Genshin impact’s technology is something that I really wanted to cover because I love when fantasy games do this kind of thing where they have ‘ancient’ or ” historic ” versions of our world’s technology.

  1. You know flying iron cage is possibly a zeppelin, won't get into too many specifics but unlike balloons a zeppelin has a frame that supports it structurally, like an iron cage, also the structure its carrying I guess. Or it could be a plane, but I doubt it since Teyvat doesn't seem to have powerful and compact enough engines for the job.

  2. I love how dev’s explore irl things so good. The father of the OG camera and film was actually French guy Louis Le Prince, he invented the first motion caption picture camera with 16 lens but never got it petitioned because he disappeared, then came Eddison’s version of camera and first movie was premiered. So, well done again dev’s and Hoyo’s research team! Never disappoints me..

  3. Ngl, Sometimes the tech level in these games are all over the place, you can have this piece of standard issue gear that stops time in a certain area except for the user, but it took a guy literally 500 years, god knows how many causalities, a hyper advanced relic that became sentient, and the meddling with beings so powerful that they're practically incomprehensible, all that, to bring one woman back to life.

Moral of the story: Don't get your hopes up Signora mains.

  4. i dunno but i always see similarities between kaenriah and the dwemer race technology from the Elder Scrolls series,i just get that vibe since both civilizations suffer downfalls that doomed the entire race, just leaving its technology and knowledge behind

  5. Thankyou so much for throwing in little diamonds of info here and there. I enjoy discussing genshin but knowing the speaker is an intelligent person in many other fields.

    Keep it up.

  7. …. Ok wait yeah, traveler going "what are films" is really weird when they also reference having seen the anime Macross in one of their voice lines??? It's indirect, but that's clearly Macross they're taking about.

  8. In the event the dude mentions the Daydream Club and that two of it's members are trying to build a rocket more or less.
Now I'm wondering how much and what kind of technology would go against the Heavenly Principles and get Fontaine in trouble…

  9. In the latest event, Evermotion Mechanical Painting, Felix mentions the Daydream Club, a group of inventors from Fontaine. Inventions include the Film Kamera, the Evermotion Mechanical Painting, the Numbering Machine, as well as some blueprints for a "…super-sized cannon. Their schematics state that it shall fire missiles that can fly high enough to touch the stars of Teyvat… all while carrying people inside" (basically a prototype space rocket).

Basically, Fontaine will be very technological in nature.

  10. 6:37 I just want to say Liyue and Inazuma HAS developed gunpowder in the form of fireworks, which was what gunpowder was originally used for before the first firearms. Also, in the Chasm, one of the world quests require the Traveler to use a cannon to break open a locked gate.

  11. It's not really tech, but it's rather jarring considering that Barbara is an idol singer. I mean like… a Japanese style idol singer. Looking at Barbara's character stories seems to suggest that this is, once again, entirely Alice's fault as she seems to have brought an idol magazine from our world and given it to Barbara to try to inspire her into becoming one. The hilarious part is that, since Teyvat previously had no concept for what was being described, Barbara heard "idol" and thought of higher powers like gods and was understandably nervous about trying to apply said term to herself. In the end, she somehow ended up being the very first "idol" in all of Teyvat thanks to Alice. I like to think that most of the world just considers her as a rather eccentric bard.
