Few weeks ago, I created a vote to take a look the popularity of the music from Childe Phase 3 and Teyvat Preview Trailer. I think Childe 3 is bit difficult and slow for me due to the instrumentation of the original song, so I went for Teyvat Trailer half way. (I created the same vote on Bilibili, and it was 8:2 which most of people choose Teyvat.)

Some people choose Teyvat Trailer BGM because they said there are different music in one video. I think this is exactly why I felt easier to arrange it because I don’t need to think about arranging the same melody in different way.

The recording is a pain because the tempo of some part are little bit faster or slower. (I always thought it’s at the same rate when I was arranging it) To make it easier to match with the trailer video, I decided to record some clips by itself to make sure its the same speed.

The hardest part for me to arrange is probably ‘Everwinter Without Mercy’. I firstly used simple block chords for this part and I found it’s bit thin on piano. However I don’t want to use sth busy like what I did in other parts either. It took me a really long time to try and I found my friend @Jasper Hu for his help. After the discussion, we decided using a dotted rhythm which won’t make the left hand taking over the melody but also bring right feeling from the original music (hopefully we did). He also helped me check the use of harmony and added some counter point for the ending section.

When I was recording the Everwinter part, I firstly record this part all with the metronome at the same tempo as original. I found it bit robotic and boring so I decided to record again to make some parts more free to bring the atmosphere.

Hope you will like this arrangement!

  2. Wow, it hits really different. I couldn't really focus on the music with Dainsleif narration so the transition to each region musics are really impressive to hear.

After listening to the transition to Sumeru, I've been wondering if it'll be like a dessert. Will we get dehydrated if we don't keep hydro character in check?
Fontaine feels like "justice" isn't really fair. You have to deceive even the law to survive. Interesting
So Snezhnaya is cold will it be like dragonspine so we have to set our pyro characters in check as our life lines… The music sounds tragic

  3. this ost sounds so tragic and overwhelming. it feels like each part of the ost plays as the traveler journeys each nation, at the end the same music from the start plays again because the traveler's only goal was to find their beloved one.

i feel like crying whenever i hear this ost, in a few years I'll be coming back here and be like " wow, genshin has progress so much. "

Yet buried in the depths of this world lies smoldering remains, a warning to those that dare trespass, that throne is the sky is not reserved for you. 8. Is it just me or does some of the themes gives out some vibes of Franz Liszt(my favorite classical music composer), especially Fontaine's theme, Natlan's theme as well as Snezhnaya's theme. Maybe because of the tremolos and arpeggios as well as the insane jumps(also the octaves) used in those themes, but it just makes me think of Franz Liszt. I am glad that composers from the past influenced the music of our time. (Please correct me if I am wrong but it's just my opinion don't take it too seriously.) Anyways, it's such an amazing arrangement! My favorite is the arrangement for the Inazuma theme because it sounds much more elegant and beautiful than the other arrangements I have seen. Keep up the good work

  9. Now I’m actually paying more attention to this because I just realized that each region’s theme plays along with their presentation. I just want all the upcoming soundtracks, right now😭
