Swords Only in Genshin Impact can be quite challenging at times. However, as the self-proclaimed master of “Weapon” Only challenges in this game, I am able to best any obstacle (probably).
Clearing Spiral Abyss is one of the main goals of any account… For these Weapon Only challenges, it might even be the final goal. We’ve gone so long without being able to clear Floor 12, so I decided to do a ton of farming, and try to change that.
HoYoVerse put out a tweet saying “Polearm Impact”… So I decided to take it upon myself to make a new account, but only use characters who wield a sword because absolutely nobody asked me to.

They play normally. They use all weapon types and utilize every skill. Perhaps, you simply aren’t familiar with such a concept?
I would have a freeze team and an aggravate team?
Keqing, Dendro Traveler, Kuki, and Bennett
Ayaka, Xingqui, Kazuha, and Layla (or Kaeya if you manage to get the constellation that gives him a shield)
i think for lumine instead of going for an em weapon u could give her favonius bc for hyperbloom shes there purely for the dendro application and not for triggering reactions so er is much more valuable than elemental mastery
If you use dendro reactiones on the flying ruin guys they can fall off because of the aggro or whatever dendro recactione dose

Try and use qiqi for heals
Unfortunately, for a swords only account, hyperbloom isn't super viable (especially as you need to have a hydro unit on your Ayaka team). I'll explain more at the end of this comment, in case you do decide to go for it. The best comps I can see are the following.
Freeze with Ayaka, Kazuha, Xingqiu, and Layla. note that the lack of a dedicated healer here means that Layla needs strong and consistent shields—this combined with XQ's tiny heals can be enough, however if you do end up needing a dedicated healer you'll kinda be stuck waiting for a hydro sword healer or Jean/Qiqi.
Aggravate with Keqing, Dendro MC, Shinobu/Bennett, and a flex slot. One possible comp is Keqing, DMC, Shinobu, and Bennett, but you'll have a ridiculous amount of healing there.
It may be better to go for Albedo or Kaeya (as an ult bot) for extra dmg instead of either Bennett or Shinobu, however I am uncertain as to how Albedo's crystallise may interfer with the Quicken aura and therefore the aggravate procs, nor how Kaeya's ult might mess up Quicken due to the likelihood of Superconduct procs (or Melt if you run Bennett).
ALSO: it's a shame you didn't craft and level the Sapwood Blade (Sumeru sword), as that has the same base atk as Rancour, only it has an er substat and a passive that can kinda of work in Dendro comps. It's also one of the best swords for DMC, alongside Fav/Sac depending on er vs atk needs.
Okay, now for the hyperbloom thing:
For a hyperbloom comp, you kinda need to have one specific electro user (ie Shinobu because she's perfect for it, note that having multiple electro characters means you don't get reliable procs so some hyperblooms will be 'stolen' by the lower em unit) stacked with as much em as possible, then you need double dendro, double hydro, or dendro/hydro/anemo (for cc, Kazuha is kinda wasted). On your non-electro units you just need to stack er and other relevant stats (ie crit for fav), as the only one actually doing reactions for dmg is Shinobu. Ideally you would have Shinobu on an Iron Sting with 4pc Gilded Dreams (em/em/em with em subs on the flower and feather, the only other necessary stat would be hp for better healing).
for teams u can use dendro mc with ayaka layla xingqiu and secand team kazuha bennet keqing and flex spot

you could do ayaka, xingqiu, layla/kaeya and kazu on one team, and the other could be keqing, dendro traveler, kuki and bennett/albedo
Keqing dmc (dendro main character) kuki albedo (Albedo grants em and a good amount and gives a bit of extra damage)
Ayaka kazuha xinqiu layla/bennett (If you're gonna use 4pc blizzard, layla is probably better if you want to run 2pc blizzard 2pc gladiator then bennett but if you want bennett is okay as long as you don't accidentally swirl pyro)
Even if you built nilou, she wouldn't be viable or work until you got ayato, but even then, the team is a bit hard to play around with cnsidering there's no healer.
If you do want to use nilou tho your team has to be: Nilou dmc ayato xinqiu.
Teams:
Keqing, dendro mc, albedo, kuki
ayaka, xingqiu, kazuha, layla
For Spiral Abyss I'd probably drop hyperbloom and do Aggravate with Keqing, Dendro MC, Kuki and Albedo on one side and Freeze with Ayaka, Xingqiu, Layla and Kazuha on the other side. Reason being that having an electro on field isn't good in aggravate teams since you want to stack as much EM as possible on one Electro character and Keqing on fielding just doesn't work with that, she should perform better in quicken. And Ayaka really wants Freeze for all the extra crit rate it will provide you. If you get Ayato in this rerun you can do Hyperbloom with him though, keep it in mind as Ayato, Kuki, DMC, Albedo seems like a solid Hyperbloom team

You don't need em on Lumine (if she's in the hyperbloom team), so fav sword would be better

if u manage to pull ayato in 3.3, a ayaka ayato layla kazuha freeze team would work out pretty well as long as u hv enough energy generation to continuously fund ayato's burst to apply hydro

The best weapon for travelers Is favonious for ur account and u are upgrading that em weapon that u can refine and get ur kazuha's burst downtime as none

best thing you can do is put favonius on lumine so she can help battery everyone else and focus on er and em subs
I really love to see the progress on the acc, and as always: play as you find it more comfortable, but I would go with teams like these: Keqing, Lumine, Kuki, Xingqiu/Bennett and Ayaka, Kaeya, Layla/Xingqiu/Bennett, Kazuha. I was thinking of the healer issue, which I totally understand, but I believe until Jean will save you, nothing can fill that properly. Layla is not so great as a subdps (her dmg is lost on me, even though she has the Key of Khaj-Nisut), so Kaeya could fill the role better + he's better battery than Layla. As for everything else… Well, not much I could say, ig. Anyway, I am excited to see your next update and, who knows, maybe for SwordsOnly it will be my long awaited Kaeya special.
