People go crazy over a fkn wing geezuz… it's not even a costume dude calm your horses
I'd be a giga chad move if mihoyo gave everyone a free 5 star….but its qiqi >:)
I think the whole Genshin Community needs to take a step back, breathe, then think about it. Because in this case, it makes sense aside from tryna FORCE people to sub to streamers they don't know
I just got banned from the official discord for posting "qiqifallen".
I wanted to know if they were still deleting her from the chat or not and got banned.
And now the question: Why is the gif still on the server for the use of which you will get a ban. Wth
I just think it would've been much better if they simply added it to the in game shop for whatever amount of genesis crystals. Asking people to go and give money to random streamers they most likely don't care about is just weird. And let's not forget the fact that a lot of people don't even use Twitch, so it would make no sense for them to make an account just for this. There's also the fact that, unlike the KFC thing which can just be you having your lunch at a different place than you normally would, having to sub to someone on Twitch is an extra expense that you wouldn't do at all otherwise. If it was in game at least I could just get it with my stack of crystals that I've been saving from all the welkins and I would barely see a difference. I guess it's nice for the streamers, but for everyone else it's pretty shitty.
I never expected the wings to be free from the very start but for a casual player that doesn't even use twitch this is a little bit frustrating 😅 or should i wait further to buy the wings directly in game?
Oh wow, I listened to French genshin player and you talked about everything he said but in 3 minutes 😭
Even about the fact that ppl may give 2 subs only for the wings and not for the content and camping in front of KFC
Those threatening others over paid content or whatever are probably really young. I wonder how they would feel when they enter adulthood and realize not everyone has the same things…
The problem is the restrictive contract on streamers and making people go to twitch streamers they probably won't stick around to watch. There also is no guarantee every streamer will get the same number of subs. They ought to have paid the streamers a base sponsorship and included other platforms. Instead they're making the audience pay the streamers to market Genshin for them. The timing was also bad, with most of the community not expecting any goodwill after how the anniversary went down. If they really want to make up for it they ought to be straightforward in rewarding the community and communicate better.
Yes Mihoyo do good things but it doesn't mean we should not call them out when something seems wrong.
I'm gonna get it because it looks good on kazuha and bennett, or so I think
I dont understand for people that said they dont want donating to a random person to get a glider. If mihoyo put the glider on the shop instead (that cost crystal) , isnt this shit doing the same thing? U basically buying the glider (at the same price, or even lower for some countries because the twitch subs regulation). The difference is that this time the money spread to content creators instead, not mihoyo.
The logistic issue with world wide kfc collab for all country is just cant be handled. The good thing is this glider no longer limited. Everyone just really on the hate train after genshin anniversary and some questionable decision by mihoyo (like the elon thing).
Majority of people dont understand this. Mihoyo give offer to ALL streamer who join the content creator program.
Mhy: "Ayo watch these streamers gib them subs"
Also mhy: didnt gives any content in the game for the streamers to do
2:33 images xD
streamer: heyy thanks for the sub
Subscribers: stfu i sub cuz i want the wing xDD
BatCode CODEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I don't think it's just habitual outrage by a bunch of entitled babies this time, it's 100% about MiHoYo taking advantage of the community and content creators. It's a bad thing because of a multitude of very specific ways they made this a money grab instead of what could have just been a promotion to help give streamers a boost while content is scarce. Aside from the debatably ridiculous cost of a silly skin, the contract is shady AF, not allowing streamers to stream other games or accept sponsorships while not actually paying them anything and expecting the community to fund the effort is beyond ridiculous. I don't think MiHoYo's intention is good at all; there's just enough of an illusion that they're trying to play nice but then they rub their gifts in grease, slime, and spit and expect players to be grateful. Their marketing team is bonkers but they keep making money so they think it works. I'm curious to see how long it lasts.
If they rlly wanted to support the small streamers they would’ve paid the streamers themselves when they join the contract for the wings instead of relying on the community to pay them
My issue isn't about them charging for it, my issue is that I can't just go straight to the game and spend $10 on the wings, I don't watch Twitch streams, I would buy them if I could get them directly in game, but I'm not subbing on Twitch for some wings
i havent gotten that 40 primos in that facebook event :')
Mihoyo is basically at the same level with EA and Activision right now lmao
Where the heck is my Noelle KFC cutout? >: (
The Indomie commercial made me hungry XD
I don't really mind that the reward is locked behind Twitch subs, I can always gift 2 to some ppl who actually watches and want to support the content creator. What upsets me is the alleged contract with the streamers, the total exclusivity and no other sponsorships just for a mere possibility of boost in subs and nothing else. Like, if you want the advertisement, PAY them like every sponsors ever, you can't tell me that they don't have the finances to do so :T
Yes they're supporting their content creators (arguably small since the limit is allegedly 3000 followers minimum I believe) but I feel like this roundabout and restrictive way to do so might do more harm than good.
And that's on top of wanting exclusivity for non existent content, like maybe you can stretch it a little if you have some exploration and quests left to do but still I don't think that's enough for 2 weeks worth of content.
Add some content for your content creators to advertise, pay for your advertisement and then I'll be willing to buy the cosmetics.
But as for now, I don't think I want to encourage these kind of practice with my money
