A pretty cool little detail that I've noticed when starting this game over is that they try to portray the female as the main protagonist in the opening cutscene she's the one that speaks first she's the one that attacks first but if you know the story of this game it kind of makes more sense to pick the guy because throughout the game at first you're a silent protagonist rarely ever speaks he's just on a quest to find his sister and he has a companion along the way but throughout the game he opens up a bit more he's more willing to speak and I'm not just talking about voice acting I'm talking about how the majority of the early game paimon speaks for you then towards the mid and late game you actually are having full blown conversations with your dialogue and just thinking about that makes me believe that this game was designed for you to play as the male character and the story with the sister actually makes a lot more sense throughout the game of her being the first one to speak the first one for the conflict in the story you found out she's the first one that arrived and you're you're looking for her so I think you are always meant to play as the guy and learn the story but they wanted to give the option to play as a guy or a girl
