  1. As a Xinyan fan and have read her lore. People find her more weird, because of her style of look. People are afraid of Xinyan is mostly because of her Eyes are like Knifes and people say she has a scary face. I love Xinyan's personality because underneath that exterior is sweet passionate woman that is afraid of bugs, makes embroidery, and can cook.

  2. also it probably goes without saying but if they added more dark skinned characters w/ a variety of personalities and aesthetics people probably wouldn't hyperfixate so much on the 1 dark skinned character in the whole game :/

  3. technically arent they the one being racist? since yk bringing that up and seeing it like that even though it wasnt supposed to be.

ex: "oh theyre black and people are scared of them even though it wasn't about their skin so racist!!!"

  4. Some people are quick to assume that any misunderstanding of a character and their description is based on skin color. Xinyan is Asian, just with a darker complexity. Not all of us Asians have fair light skin. Her misunderstanding with the people of liyue is based on how she dresses up (or in other words, aesthetic). And all of this boycotting between the fans and the characters of Kaeya and Xinyan are going to cause some similar problems when future nations come out. And talk abt being a hypocrite. Seriously, making an argument as a defense to the skin coloring and saying they'll never forgive Mihoyo but proceed to play the game and have a pfp. In all honesty, it's very funny to watch these people look like fools arguing against something that they're not even right about

  5. Xinyan is okay but the thing is most people don't prefer physical builds. Also, she is not even electro or cryo to help in superconduct. Releasing a pyro physical doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

  7. NGL I don't like Xinyan. I don't really enjoy playing claymore users, I don't really like playing pyro… I don't really like rock… I mean there's literally nothing I like about her. BUT.

I can still respect the character as someone else's favorite, and point out this drama for how stupid it is.

  8. Xinyan is "scary" because of the thorns and bones on her clothing, not because of her skin color. They're the ones who are racist and thinks she's scary because of her skin color

    The hypocrisy jumped out 🤡🤡

  9. For me Xinyan is the representation of dark skinned Chinese, not black (she might be blasian representation but still she's from Liyue and no info about her parents so, stick with dark skinned Chinese not blasian or black)
East Asian beauty standard is "having fair skin", making those with darker skin is usually not appreciated (sometimes discriminated). As Liyue is more to old / ancient China, it's quite make sense if people aware of her appearance, like her outfit and make up (check Liyuen NPCs. Does any of them dress up similar to Xinyan? With spikes etc? No. Even the playable characters no), not only her skin colour. Then she does rock and roll, which is a weird music for Liyuen with their traditional musics.

BUT Mihoyo doesn't make her an outcast forever in Liyuen society. If you read her next stories, Liyuen starting to accept her. That's why that isn't racist for me. If they're racist, they aren't gonna release any dark skinned characters at all

  10. Well, if I even see someone heavily wearing like spikes and punk stuff, I would also be scared xD

It has nothing to do with skin colour, even if white people wear that, or all other people wear that, I would gladly lock myself in my house, cause the outfit looks scary, especially when that kind of code dress is like the most rare in a place xD
