they're not (historically spending data has shown that people will always roll waifu regardless of this). This type of service model is specifically paced for you to login for a couple hours a day and come back the following days to take part in time gated events or continue to collect resources that are on a respawn timer. You see these discussions time and again on the subreddit that people come into this vaguely open world / rpg looking game expecting endless hours of gameplay when it's really just a gacha game that wears a loose rpg skin. Disappointments are then inevitable but they are ultimately unnoticed because most people are not rushing to forums to complain, they're just enjoying the game they get.

  9. I know this kind of irrelevant but, have you ever try slingshot on childe? I know the passive is kind of useless cause it doesn’t work on his E and the base attack is kind of low too. However it provides isane amount of crit rate and requires less material to update when it’s a 3* weapon. And of course i dont have any 5* bow that i have to think about using it. Let me know your opinion.
    Thank you.

  10. I saw others complain and to be honest not all did not do it just because there is no reward but because many found it difficult and I understand that they did it this way for those who could not complete not feel bad and for those who want a "Challenge" have somewhere to play … not to mention that already at the beginning the game already says that at that stage there would be no rewards and whoever was going to play would be just for the challenge or gameplay.

  11. I agree that rewards are important. Be it with an item or not, the player needs to feel rewarded for their time.
Yo can't expect the players to do something really hard and not reward them.
Mechanics are not enough, not when a game is so much time consuming as this one is.
The players need an incentive to do a hard event otherwise only hardcore fans, who are a minimal part of the fanbase will even bother to try. Because why would I try if can do something else?
Also, bad RNG on artifacts is so real and not everyone has the time to "improve the mechanical skill". The RNG based system on artifacts must change. Or at least miHoyo should give us a reroll mechanic for artifacts so cases like a friend of mine, who's been farming for three fucking months a pyro dmg artifact and still farming, don't happen.
There are more things to a game than just farming for the sake of it.

  12. Make another tower/abyss pump the difficulty up people who can’t handle that should keep doing the old one until their accounts get up to the task. But this time make 10 floor reset. And for the people who complain about artifacts RNG if u didn’t get strong enough artis in 1 year The problem not RNG it’s you.

  13. everything you saidis very much true imo. i used to play a game called bleach brave souls. i loved the game. the one thing that made me stay for over 2 years was the end game content. that game had a tower like mode were you needed to change chracters around in order to pass it. you also needed to be good at it. i spent like 6 months to be able to pass floor 50 which was the limit. that was my goal in that game and what made me stay. later on introduced an even harder tower for players that were mazxed out on all departments. that made me feel like all the time i spent on getting good and strengthening my characters wasnt in vain. gensjin lack that as of now. i hope they bring something to the game to change the status quo

  14. I agree in some points and disagree in others. I agree with the give better regards in the difficult levels because players will get to the endgame at some moment but i wouldn't put primogems as rewards in this case. And I disagree with the "get good" part when you talk about the "RNG", It's true that you do not need perfect artifacts to do enough damage but my problem with your statement is that i don't think everybody has the same playstyle, maybe are people that like to be more careful and only attacks in the safe moments, some players can't dodge all the enemy attacks or maybe there are people that can't put enough time in this game to "get good" (different players have different learning curves). So i think the problem is not "bad rng" or "playing bad" I think the problem is the time limit because the only solution is "do damage and do more damage and only damage" so you clear it in below 3 minutes, that is one of the main reason as why "healers are bad" they aren't buffers or damage dealers, they are healers and they doesn't help with the time limit. That's why shielders are powerful, they help you to stop interruption so your dps can do more dps without having to care about that, but healers can't do that (There are some exception of course like bennet because he's a buffer and Jean because viridescent debuffs).
I hope my english is not too bad.

  15. i think better “high tier” rewards in genshin events should be something like large amounts of character talent level/ascension material (boss drops, books, etc). it’s not something super prestigious but it would be a nice challenging but actually rewarding alternative to farming. it’s really tedious to raise new characters as a casual player so i would like it at least…

  16. As a half casual playter, I think that what we need arent "good rewards" but "limited" rewards. Primogems can be gained from multiple sources, so just slapping them on the rewards is no good imo. something like gadgets, on the other hand, are usually event exclusive. Or the 4* event weapons. If im doing difficult content i want something special for it, not the same thing i can get by slapping a hilichurl with a couple water bubbles.

Two end game activities i would love to get are co-op only raid bosses and factions.
Raids would be a great way to replicate abyss difficulty, but at the same time balance it around multiple people being in a fight. I think Azdaha and Signora gave us a taste of that, but nowhere near being actual raids. Also teamwork would be a new aspect that would bring something fresh to the table.

Secondly, I would love a faction system that has different activites and rewards. It would allow us to maybe have a stronger community, get some rewards that certainly not everyone had and possibly the chance to choose our own activities. Maybe i like helping out NPCs in the city rather than fighting mobs all the time. Think the reputation system, but for our chosen faction.

I'd really like to hear your opinion Lily (aka please dont ignore). Youre a technical fighter game player from what im getting, so my ideas might very well conflict with yours, as I do realise there are some flaws in them. Thanks for reading, if you did.

  18. I cannot even unlock Floors 11 and 12 in Spiral Abyssdue to my lack of skill or my party setup is inadequate. I need to do a 2nd attempt if I feel like it. Right now, I'm just taking a Genshin break.

I aim for the highest difficulty not only for the rewards, but for that personal satisfaction. Maybe it's my old school gamer mentality. I feel so old lol

  20. This is something that I think fgo does super well. Every event has a difficult mission that rewards you with the game's equivalent of crowns (in addition to the ones you get from the event). There are also events like nerofest that drop a lot of these missions, rewarding you with summons. Add to the fact that the later fights in the story are hard as nails and you get a game where you're motivated go build up your units and learn the in-depth mechanics.

I wish genshin was more like that.

  21. This might be unrelated, but I just want to share. I still play and love Genshin (character and story wise) but the Moonchase Festival(Guoba's fest) left a bitter taste in my mouth. The charms was said to be used to claim rewards but they changed the description on the last part of the event. That's bullshit for me, to be honest. It would have been acceptable if they did the change on Day 1, but they changed it very late in the event. I know it's been a month already, but it just really suck for me.

  22. i don't care if the game don't give any rewards
it just the game is too easy and also kind of annoying that i don't want to play the last dungeon
(i just hate specter A LOT)
and actually an end game content without rewards with somekind of highscore or something is imo better

  23. I never based my gameplay around artifacts… In fact it's the thing I mostly procrastinate to do in the end game. I'M at world 8 and still raising my characters… My concerns goes more to the resina acquirements and usage than the rng itself (I guess years of farming and bad rng drop rate in Fate GO got me like this…). However, I have to admit that critic damage does leave the gameplay and easier than anything else. So I understand the hate which goes on in the community since I rely mostly on my skills to complete the hard challeges and waste a lot of time due the lack of proper artifacts sets for my characters.

  24. I haven't got their to the final event due to the fact I don't have enough time in the day to get their. However I do believe the reason why they haven't done it is the lack of rewards at a higher level. For most of the people who have characters than can do big huge damage they had to grind really hard for it. Anywho is at a high AR knows that it not easy getting all the ascension materials for the weapons and characters. So for as many events they do mostly to cater more to the newer players they give out things that would need and their not much for veteran players who already have a stockpile of said material. Like in her comment she said it's impossible to please everyone.

  25. Imo, the hardest parts of events should give rewards that only players that can clear it needs. Keep the primo rewards accessible, for the challenging parts give gold gemstones and other things that requires time to farm but isn't that useful for newbie players so that the newbies can still get the main rewards (primos) while the endgame players can save some farming time and resin by being given things that usually take a lot of time to farm.

  26. I think the challenges could give like 5 purple books and 60k mora. Like its still good for veteran players, might suck for new player but not a big loss for new players.

  27. When i was little, i used to play outside, with stick and stone.
Now i can sit comfortably in my room playing game for free, that’s good enough for me.
I think the issues are because of how the modern society is, with a lot of younger peoples these day when they grew up with everything laid down ready, so anything less will be considered hassles and not worthwhile.
Especially seeing how entitled some peoples can be through social medias.

  28. I run the hardest difficulty just for that feeling of achievement I get after completing it.
Take Hyakunin Ikki for example. There was no reason, point or mention to getting platinum in every challenge, but once I found it existed I decided to get it everwhere. Now those badges are in my Battle Chronicles on hoYoLAB, for whatever reasons. But they're there.

But, for events like Vagabond Sword, I decided to get only all the rewards without going for higher difficulties. First because I couldn't actually beat it and I knew, second because there was really no need to challenge myself so much.

Now, about Labyrinth Warriors. I tried the last chamber, beat it fairly easy and stopped going there.
It's not really because there aren't rewards, but because it isn't actually replayable: the layout won't probably change if I enter again, me explorating will be pointless and it's not like there are that many fights. My Childe inside seeks battle, not chest-hunting.

I crave something like a "100 floors tower" type of endgame content, and abyss comes close to that. They should add more floor but with a smoother difficult increase, because the difference between floor 11 and floor 12 is quite noticeable.
Rewards? Yeah. A ton of them. Whales, sadly, have the right to have privileges because they spend money, but we end-game players that have almost nothing left to do would have a reason to return on some characters and better their artifacts yet again.
This is where a better artifact system comes into play, with less RNG for important stats or a way to reroll substats of choice. That would be a cool new feature to add as rewards for higher difficulties in any event.
