  1. I'd argue against the importance of the lore in the limited events. Not that the lore is irrelevant, but most of it is just crumbs and feel like foreshadowing than anything substantial. If you missed out, the story is still coherent and any of the ideas that the limited events touched on are actually fleshed out in the main story. More often than not, limited events are just filler content teasing main content or is just additional world building that doesn't make sense to add into the main story. Albedo is an interesting byproduct here because while he's a 5 star character, he's technically a tease to a more important character, Rhinedottir, who still hasn't really made an appearance (as with the rest of the Hexenzirkel). When they do appear in the main story, we all just have to trust that everything about them will actually be explained properly.

  2. If you're okay with the bloated story and exploration then yeah i guess. If you're into endgame content and don't care for story then yeah its best to skip.

Sumeru made me hate those long bloated world quests. I skip it a lot.

  3. Yes! I really started playing during mid-late Sumeru and I believe Genshin is one of the best live-service games for a casual hour here or two there. Especially since it's free. I've played for a bit over a year and still have TONS of exploration and world quests to do.

  4. I started in 4.1 & I'm about to start Fountaine Archon Quest. I'm probably a little too fast πŸ’€ ( i also did all the World Quest and my desert area is all in 90% exploration )

  5. I've got a tiny bit of criticism I feel like I need to add: If I were a new player, 7:10 might give the impression that the base game doesn't have any story or lore outside of limited events – at the very least, it would make me think the majority of the story takes place in the limited events. Yes, some of the biggest lore drops and best story telling happen in them, but it's kind of just a drop in the bucket when compared to the vast amount of story content and lore in the game. Especially the deeper lore that provides the world-building and history; the vast majority of that is in item descriptions etc. There's so much that most people who care about it rely on the wiki and lore videos, which is probably why there are so many headcannons in contention with one another. If anything, there's too much lore in the base game – which, iirc, is a sentiment you've shared in the past.

  6. I wouldn't consider Genshin if you want to get every five star unless you want to whale this game. It is not realistic to be able to pull for every character in Genshin as a ftp or low spender. It can get quite frustrating too when you lose your 50/50. Also you need to farm materials and artifacts every time you get a new five star. This will eat a lot of your resources and time.

Choose your favorite characters wisely and highly recommend playing them in the trials for while to get a feel of them. Other than that, it's an amazing game that you can enjoy very casually. The characters, lores, and explorations are the best part of this game. This game really gives off breath of the wild vibe which is why I enjoy this game a lot still.

  7. I know that it's difficult to level up characters in the beginning of the game especially if the said character is from a nation further ahead in tge story but is it really that important to have your characters at max or atleast much higher level in the beginning of the game.
Like lvl40-50 characters perform well enough at say world lvl 3-4 til AR30 or so which is doable thanks to tge testrun system that provides a characters drops for their firat level up, upto lvl40

  8. Just treat the gacha aspect as a rouge-lite and resist forking out your credit card. Personally, I’d want them to set payment limits per month to at least show the verneer of helping out those predisposition to gambling. Or give characters after finishing their Story Quests, perhaps charge a AAA price for that.
