Why do I always think this was an event quest not a story quest 😂
This is why I love Liyue cutscenes the most. Even Yun Jins performance was so good
Its been a year now and I still can't believe it. This quest legit traumatized me. I got halfway (about when Xiao says he wants to make a will and then sacrifice himself) and I turned off the game for two days before coming back. I was terrified that we were going to lose Xiao. Since he's 1/6 characters that I really like, it would break my heart. I forced myself to go back and finish the quest and during this cut scene, I may have shouted when he decided to sacrifice himself. At the end I was so angry and upset that I just curled up in bed and cried. Seems silly to get so worked up over a character but after that, I took a hiatus from Genshin impact. I needed time to cool off after this quest. I think the two chasm quests we got were pretty heavy bombshells and emotional. Having them back to back just raised the stakes. Smart move by writers.

This quest is the only one that can make me really cried hard. Like i was cried when yelan shout Xiao! but, i was relieved when xiao get saved by zhongli and not long after that, i got really cried when another scene coming up which tell us the past about bocasius and boyang. Holy shit man, 2.7 is really a great time to get roller coaster of emotional damage all around

As soon as I saw the geo orbs saving Xiao I knew that it was Zhongli, truly the best cutscene in an archon quest in Liyue by far..

I swear this is still one of the most memorable cutscenes for me. Call me dramatic but I was actually crying when Xiao was falling into the oblivion. I can't bear to lose my favorite character 😭
