as someone who does not have a good or even any bond with my family this short hit me so hard. I would do anything to bond and have a loving family and seeing mavuika give up all that to save natlan just upped my respect so much for her. Shes definitely my favorite archon along side furina (they share 1 throne)

It’s one thing when literal archon spend 500 years on something, be they prime adepti, elemental spirit or whatever, they naturally long lived, but when the mantle of an archon or in general playing with time fall on a HUMAN shoulder, maaaaan those 500 years turns into a torture. Himeko can’t catch a break across all of Hoyoverse. Like, damn, just let her be happy for once😭😭

With the numbers everytime Mavuika passes by the rest stops you'll see a road sign with a number on it, and each time this sign appears the number increases, till you finally see the final sign says 499, representing her long journey of 500 years into the future. she travelled all alone in the sacred flame after losing all her friends and family.
Also the fact that the rest stops breaking down and being rebuilt symbolize natlan getting destroyed by the abyss and being rebuilt again and again in those 500 years. She was conscious to see her nation get destroyed every time but she had to suffer all alone which is why her will almost breaks afew times till her sister reminds her.
I feel sorry for Maviika😢. She is really strong spiritually. For natlann 🔥
Not much action, but the short was so well made and i was so happy that you noticed how the bike sequence was her travelling through the 500 years. Always feels amazing to watch creators who really love the games they cover on their channels.

8:56 "brightest flame" it touches me that within Mavuika's memories, Hine's joy and adoration for Mavuika's bright hair (flame) at 3:13 has always been a precious memory in her heart, a piece that will never be taken away by the length of time (500 years). even when she could not recognise Hine at first, the memory all comes back immediately as if second nature when she takes a break.

Been watching random people reacting to this. You can see clearly people that are in with the lore enjoying this alot. Seeing the ancient name bearers is really something that hits deep. Those that do not play through the story or the game are just left clueless.

I wasn't really expecting this: I thought the short was going to show more events from the past, but they concentrated on how the characters (especially Mavuika) felt, and that's fine. Just art and emotion ☺

I dont really wanna make a reference back to Himeko but, considering that both are only human, dying, and still facing head-on with "god(s)", being the headspear for the valkyrie/natlanese, been waiting in limbo for Kiana/champions to achieve their victory, I just miss Himeko dearly.
I can't even imagine having to leave your family, friends, and everything behind so that the future can be saved..
Both Furina and Mavuika are human whose will has reached the leverage of a god, they deserved a true archon title
