  1. Ones I haven’t played: venti Xiao Kazuha Zhongli Childe
Yelan’s really sticks out in my memory because of how much I LOVED. The luhua pool domain. The lighting, everything was so breathtaking. With 2.7 and her quest and perilous trails, mhy has been delivering creative gorgeous domains consistently and I’m just in awe of the design. The political part was actually interesting because it showed the shadow side of the Qixing and the behind the scenes works that Ningguang is so famed of conducting. I also loved how the tea house npcs had to swallow their pride hahaha that was so good.

Yae’s not my favorite character but her quest was fun because it explored the spiritual aspects of inazuman society, we got to write a book? Which was so out there I enjoyed it thoroughly, we got to utilize that restaurant so that was cool, and the shrine scene at the end almost made me cry. The cinematics in this game are brilliant.

Ei is a character I’m wary of for many reasons, from her view on innocent civilians being collateral damage and her decision to place the well-being of citizens into the hands of a rigid cruel puppet of all things. The fact that she made and abandoned scaramouche doesn’t help her case either. But the first quest gave us dango milk and the funny light novels, and the second one was very cool, because it showed how the leylines actually work (as opposed to us having to only clean them in the Sakura cleAnsing world quest), and the entire sequence with Makoto’s voice and planting the Sakura tree with the help of istaroth of all people, brilliant. Also of course the khanrieah lore, undoubtably the most important information we’ve gotten from any archon so far. And the exchanges between yae and Ei are so cute.

Ayaka and yoimiyas quests made me actually like Inazuma, which I’d hated before because of the state ritou was in. I basically fell in love with Ayaka especially with the dance, and yoimiyas love for fireworks has so many layers and parallels to eternity. Albedos was so boring I didn’t even read the dialogues I just skipped everything which is very unusual for me. Similarly I liked Eula’s for the dark side of mondstadt but it was also underwhelming. Hu Taos was very interesting because of the npcs and how they never forgot their friends ;-; also my F2P ass got to try out Hu Tao :’)

  2. No offense but I disagree with most of the ratings. I can see how cultural differences play an important role in how these story quests are perceived by different audiences. It’s understandable that people from non Chinese background playing in English aren’t capable of grasping the full capacity of the Liyue character stories.

  3. the way albedos story quest transitioned instantly to the original dragonspine event quest made me not realise it was a story quest at all, i thought it was just part of the dragonspine event quest

  4. I really liked Childes, Ittos storyquests & Raidens SECOND quest. They were about the characters, their motivations, past and overall were dope. No wonder theyre my favorites

  6. Funny thing is that I agree to almost all of your takes on the story quests… For some reason almost all of the story quests made for the characters feel like they're not even meant to be about them instead about some random NPC, which sucks because these could have been more reasons to have like a character more. Only ones I remember the most were Mona, Ayaka, Ganyu, Tartaglia and Itto, which among all of the characters 3 of them prior to their quest I don't even particularly like as a character at all.

  7. I like Yoimiya’s quest out of all innazuma characters since I think hers resonates with the ideal of the region the most. In the land of eternity, there is this nice girl appreciating and trying to get people to appreciate the beauty of every fleeing moment in the form of the fleeing fireworks. That’s pretty poetic. The end of Yoi’ quest truly brings out this contrast. I remember I played it when it first released and that got me to tears and I ended up whaling for her and her weapon.

  8. I feel like the plots of the character story quests are really dependent on the main timeline. For example, the first part of Ei's story quest was taken place not long after the vision hunt decree was abolished. Bc of this, the quality of the character story quests can be affected and it leads to certain people disliking certain character story quests. Idk if this makes sense but it's what i think.

  9. I disagree about Kazuha's story! If you think about it his story is some serious foreshadowing of Scaramouche (where the sword represents Scara).

    Regardless, I love your videos!

  10. Kazuha's story quest is one of the worst in my opinion. So much talking for such little payoff. There were some great messages and themes in there, but as usual Genshin butchered it.

I also really liked Ei's first quest. I think a lot of people misunderstand that quest and call it a dating sim, hangout, waifu bait, etc. But that's not what it is. That quest shows just how out of touch and flawed she actually is as a character.

  12. hot take : i like ayato as a charcter and the fact that his history quest is the only one who puts the fact that we are in a nation with political and human really buy me in…. ayato is some one who doesnt involve himself into things unless is nescesary and he takes the state of inazuma really seriusly … hell his own character preview lets us know " i do this so everyone has a home to go to" it really shows how mature he is … also i like how we are in his inner circlet just like diluc…. and i wish we get one day actually both ayato and diluc helping us out personally
