  1. there are many theories and i cant decide which one i like most, some say shes the real primordial one, or a seelie but i dont think paimon is the only person helping the traveler, personally, i dont think we are the travelers, i think we are the unknown god, why? we almost never see the travelers pov, and the mails from P. A. I. M. O. N. are to us. not the traveler,

  2. Also, about Paimon being the Primordial Seelie (i.e. the Seelie who fell in love) or being related to her. The Caribert Archon Quest revealed that the Hilichurls, while already known to be from Khaenri'ah thanks to the previous Dainsleif quest, were revealed to be instead people that lived in the old kingdom but weren't native to it. So they got cursed with the Hilichurls forms, while the pureblooded Khaenri'ahns were cursed with immortality. Now take into account that Seelies are only shadows of what they once were, and that if Paimon is indeed a Seelie, then she is the only one with a "human" form, and you have a similar situation.

Seems like the divines love coming up with twisted punishments for the transgressors.

  3. Another thing is a small detail that had big impacts in the act 2 of fontaine archon quest. Remember when navia had invited us for a meal. Paimon drank her drink. If navia drank it, she'd be dead. I don't think this was accidental on paimon's part. She knew what that was and decided to save her and had given a subtle warning about her drink.

  4. it does make a lot of sense, but in the end… mihoyo could make paimon whatever they want to, following logic or not, they can just create one out of their ass whenever they feel like.
She doesn't seems to be immune to "Teyvat laws" since she forget things like everybody else when irminsul get changed.
So i doubt she is "so high up" like someone suggested in some videos, the seelie thing makes a lot of sense.

  5. This would be such a good story arc for her being the child of two lovers one a seelie and one a normal human instead of her turn out to be the unknown goddess like people have been predicting

  6. In additions, we know that Seelies guide people to treasures. Well, what has paimon been doing? Guiding the traveler over Teyvat. Oh, and she also loves finding Mora and treasure. The real question is… what’s the ultimate treasure that she’d guiding the Traveler to?

  7. There are two answers for what paimon is. And confirmed in text in genshin impact. Paimon is emergency food, and paimon is paimon. Both said by paimon, traveller and other characters
Simple, in the final battle, we eat paimon to have the strength to win

  8. What paimon is to me? She’s a curse the biggest embarrassment and pain in the ass I want her gone
What paimon is to the game, I believe she’s a traitor she will betray us and will be the final boss when we ascend to celestia

  9. Who would've thought the seelies were an ancient RICE.
Jokes aside I was expecting a mention of the Melusine seer who sees Paimon as a "rainbow balloon with a white thread going all the way to the sky" and the traveler as "a gold monster capable of swallowing the entire world".

  10. Wei has a really good theory that PAIMON actually stand for Primordial Algorithm Ins-transient Matrix of Overseer Network. Like the king Deseret robot boss, The Algorithm of the Semi Intransient Martrix of Overseer Network, that we fight in the desert, except she was created by the Primodial one to guide/watch the traveler through Teyvat. It may be that the entire Seelie race was part of this Primodial algorithm network to guide humans and like Deseret’s BenBen, only PAIMON survived.

  11. (GENERAL INTRODUCTION): I think that Paimon is the First God or the Original God that "created" or rules over the others gods, that's why she is immune to both celestial and abyssal powers. (that's why she wears a crown) She is the Unknown God that appeared at the starting of the lore.
Canotila, in the world quest in the Melusine village, said to Paimon: "But to my eyes, Paimon is just like a little rainbow balloon floating in the air, and her string seems to extend upward, to somewhere above the sky itself…" and this would explain the theory I've just mentioned.

(EVIL VERSION): Maybe, because of her actions against the twins (she didn't want them to interfere with her world? she is a tyrant?), the other gods rebelled to her and throw her down in the sea. She lost her powers (the 7 elements) and now she is helping the Traveler because he/she could help her to recover her power since only he/she is the only one who can absorb every element. She don't want the Traveler to reunite with his/her sibling because then they would leave the world and abandon her or they could ruin her plans about ruling over the world.

(KIND VERSION): The "evil gods" rebelled to her, used her to attack the siblings (the Unknown god was like corrupted by something) and then she fel down in the sea becuase she lost her powers (the 7 elements). Now she is helping the Traveler because he/she could help her to recover her power since only he/she is the only one who can absorb every element. Becuase of this power the Traveler could also help Paimon to create a new peace in the world. She don't want the Traveler to reunite with his/her sibling because the other one "have completed the journey" and knows the identity of Paimon, and if the Traveler discover it he/she might become furious with Paimon.

For both EVIL and KIND versions, Canotile also said about the Traveler: "If I really must say, then I see a monster that looks like it could swallow the whole world in a single bite." and this would describe the reaction of the Traveler when he/she will discover the truth.

(BONUS BC I'M MENTALLY UNSTABLE): Paimon is the Ancestor Seelie and the siblings are her childs. This would explain their powers and the inexplicable affection that she have for the Traveler. (also if her memories were erased the bond between a mother and her childs is indissoluble (romantic vibes))

Everyone tell me what do you think about my theories, thanks for reading.

  12. This is what I've been pondering:

I believe she is not a seelie, but an archon of archons. A king of archons. When taking a look at all original names of the archons (beelzebub, buer, etc), paimons name fits in with the theme. Her name is the same name as the king of demons.
She also appears to control time (only able to move forward) and perhaps she reverted like guoba and lost her ability to go backward in time (or having full control of time) as well as her memories of who she really is.
The primordial one could very well be her when thinking of primogems (a play off the word primordial) and their design. Paimons design strongly resembles primogems, archon statues, and the stars that fall from celestia.
When being told she has a string to the sky I took it as she has a strong link to celestia (which should be just beyond the fake sky we learned about from nahida)
When being told traveler is like a monster, there's a chance paimon was sent there or went there herself to meet the traveler because of the travelers true fate (which if she's the archon of time/primordial one, then she wouldve known of the future and the past as well as fates)
Seelies were said to resemble elves, pointed ears and fair features. Paimon does not have pointed ears, but does have fair features. It'd be safe to say she has something to do with the seelies, archons, and moon goddesses. When linked to all three and the world of teyvat itself it seems she has a likeness to the primordial one.

This theory isn't perfect or anything but just wanted to share ~
