  1. It would have been so good if the Traveler had been in Fontaine at that time so we could beat up those NPCs who did this.. too bad the Traveler was probably still asleep from the incident in Khaenri'ah and now all that NPCs who did this have already " become water"

  3. When we went back to the real world and it contrasted with the past, I legit had to pause for 5 mins and cry it all out because damn, I think carole would've been happy that her efforts were not in vain and the melusines finally have their own place to live safely and happily. I wish neuvillete had time to talk to them one last time, but cheers to him for finally getting over his reservations

  4. 16:50 ohhh…so this is where the voice from the trailer was from.

btw, i am glad neuvillette didn't let him off with murders!! if you do something, then you should also accept consequences that comes with it. it is really tragic though.

  5. The part about racism and discrimination was one thing that you would expect at the time when Melusines were first introduced not simply as citizens but as public authority along with the rumor that is in a sense true that they were born from a leviathan type of creature that came from the Kh'anreiah Cataclysm. The clear sights of Melusines is not something people would understand at first. That was before the Kameras were invented. The problem was that it escalated through people who had agendas to dismantle the new systems that were set up by Neuvilette who too was recently brought to power as the new Chief Justice and changed the judicial and law system that was previously controlled by other factions. Those factions eventually went after and exploited the Xenophobia the Fontainians had with the Melusines at the time to put Neuvilette in a difficult position to reclaim their power over Fontaine's government they had previously.

Of course they aren't able to use their means to get themselves out of court because they were swiftly executed by the police captain at the time who went on a personal revenge plot seeing how he failed to protect an idealistic melusine who reminded her of his younger sister. While that captain ended the people responsible for conspiring against Neuvilette and targeted the Melusines for their agenda, Neuvilette still charged him guilty for abuse of power and authority which is understandable. That verdict while fair lead to Neuvilette betraying his only friend after having already lost another close to him due to the conspiracy but also smashed the audience's hopes of gaining personal profit for vouching for the innocence of that captain. That incident may have been the saddest moment in Neuvilette's life and it was the earliest in his career. At least his past fears of Melusine being mistreated had washed away slowly during those 400 years and now Neuvilette walks upon a Fontaine with humans and Melusines enjoying each other's company and living as equals. A Fontaine that came to be through the efforts he and his friends had worked to make a reality.

The Old Regime had long since disappeared as apparently the threat letter was just from an old crime boss who got in touch with his old connections to get some payback.

  6. Captain Vautrin reminds me of an Indonesian Special Forces serviceman Sergeant Ucok, one of his friends got into a brawl in a bar then murdered by an Indonesian gangster, that gangster got detained, but Sergeant Ucok stormed the prison to murder that gangster as a revenge, ended up brought to court martial and sentenced 11 years and Dishonorable Discharge.

  7. Carole and Vautrin. God, I feel so sorry for them. Carole for the racism and Vautrin for snapping and sacrificing his reputation for the sake of Carole and Neuvilette (to firmly establish his place as the CJ and fight harder for his people's place in Fontaine).
