  1. Hello everyone, hope you enjoyed listening to my fanmade theme of Sandrone! This one has a different approach in compared to my previous two uploads. I felt like Pierro and Columbina’s theme were really experimental for me as I tried using classical elements but as much as I love classical music, it doesn’t feel like me. It made me feel like I was trying too hard to test my skills in order to sound classical and I feel like it wasn’t the time yet. Rather than composing tracks with the mindset of trying to sound like a classical composer, I thought it would be better if I find a way to fuse both worlds (classical and my own style). And the Sandrone theme I made was exactly my first experimentation of fusing both! It still has that subtle classical elements here and there but I brought back my “old” composition style and that is repetition that develops every 4 bars or so (similar to my Dottore theme).

As always, it has been fun creating these compositions as it really challenges me, both in my musical skill as well as imagination and also the ability to convey feelings through sounds. The reason why I picked Sandrone as my first ever experiment (at least personally) on fusing both classical elements and my own style is because I read that Sandrone experiments with humans as well (or at least made them a puppet). From what I read, the Fatui pyro agent was one of her experimentations (please do correct me if I’m wrong). Therefore, since she experiments with puppets/humans I think it would be fitting for me to experiment as well in terms of my own compositions!

Now let’s get a brief look on what elements/motifs are there in the song. If you heard my own fanmade Fontaine theme, I have this clock ticking sound which was played by strings in a pizzicato bartok articulation. The reason why I used that is to promote the idea of steampunk, the clock ticking sound could resemble the ticking of a steampunk engine, whether it was being started or running. I used that same articulation in the intro of Sandrone’s theme to hint that we might see a lot steampunk puppets when we meet her or in combat with her. Then as the track progresses, you can hear an alarm going on and off (something like a Submarine alarm?) which to give out the idea that Sandrone is losing her patience with her puppet and decided to take us to a duel with her. Which then her own theme which I created was first introduced at 0:55. It progresses to a Fatui theme to give a sense of belonging that she is in fact a Fatui Harbinger but then, it leads to a Fontaine theme. Now it hasn’t been confirmed at all that she will appear in Fontaine but I’m guessing with the ruin guard looking bodyguard of her (that we saw in the trailer) she could be residing in Fontaine. After the Fontaine motif ended, the track switched to a pure adrenaline section where it develops every 4 bars to give an adrenaline rush when we fight her.

Overall that was my thought process of this track! I apologise if I didn’t explain it very thoroughly as I am still in the middle of a commission and I’m more prone to being tired, but I always enjoy doing Youtube and connect with you guys and I always hope that my covers could be an inspiration to someone! I hope you enjoyed the cover and I wish you all an amazing day!

  2. I love the clock ticks and alarm sounds, especially at 0:44, and the ticks are really good at building continual movement and tension throughout the piece. Also, where did you get the alarm sounds from, they sound really cool!

  3. i imagine this as the 1st phase of the battle with Sandrone cause it feels almost ominous and a sense that shes holding back from using her true power

i also like to imagine that Sandrone might be a puppet herself and provided the blueprints for Scaramouche's giant robot making it seem like she might have an improved version of that giant robot after seeing Scaramouche's success with it

  4. I don’t think you’re far off from what the official theme will be at all, you captured and incorporated a lot of what I hope and expect Fontaine to be.

I don’t know the art of music very well, so I won’t bother trying to use all the terminology for the sounds like “strings, motif” etc. but as an avid reader and book writer, I can just imagine the setting:

Fontaine, the most “holy” of all nations in Celestia’s eyes, is threatened by complete destruction (Atlantis level stuff) and after a wild goose chase, you finally uncover the grand plot. The tension and stakes are incredible due to the fact the outcome of Fontaine has massive implications for the balance of power between Celestia and the Abyss and is the precursor to the final battle when all things come full circle in Celestia. The Archon Quest culminates with a city-wide chase; you’re hunting down Sandrone like your life depends on it, tailing her through the crowded streets, through the slums and underground tunnels of the dirty 20th century cities Fontaine was inspired by. The music revolves around one consistent sound, as you have one and one goal only. The orchestra is accompanied by the sound of the big clock bell, reminding you time is running out. It’s like a murder mystery, but on a Genshin Impact scale. The sprinkling in of electronic bass reminds you of who you’re chasing, the Marionette of all marionettes herself. You sprint across the rooftops as the city’s lights shine into the sky, illuminating the airships all about, running until you and Sandrone arrive on a platform in the sky… nowhere left to run. You and her turn to face each other, recognizing this is the ultimatum. With nothing left to say, the two begin to fight the desperate struggle.

Up above, in the starry night sky, Celestia watches from one side of space. And so does the Moon, on the opposite side; both are witnesses to the duel of fates.

Tremendous work on this theme. I absolutely can not wait to see my favorite Harbinger in action, creator of one of my favorite NPCs, along with my favorite nation and element. P.S. I do hope Fontaine will be when we’ll finally know the whole Celestia/Kaenhri’ah situation and define the ending of the game. Natlan and Sneznayha will just be two sides of the same coin in a journey that sees us preparing for the final conflict set in motion at Fontaine.

  5. can you like make your fanmade boss themes have higher bpms to have a sense of urgency in them? Also make more beats that are 50% more audible? When i sped this up at 1.75, it sounds way better

  6. I was wondering what would Traveler battle music be like. Cuz I feel like later in the story the Traveler will become from the main protagonist to the main antagonist. Because he tried everything for teyvat yet he never get anything in return.

  7. Took me a while to get some time and energy to properly listen to this production, and god damn it you have done it again! I've least expected some absolutely banger electronic elements with the orchestra. But I feel it fits incredibly well. Of course with that classic Fatui Theme and I love every detail here. Not much else I can say really. Once again you have yet again impress me with your arrangements and productions. Bravo!

  8. it's nice to see so much material from you lately. it looks like you are really obsessed with your business, I hope you don't forget to rest 🙂 at the first listening, I specifically did not read your resume for this composition in order to evaluate it as unbiased as possible. at first I felt that this "ticking of the clock" perfectly fits the rhythm of how the puppeteer pulls the strings of his puppet. also, the sound immediately adjusts to the alarm, the expectation of danger, great job. I love to guess every time how you will beat the "Fatui theme" next time. I am always amazed at your elaboration of imagery and logical meaning. thank you again for your labour!

  9. 1:17 this parts sounds like
Tsaritsa: Now, my gun to destroy celestia is finally completed, and you can't stop me traveller,
    harbingers, kill him.
    * traveller fight with the fatui harbingers while a lot of power is beeing shot at celestia, you see a scene of peoples running and scaried, the peoples dont know what to do, finally, the winter of no mercy is here. *

  10. There is a saying that a doll or puppet maker uses themselves as a model for their creation
I think Sandrone created Katheryne (which she modeled after herself) and her real name might even be Katheryne (or its variants)
If she's bionic, she might also even be the first Katheryne
And so I believe that the Adventurers' Guild is one of her puppets

My favorite Harbinger along with Columbina <3

  11. She seems like that character whos first phase sounds like a a classic russian opera, with a small sense of mechanical vibes. The second phase should twist it on its head, as you listen to music that makes you reminisce of the ruin machines, but the art has been improved and perfected by her. the theme has given way to a song showing that she has always been the puppet master.
But as a character, if we meet her, she seems like the character who thinks many steps ahead, making sure to pull on everyone's strings to get her goals fulfilled. Then as we learn more about her, she might be similar to Raiden, where she has replaced her body with a puppet. It fits in line with the character, being the puppet master.

  12. imagine her boss fight involving puppet clones of the sibling, except they all use a different element each

and many of them shoot out elemental projectiles or blast themselves if they die
