  1. The point is that any characters moving forward from this will only have one release version, and it will be pre-censored. We won't be getting new characters with non-christian-puritan outfits.

  2. The only outfit I like is rosaria. If mona wear skirt we can see thr panties. But what are they gonna do with future characters. Will they release 2 versions of same character?

  3. Jean and rosaria look better
But mona looks bad, most characters in this game have stockings so I kinda liked how she was unique
Amber looks cleaner and I noticed her chest is hidden more now and it's kinda alarming that they had to censor her just because of that, that's very strict….

Btw does this also mean paid outfits like the jean skin wont have skin shown/ the future paid skins will also be made with censorship in mind?

  4. From what i see on the cn side the gov over there have no issue with genshin but there are tones of haters that want genshin dead, so they keep reporting the game as luwd.. so much the gov had to take action..

  5. No offense but that morals are ridiculously ancient XD, just look at Jean she seems like an old middle age lady WTH. They seem even oppressive jaja OMG can't wait till they change Eula… XD

  6. For all the people praising this form of censorship…
I hope you also realise that characters like Venti and Xinqui are being targetted?
Chinese censorship laws are also against any expression of feminine male characters.
This whole situation has been about draconic censorship and the suppression of freedom of expression & creativity.
Are you people really willing to side with the ccp just to promote some pseudo feminist agenda about the supposed sexualization of FICTIONAL characters?

  7. this might reverse a common practice for western game makers
they change games for years now to have them published in china
here we might get a chinese company that changes content to be appealing to western audiences

tho it seems that the version we have is what they actually want to produce and ironicly a chinese company changes their own product for
their home country, art should stay free of censorship

but its all about money so they will have to bow down to the pooh ultimately

feel bad for chinese art producers

  8. The only reason I don't like this is by principle of what the censorship is. There's no logical reason to censor the initial designs other than the Chinese government clutching their pearls

  9. In fact, there are many insiders against miHoYo in China. It is not excluded that this is a malicious report by an insider, and this audit mechanism is very strict in China.

  10. Why not simply work the characters in reverse concept wise? First make the artwork leaning conservatively so the CN can relax, then slip the western versions in game upon release.

Example of what I mean is Shenhe. Her artwork revealed her navel albeit through the bodysuit and apparently that was too much. So I say the beta and artwork hides the navel. But then go more fanservice with the in game release.
