  5. Off field damage dealers are useless to me, because I find co-op more enjoyable. I'd say the REAL best characters are the one's that you don't need to swap out after clicking one button.

  10. Nahida will always be #1 to me. Pulling for her changed my account in a way no other character has come close to replicating. Don't get me wrong, Furina has been a big help in my continued Abyss dominance, but Nahida's team always picks up the slack. Heck, even when the Alhaitham dies in the third chamber, doesn't matter, because I got Nahida!

  19. Yep I agree with Dendro Core: the team only needs one good elemental mastery artifact set and it can hard-carry whatever else you slot in.

    As for Furina, my experience is limited as I’m still building her artifact set.
    I’m going to “too high” standards because I want Furina to make as much impact as Dendro Core which is hard when my account has a full Flower of Paradise Lost set.

  20. Nahida should be on one. Furina is only good if you have a festering desire or you have that pipe from fishing. Her best weapons are cash grabs bru. Her cons are great but so is nahida's. C1 nahida is where she takes every team into the promise land. C2 is just switching from sub dps to main dps but an off field one. I don't get why dendro cores are classified as the off field dps when nahida can be used on so many comps if u need dendro she's the one you want. Also there are other teams like reverse melt where nahida's burning is needed to consistently provide that pyro application while your cryo dps beats the sh** out of your enemy. She is the defenition of off field. Not putting her on the list ya'll trippin.

  21. I never pulled for Yelan eventhough I had the primos for her, on both of her last two bannerS, becoz of two main reasons –
    1) I already had C6 XQ, and interruption resistance is sooo useful when doing close combat, like sword users that I have a lot
    and
    2) I, to this day, don't have any Pyro DPS, for that amazing Vaporise reactions I could do, XQ works enough for anything Dendro, or Kokomi and even Furina is fine too, for doing all these stuff, moreover making Yelan not worth it for me

  30. As a user of both C2 nahida and C2 furina. I build my nahida as a on field dps, R3 widsith and with almost 500em. She gets more em with burst and hits like a truck. And same goes for furina but i am using level 1 favonius sword lol. After doing a lot of abyss and overworld stuff. I think nahida is still the best unit in game. I know i know level 1 favonius means furina not reaching her full potential i am thinking about fishing for the pipe weapon of Fontaine as its 2nd besy f2p option after festring desire. But still the gap is a little to big and furina can't close that gap. And if anyone wondering how much dps my furina do, so she hits like 60-80k with kazuha, baizhu and yelan. She hit 150k with Xiangling, kazuha, baizhu. Even then for me nahida is more powerful. My nahida Tri karma hit like 50-60k average and if i have widsith buff like any it increases even more. That's just tri karma and you are not forced to use a team wide healer even though baizhu is still the best for her. If we ignore the furina+neuvillette team then nahida beats almost all the rest of furina teams with a pretty good margin. So yea nahida still the best for me. Maybe because her C2 is more broken. Hyperbloom do like 40k normal and 80k crit and its just continuous you can imagine the damage. Single target bosses get erased in no time.

  32. I'm blown away this is not against t o s. I guess they're getting paid regardless right I mean they got to get the primo somehow to give them to you I don't know it's cool though that you can do it and it's not against it

  35. I think Albedo probably deserves more justice. He takes less effort to build and does significantly more ticking dmg compared to most others in your top 5 who definitely require time and effort to build. Give him a 4pc husk set with around 120-130 crit dmg and your still doing 20k per hit plus the EM bonus he provides when you use his burst. Don't count him out just because he is a Geo character.

    Other off-field dps characters such as Yelan and Nahida require a good amount of investment if you want to achieve atleast 20k ticking dmg. Even then, you might be relying on reaction dmg to achieve that.

  37. I love the disclaimer lol. If they have to be off-field damage dealers, I don't think my top 5 would include any 4-stars based on my gameplay experience as I've found all of them, even the beloved xingqiu, completely outclassed by a 5* counterpart in regards to damage, which is the only concrete measurable for our "endgame". defensive utility, especially as minimal as xingqiu, offers feels pointless at this stage of the game and the off-field damage dealers who seem to boost my clear times the most are yelan, nahida, furina, kazuha, and yae–i've never understood why yae is so disliked. people call her 'clunky' but she's so smooth and easy to play, gliding around and repositioning/ manipulating the AI while doing a ton of damage in a big range with perfect consistency. that said, i play on a controller, so my experience could be fairly different from the keyboard warriors, idk. xingqiu is probalby #6 but there's never a scenario where i'm choosing him is when i've got yelan on the other side or just want to play double hydro specifically 🤷‍♂

  39. Yae Miko definitely deserves honorable mention since she’s literally a god pair with nahida like they were made for each other and both of them raise each others dps by a lot, she’s an amazing sub dps or carry.

  40. I get your point about dendro cores, but you forgot to mention the biggest positive of Nahida- her chain reactions through her hold E. This essentially makes even single target DPSes viable options in AOE scenarios. And when this effect is triggered, her ascension passive buffs her own damage. So not only she is buffing your DPS, but herself too, and this effect is very unique in game, because only other effect that is similar to this is Electro-Charged reaction itself. And if we consider her constellations, especially C2, she provides the most unique buff or effect in game- ability to crit dendro reactions like hyperbloom, bloom and burgeon, or shredding enemy's DEF in case of Aggravate/Spread. Having Nahida solves 80% of your dendro needs, but I can't say the same for any other dendro character irrespective of how many/much cores they can produce. Heck you can even use her as a healer with Prototype Amber and she still performs excellently.

  42. Although Furina is a great character, she's not that good as an off-field DPS. She's good, but she needs to have a healer on the team for her damage to be very-very high (it's high without a healer, but lower than Yelan 's, for example). Additionally, her application is not that great because of its inconsistency. I would say that without her buff she's in most scenarios worse than Xingqiu, Yelan, Dendro core, maybe even worse (I'm not sure about that, but maybe) than Fischl and Xiangling. So she's more of a buffer than an off-field DPS because if you need an off-field DPS, there are plenty of better or similar options, but if you need a buffer, she's arguably the best buffer in the game. In conclusion, Furina – definitely not the best off-field DPS, but probably the best buffer, and a great hybrid of those two things, which makes her so good and flexible.
