  1. Throughout the whole Genshin community only "Wei*" cooks the best theory and the most accurate one at that, he theorycrafts that the setting for the traveller and paimon is similar to some novel and according to that and other hints Paimon is the primordial one shortened just like Nahida.
And many of his past theories turned out to be true

  2. [SPOILER WARNING] I always thought that Paimon was connected to the heavenly principles (or whatever the god at the beginning of the game is called). Over time my theory developed that Paimon is what's left over after that God was corrupted. Kinda like how Focalors seperated herself from Furina, but it probably wasnt something she did on purpose. The games story has a lot of events where "x" is corrupted and the traveler has to clear it out. It wouldnt suprise me if that God was trying to protect Teyvat from something trying to come in that was corrupted, and the only way they could do it was through self-sacrifice. It would also kind of make sense why that god was hostile to the travelers for absolutely no reason. Like their brain is like I need to remove hostile entity, to literally just everything it comes into contact with. If its just the shell of a God it would also give some reason why Teyvat lost contact with Celestia

  3. Just imagining our post genshin story without the traveler and paimon stays for the next MC. I honestly want to see a story but this time someone that's bound to teyvat seems fun, maybe we can have it as the 5th descender. Born and bound to teyvat but has the will to change the world.

Maybe our traveler's story is only covering teyvat's history and painting our image of teyvat while the next MC can tackle the abyss a bit more. They can have something even deeper in lore about the abyss if they want to continue

  4. Genshin Means Primordial God(I Think) so Genshin Impact means “Impact of the Primordial God” which could refer to Paimon and her impact on the world through the Traveler
Edit: When it comes to mythological references, Paimon is a demon who is like a guide or something to Lucifer and the Traveler is like Lucifer in that they literally lost their powers(grace) and fell into Teyvat

  5. And I’m also gonna say this which you may have covered already but there is no harm her cuff links resemble a celestial spike maybe indicating that she is trapped down or pinned to stay on the land of Teyvat maybe to keep her from going back to celestia

  6. According to one of the travelers voice lines , paimon described her as the god of protection.
Remember paimon doesn't give us the power of stopping time or fast forward it , we wait for the time or moreover it's a game feature..

    According to CrazyMarble…
