Hey everyone! I wanted to take some time to discuss the subgroup of characters who specialize in Physical Damage, whether they’re able to compete with elemental characters or if their lack of proper usage of their element hurts their viability!

Oh i didn't know you also have a GI channel, nice
I built Aloy as my main carry phys DPS because that's just how I roll.
"Razor has long faded from viability-" Does that mean he's bad or has fallen off? Or he's just weaker than the other physical dps? I've used the character before and he seemed to perform just fine. Has his issues, but he's a physical character that can get the job done just as well as any other character could. Not Eula lvls, but still pretty solid.
First of all you got yourself a new sub,i love Genshin content but most channels are asskissers, they never criticize the game and its issues because they lick the feet of MHY in order to get sponsorships and free stuff,i'm against that kind of censorship so this honest content that is also unbiased since it takes into consideration both good and bad points is awsome.
Eula to me is pretty balanced, yes she is "broken" in the sense that if we compare the maximum possible amount of pyro dmg you can scale on a character and the maximum phys dmg bonus you can scale o n her yes comparing those two numbers do show her as broken, but she's not because at the end of the day she can do with all those scalings as much dmg as the less scaled elemental dmg in a reaction, problem is not that Eula is broken or that phys dmg is not viable, the problem is that all other phys dmg dealers except Eula don't have enough scaling to begin with which leaves her as the only phys dmg dealers that can keep up with the other means of dealing dmg to enemies to begin with.
I love Eula,i main her in my shatter team alongside Rosaria built also for physical aswel as Barbara for heals and hydro procs and electro trav for quick superconducts and they do more than enough but yeah my underleveled and with low lvl bad artifacts can do as much dmg as my Rosaria which is leveled up and has good artifacts cuz she was in my roster before i got Eula,so the scaling is rlly easy to notice when an under-upgraded character can do as much dmg as an almost maxxed one.
Another easy way to solve the phys issues is i admit making physical dmg purely bypass a portion of defence, literally ignoring it,for exemple an enemy with 1000 defence will use all that defence in defending against pyro attacks(so long as there aren't buffs that make said pyro atks bypass defence) meanwhile phys dmg could have by default a certain precentage of bypass defence like let's say a 20-3-% bypass,so without any buffs in play a pyro atk would go against 1000 defence then the game calculates everything but a phys atk would basically go against 700 defence and only after that the game calculates everything,so either alot more scaling of a way to bypass defence and shields better than elements,as you grow in AR and levels aswel as WL the enemies are mroe and more buffed not to mention most get elements which in early game they don't so basically phys is OP early on but weaker later on so its kinda left behind a bit.
They should add new sets of artifact which provide Emotional damage 😂
As a dedicated Shatter Chongyun player, I really wish they reworked Shatter reaction – at least let it crit damn it!
“I know Jean has the option to build physical damage. But in all seriousness, hardly anyone uses her as their main character.”
*Jean main w/ physical stats ascends to Celestia*
Very biased because I love my Razor, so: RAZOR SLANDER! (Not being serious, just saying he's not viable is a bit harsh.)
I currently have him built as a mix of physical and electro, mostly because I happened to get ridiculously good substats on the electro artifacts and don't have good physical ones yet to replace them. He's doing pretty well as DPS so far in both regards. I honestly think he's amazing, especially for a 4-star.
One thing I'd change about him specifically is that I'd love his burst to be more like Ayato's skill (hold down the button continuously to attack, rather than mash it). Mostly just an ease of use thing.
Definitely agree that more Superconduct-like reactions would be beneficial to the game and to the potential of physical units.
Video idea
Why everyone plays: with your feelings
Physical kokomi isn't a thing. Physical kokomi isn't a thing. x 100
Physical kokomi: upto 40k [flat value is less than 30k but with enough res shred one can acheive it] AoE physical dmg with a bubble.
The bonks are becoming to frequent to be coincidental, a fellow Dobro perhaps lol
I've mained machine gun fischl since I started playing, crowned and everything. I want better artifacts for her, but even with a really bad crit ratio (49:156), she hits 20k on enemies with just her autos and superconduct. she's super fun to play for consistent damage with pretty much no cool down.
Ok vars, shogun video when? Hmmmmmmmmmm?
Poor cryo boy.
2:49 tuonto would like to have a word with you
Elements is their main selling point, and its already been shown with Eula that if they do go for new physical characters, they're gonna have to be cracked beyond comparison. Phys may be few and far in between, but they'll be the most wanted and speedrun possible units.
bro I still use physical fischl
Other phys damage units should be Zhongli and Rosaria, what brings me to say that I made a phys team WITHOUT superconduct based arround Xinyan and Rosaria stacking phys res debuf somewhat equivalent of superconduct, and though this team have some problems like needing high constelations on both character or the uptime phys res debuf being lower, also open ap a lot of other options alowing a much wider range of elemental reactions and resonances, like in my case I use Bennett and Diona for a melt/phys team that also have both the cryo and pyro resonances with a decent output for the all the damages involved even though only uses 4 stars with somewhat crapy artifact sets.
Anyway, my point is that I dont think that its true that its absolutely nesesary to have superconduct involved in phys teams, there is also others thing that could be said about ways to the theme like, say if they were to add a hydro phys character, that would sudenly make a huge shift in the phys meta as it would enable shatter phys teams, increase the value of the hydro resonance + clam set and the dragonspine weapons.
Zhonglis shield can decrease physical res by 20% i think so if you have him you can have a mini super conduct
When you started mentioning and referencing Naruto in the middle of your explanation I instantly realize you’re a novice you tuber lmao

Mistsplitter and Haran: "are we a joke to you?"
2:51 he just insulted tuonto lol
