It’s been a long time since I last went over this topic and a lot has changed since then, so I figure we should update it! Here are the current best characters for each element in Genshin Impact! This time around I’ll be choosing one DPS character and one Support/Sub DPS.

  7. I can't take it anymore. I'm sick of xiangling. I try to play dieluc. My xiangling deals more damage. I try to play yoimiya. My xiangling deals more damage. I try to play Hu tao. My xiangling deals more damage. I want to play Klee. Her best team has xiangling. I want to play raiden, childe. They both want xiangling.

    She grabs me by the throat. I fish for her. I cook for her. I give her the catch. She isn't satisfied. I pull engulfing lightning. "I don't need this much er" She tells me. "Give me more field time." She grabs bennett and forces him to throw himself off enemies. "You just need to funnel me more. I can deal more damage with homa."

    I can't pull for homa, I don't have enough primogems. She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She grabs gouba. She says "Gouba, get them." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure, no icd pyro application. What a cruel world

  21. furina is, in my opinion, the best character in the game period. i don't think the "best hydro support" spot isn't as close as most people make it out to be. her only real flaw is hydro application. she does absurd damage, has a universal buff that also happens to have the greatest ceiling, great uptime, a ton of f2p options, does fine without constellations and scales super well with them. she's just. the best

  23. We need an enemy that’s immune to both Hydro and Pyro, to force the meta to play something outside of Vaporize. That, or add another amplifying reaction, maybe Geo and Dendro or something.

  24. Vars fumbling the Electro section for the third year in a row. It's either Clorinde and Raiden or Raiden and Kuki/Ororon (You can only use 1 cinder city per team, so if we get more and better Natlan supports Ororon will use market share in the buffer department). At this point Fischl shouldn't even be a consideration anymore, as she is at best the 5th best electro character.
    The rest of the list is great with my only nitpick being that Furina and Bennet are easily the best off-fielders for their elements.

I agree almost on all his takes except for….Of course Furina is not only the best support in game, but also the best character in the game….Not only with her #1 Abyss Usage, but also with her healing & insane dmg buffs. She also is a great sub-DPS in my case, coz my C0 Furina can deal 50k up to 70k dmg with her Mademoiselle Crabaletta.

  33. Here’s a video Idea – If you start playing Genshin today would you invest in legacy broken units and go after reruns or go for the newer charecters disregarding the older units.

  36. With anemo, wanderer is more ftp friendly than xiao and although he has lower dmg he has better clear times due to animation times on his fastest team, he should be on this list imo with the other two, especially because his cons are WAY better than xiao.

    For cryo, saying "when enemies can be frozen" is like saying when enemies are ventiable, people also solo abyss with wriothesly so he should be above ayaka.

    With electro, shogun is the best support by far. She has more aoe than fischl and yae, better general use than ororon who only has one use, better damage and range than kuki, better uptime than every other electro, i could go on.

    With hydro i sort of agree but imo its not that hard for the support, furina beats everyone else out

    No complaints for pyro dendro or geo though.

  42. You forgot to mention: Ororon's only great when there's another natlan character or u're running electrocharge. If not, he won't use up his nightsoul points to drop lightning and proc the full cinder city set

  46. Nobody even mentioning lyney is a mistake, his potential clear speed is higher than arlecchino. He has his problems: inconsistency, harder to pilot and less team flexibility. But still I think he should've been at least mentioned
