STOP pulling WRONG in Genshin Impact!

In this Genshin Impact Beginner’s Guide, I am going to explain how pulling on Banners works. Therefore we are going to go over all different types of Banners: The Standard-, Event and Weapon Banner, as well as the Chronicled Wish.
I will explain in detail how Fates and Pulling works, how high the chances for 4 and 5 Stars are, what Pity means, Fate Points as well as 50/50.
And what’s more, I’m also going to tell you some secret tricks that the game doesn’t tell you but that can be extremely helpful for you to get the Characters and Weapons that you really want for your Genshin Account!

  1. My tips before I watch the video:
Stick to your favorite 5-star SS or S-tier DPS characters. You'll only need two, but you'll want to prioritize those first. Second, focus on your sub-dps and supports, these'll often be a mix of 4-stars and 5-stars so plan banner pulls when there's a high chance of BOTH, sometimes it's easier to get a 5-star furina than it is getting a 5 constellation Bennet. After that, you'll want to start weighing the damage bonus gained from the weapon banner or pulling more constellations, whichever you feel will fit your account best.

A lot of weapons today are hyper-specific to certain characters, making them a lot less value to your overall account. With these strategies, I've been able to 12-star the abyss with no problems for a while now. But I've been playing since launch(though I also wished for quiqui back in the day lol…) Once you have your two solid "meta" team, start pulling for who you think will be the most enjoyable to play.

-Powercreep is real, don't be afraid to skip
    -Don't build pity
-Expect pity around 70 pulls and begin singles
-Don't be afraid to backseat characters that wont fit into your new team
-Cheapest clear team I've found is Dendro MC, Xingcho, Kuki, & flex
-Always wait till the end of the month to decide to pull or not, key information regarding teams and characters might come out

  2. Wrong pull for me this patch is Clorinde
Correct pull for me this patch is Alhaitham

I hate that when I click the banners page, I see Clorinde's face on there first. There's a chance I might mistakenly role in her banner which is annoying if she ruins my pity.

  3. Clicked just to make sure there was nothing I didnt already know. There wasnt. But I am a well researched player of two years. I think this does cover every single important point for anyone who is newer or who watches less genshin content.

  4. for any new player never pull on weapon banner until you get all the characters you want only after that you can go ahead and wish for your favourite characters weapon next time they re run because instead of wasting primoes for weapon that you may or may not get its better off pulling for characters

  5. Even In low pity …. building pity on the banner with a 5 star you dont want is not a good decision… there is always possibility of winning 50 50 under 74, so be ok with that outcome as well.. for example for me i want Navia but next phase furina there and if have good 4 stars … i don't mind c1 furina and even if i lose 5050 its fine bc its carry over to Navia banner so here its 100% ok to build pity… as the video says you need to careful with your promo especially if your a F2P like me … Remember dont pull on weapon banners

  6. I hate to say this but….. this info is not 100% right. Its been proven over the time that 0.6% for 5 star is not true.
Genshin uses a way worse system. I will go by memory as some mod deleted the tread that had picture of 6000 people pulling rate.

1-20 you have 5.2 – 4.6 chance to pull a 5 star and gets lower with every wish. Once you hit 21-73 your rate drops to 2.3 – 2.6%. After 74 you have 8% to get a 5 star and increases by 4% for every pull. So 75 is 10%, 76 is 14, 77 is 16, 78 is 18 and 79 is 20. After 80 it drops back to 2.3% rate till 89 that has 80% chance to pull.

The pulling system in this game is designed to trick you to pull for more, thinking you will win next one. The double 5 star that people get is due to increased pity.

If you build pity — its save to go from 20-60, but pass this point the number goes over 2.6% and increases little by little to 74.

How do i know that? Well i been playing genshin since 1.0 and i used up the system to my advantage. Instead of using 10 wishes after 74, i just go singles and once i get 5 star i stop. This increases the chances to get a new limited 5 star on next patch by a lot and it saves primogems in long runs. If you pull double 5 (if same character), you will have way less currency for next patch.
95% of cons are wortless and only a few characters benefit from c1 and even then its mostly just a hotfix for them (like Hu tao).

Also as free to play, you will skip 4-5 banners till you get a character you want 100% so keep that in mind.
