  1. Who the fuck cares about exploration 😂 it's fun at the start maybe but after a while it becomes a chore to go open every chest and get every collectible…thank God honkai doesn't have huge maps..its a win for me and for many other people

  2. HSR would be the better game BUT not leagues better. Maybe slightly better or even just objectionaly better. In Mihoyo's defense, it would be a step back to make a newer game that would feel like a shabby Genshin clone. My opinion is that HSR has that great balance of HI3's high octane bursts of action mixed with Genshin elements.
Maybe in the future they would make a MOBA with Hoyoverse chars and call it Star Rail Impact

  3. i dont like Gi's Casual combat or fights they are boring and combat is just three buttons no thinking easy af at this point its everything except a action rpg since its "Action" is boring af also i did play the game A lot in its hey day before 3.0 as a hardcore but now its nothing more than for casuals and its so called "Big Fights " are boring as fuck just run and left click then E and Q for ulti too boring.HSR's combat is better story is far more well written and also i kinda love the smoothness and constant updates of the game sometime's Open world doesnt make it immediately better. ALSO WHO's FKING IDEA WAS IT ADDING CARD GAMES TO A LITERAL GACHA AND ALSO MAKE BORING ASS EVENTS !

    "What's better?
    A TV or a dog?"
    What?

  5. Definetly HSR is better. Becasue it's a new game, and people haven't got tired of it.

Well, i just like both. But my time is limited, so i have to quit genshin becauese farming relics takes too much time while HSR has auto play.
i can watch Twitch stream or youtube videos, while farm relics in HSR in the same time.

BTW, relic system really sucks, or farming sucks.

  6. I mean…me personally although not Gachas Modded Skyrim is a much better open world experience that also provides way more customization than Genshin. Genshin outfits are a disgrace…

And Persona 5 Royal, while not a gacha I strongly feel is a much superior Turn Based RPG than Honkai: Star Rail both in story and Gameplay by a mile.

But if i had to choose between Genshin and Star Rail im going with Honkai: Star Rail because the Gameplay is beyter overall.

  7. I have high hopes for future characters in Star Rail, but I prefer the fantasy aesthetic in Genshin. I play both games, and don’t plan on quitting either one. It’s hard for me to have a non bias answer, though. But, Star Rail could still have planets that have a fantasy style, since every planet has their own fashion.

  8. I play for the story and HSR has been great. All the way points means I don't spend most of my time running around. When I need to, I have infinite stamina. Farming can be done in auto. GI is good, SR is better for me, my time constraints, and train for gaming.

  9. Until you remove all predatory monetisation and sell the games complete for $70, with fully fleshed out DLCs for $20 give or take, then this question is entirely moot.

  10. I have yet to play star rail(cuz they haven’t given console a release date yet) but genshin to me is a really good casual game and love playing it whenever I’m in mood for it and I’ll probably play both anyway as long as there fun
To me as long as the game is fun to play I really do not care which game is better

  11. honkai impact fyi which came out before genshin impact also had better story telling than genshin so just coming after does not mean they learned anything from genshin as atleast some of the dev team is from honkai impact not from genshin

  12. I think that HSR has a better combat than Genshin because of the stategy element. The character path, element for weakness breaks, speed, and when they get their turn. While in Genshin, you just mix the elements to form a reaction to deal bigger damage.

  13. Best honkai impact : 3 faction war
Best genshin impact : summer archipelago
I wish we can get 3 faction war on GI or HSR. The fun things is drama on social media or discord while the war going.

  14. Stair rail is just a boring copy paste of Genshin. It has no personality and combat is just click auto and wait results… You cannot jump or climb and you pass a lot of time just skipping infinite lines of boring text and nosense scenes… Why you guys put so many hype on it? If that's the better of this year we are doomed

  15. honkai is average turn base game, how can you judge them its like comparing LoL to runescape

if you are a new player id suggest genshin you have more content to go through and more enjoyment over all cause you are more immersive with your characters opposed to the turn base combat game play but if that is your thing then play that instead

but just invest into the game you feel you will enjoy more based on your previous games

i would say genshin is the winner, even though i haved played it since first banner but i quit due to health reasons at the time and just never came back into it cause im a moba player, but im also a turn base player in chess and summoners war etc been playing that for 10 years now

i personally feel honkai literall has 0 end game content and youll reach it in a few days while genshin will take abit of time so because you get more time played through a game you are enjoying genshin wins

  16. Funny how stressed out players can be about who is number one 😂. Depending on the answer is also the only game you could play. Like wtf… 😅

  17. It's not, and that's not an opinion. People just have star eyes for new shit, but will reach the same burn out in star rail 1000% quicker, turn based can only take you so far.

  18. What do you call high quality? I really mean it when I say you people are clowns who only play games for pretty lights and naked girls, none of these games are any good the limit you too much to do anything meaningful with no energy.

  19. At the end of the day, it's about do you want to play a gotcha turn based or a gotcha action rpg. Both are high quality. Personally I like turn based rpgs so I chose star rail.

  20. I like them both, but if HSR doesn't increase their game play difficulty then I'm gonna drop it. The only challenge at this point is logging in everyday.

  21. The choice is really simple; Genshin Impact causes carpal tunnel syndrome, HSR does not. Farming artifacts in Genshin is not only frustrating due to horrible drop rate, but also physically exhausting — meaning it's not fun to play for a long period of time. As for HSR, I can play this game for hours on end even when it ran out of content to consume. I mean I can farm for relics while making coffee or using the bathroom, something you cannot do in Genshin.

  22. Its beyond annoying at this point, you cannot compare two different core experiences, two different ways of writing, two different art style directions, two different genres being sci fi and fantasy. No one in their right minds would compare Arknights to any of Hoyoverse's titles cause again two VASTLY DIFFERENT experiences. I'll ask a honest question who here would compare Arknights to PGR? It frustrates the hell out of me as a gamer who loves video games seeing this stupdity.

  23. Well, wait till ZZZ comes out. I’m just trying to be based, enjoying both games at the same time and feasting on the drama created by “players” who don’t even play the game.

  24. Genshin's world is way prettier hands down, but in general I'd recommend Star Rail to my friends who are interested in hoyoverse games simply because it's so much more respectful to your time. You get a snappier story, more efficient exploration, better end game quality of life, and the joy of gacha character collection with some fun gameplay all for a fraction of the time investment.

  25. 🌸😹I know not why the competition betwixt the two communities, but I enjoy both! Though admittedly I have been having a tad bit more fun betwixt Honkai Star Rail.

I would utter Genshin’s combat to be far superior, but I would utter Star Rail’s story and character portrayals to be far superior!😹🌸

  26. Its Honkai Star Rail without a doubt. It still focuses on combat being the primary focus, while Genshin became nothing more than a mini game simulator. Genshin had promise as an amazing open world RPG. But it failed due to the devs deciding endgame content and combat focus being to "anxiety inducing" and so chose to remove that from their plans completely. The story of Genshin is okay, but overly stuffed with filler and an excessive focus on pointless NPC quests. Honkai Star Rail certainly has some of those story aspects, but overall has focused more heavily on a great progressive story and lore building (though it's still too early to determine if that trend will continue).
I'll give it to Genshin on having a better world exploration, though that's a given with the type of game it is. But in every other category I would say that Star Rail comes out on top.
Oh, and plus Star Rail doesn't have Paimon. That alone is enough to make it vastly better lol
PS: to those that prefer Genshin, your opinion is perfectly valid and you are free to enjoy whatever you like. But Genshin has proven time and again they don't care about players, just the bottom line of money and the fastest route to it. They placate to casuals for a game designed for moreso for hard-core players. Whereas Honkai Star Rail has already shown more willingness to listen to the entire fan base on making changes and improvements over a shorter time to give every type of player an enjoyable experience. And I think that will become even more apparent as more time passes and the devs still show less willingness to give a good game to all types of players with Genshin
