I think why Mihoyo decides to censore is to not get too much attention from the Chinese government, since the movement is so big now that I am certain it may attract attention from the government. If the CN government decides to take action because of this, Mihoyo would probably be in even more trouble.
The game had so much potential but refused to grow and silenced the people who speak out on it
So far just learning that the lantern right and the little mini games is all that this "big event" is, I'm kinda glad I'm not a whale, in the whole life of genshin I've only spent 200, and that feels like way too much for me
I tried installing genshin for the reward and my god its 30 gb on mobile, its so much and become laggy to me XD
A lot of people dislike Tectone because of the way he says it. The truth is, the real world is just that. When you are unsatisfied about something, you speak out.
Dude really milk this drama. Its like watching a netflix series of hate. I get it. If you guys keep hating on compensations, maybe the game is not for you. Look for other games.
Itβs strange how 3 pulls is considered generous by some people. I remember playing a few other gacha games that were way more generous with their pulls currency.
I hope the CEO of Mihoyo sees all the drama and fires the director of Genshin.
Think about it though, Hoyo started with games that align with Honkai 3rd, Star Rail etc so when Genshin took over and turned into their cash cow I donβt think they were too excited about it. They rode it though but their hearts are more into celestial space turn-based style gaming. Why would they get miffed at the fact that the player base is upset. They also know that a good portion of the player base also plays Honkai so retrospect itβs what they wanted all along and everyone is playing into it. Lose Genshin base then gain more Honkai base. Catch what Iβm sayin?

I've always been an advocate for the fair treatment of gamers – across the board. These industries get away with actual murder in what they provide us. Microtransactions, 'beta' level releases. My friends just laugh and make fun of me. I don't get it, I'm sure they can see it..
I wasn't bothered by the honkai vs genshin debate until I started listening to the recent issues and I start getting YouTube ads for a free Honkai 5*. FML

There are many morons in the Genshin community that think that criticism equals drama. Tectone loved GI and he wanted it to be the best game ever and keep evolving as a game, but MiHoYo made him hate it by not giving a fuck about its players and lying to their face. No endgame, no new game modes, no exciting new content, shitty rewards, disregarding global community's opinions and only caring for CN's, etc. All that after years of existing. He has had every right to calling out MiHoYo with how much money and time he has spent on their game. Ofc he also does it for the content, it's his job after all, but he also cares for the game and its players. He has also endured threats, misinformation, toxic players and ccs, personal attacks, etc for a long time. If you guys believe that a person who tells the ugly truth without sugarcoating it is toxic, an asshole, Hitler, and such, then excuse me but you don't get how ugly the world and the society is. You must be really naive, immature, young, and protected in your own little world. If more players and ccs were like tectone GI would be loads better currently. Even the CN community started waking up from their slumber. As for why he has many drama videos, if someone attacks you or spreads misinformation about you, would you let that person get away with it?! Personally not only i would try to humiliate them and make them look like a clown, but on top of that get money from it. Good for him that he does the same and he's not a weak boy who's afraid to counter bulshit with honest feelings and smart arguments.

The fact that the Genshin team did not fill this hole in the market of what Genshn could be after three years means that any game could come in and fill the hole where other games could dominate in popularity.
The thing is, they will spend more time and energy to blame HSR devs for being generous instead of admitting that they are too stingy themselves, and trying to fix that. That's just the nature of greedy people. Kinda happy to see all white knights finally coming to their senses though. Better late than never.

These guys are actually brain dead. They talk shit when u speak up and the community will get the rewards and compensation, they will be there too and accepting the same rewards and compensation (what a nerve) like nothing happens.
Like company employees strike at a company due to mistreatment. some of the employees don't join the strike and talk shit on the employees who joined the strike "usually this shit heads doesn't care cause they are not affected, does not want to be affected kicked out of the company or the employees the one who causes some of the problems blames other employees (usually these employee type has close relationship to the management).

I was met with dismissal a year ago, but now I will reinforce my statement that Hoyo will simply keep Genshin like that and put minimal effort and will discontinue it when it stops being profitable. Genshin has peaked long ago and it's more profitable for them to have the whales move to their newer games and pay money to climb to the top all over again.

The problem is two fold at least here in the west. People talk about wanting to uphold an ideal, but get cold feet when it comes to making it happen. They only care about what is most convenient for them.
