Her spear not locking on is actually intentional. Any attack that places a totem, such as her ice spear, Zhongli's pillars, most geo constructs, etc. will be manually targeted, because it's actually more useful to be able to place them where you want than to have them auto target. This isn't an issue as long as you're conscious of it and press the correct direction – I actually wish there was a way to turn auto target off for other attacks because I prefer that.
I tried royal spear on rosaria and im surprise that its better than the blackcliff polearm, btw i build her full cryo with chongyun

Honestly I really enjoy my current comp Hu Tao, Rosaria, Xinqiu, Diona. Diona is probably the least used member but I like the safety net of her ult + shield, and Rosaria is just a quick switch in after Xinqiu but before Hu Tao, my Rosaria isn't fully built yet and has still added quite a lot imo, The cryo resonance also helps. I plan on running 2 piece bloodstained, 2 piece cryo build on Rosaria, the phys is there just to cover for pyro slimes :). (Side note: I might actually get Xinqiu past level 60 since the birds won't be super annoying.)

She seems good at multiple things: physical DPS, cryo DPS, and cryo support, but so are Kaeya and Chongyun. So while she’s not bad, most people have no reason to use her.

I drew her 1st day, 12 wishes. Built her up, gave her a solid set of artifacts n a weapon id been using on xaio. I like the fact her 1st ult freezes, im not huge in the 2nd one. And her basic attacking is nothing special. Only using her for the jiggly and they nerfed that bad. Mihoyo let me down.
