Official Ganyu Banners & Concerns. Should You Pull? – Genshin Impact

I apologize for the buzzing noise in the beginning of the video. The washer/dryer was running. Weapon banner is bad. Xingqiu is amazing! Noelle is awesome. XiangLing is nice. Ganyu is concerning but WAIFU! Press “Show More” for links.

  1. Honestly this is good for me, all this ganyu is not good must skip will be a blessing to me that way I don't have to fight for my turn to use her xD I'm both a mobile and pc player and my aiming isn't terrible on mobile so her aim shots aren't an issue to me.

  2. Sure, thighs, but she is an archer and not a flashy one at that… I'm far from pity, so i'll try to get a XQ or Noelle, hope i won't get any more Xianglings, considering i have enough for 2 4 star pity at best ahah

  3. DPS Ganyu is hardly constellation locked, it's support Ganyu who benefits most from constellations. She's honestly the least con locked 5 star DPS, Xiao after her. C1 and C4 give her minor damage boosts, the others benefit support more. Max DPS Ganyu is gonna be doing charge attack tech. C6 will be more fun, hardly more effective.

  4. 6:15 So… Hum… I still think you are underestimating cryo Main DPS.
Yes, the reaction damage (and, thus, damage ceiling) is lower compared to Pyro or hydro. But as long as the base multipliers are good, cryo mains have a lot of potential:

    1) Blizzard set + hydro means perma-freeze + 15 DMG bonus + 40% crit rate (add another +15% crit rate with double cryo).

Sure, it is likely to have a lower DPS ceiling compared to a Diluc comp, but… That perma-freeze can be really helpful at times. That means not having to worry about hedgehogs, pyro agents, and Cincin mages moving around the screen. Or about giant Hilicurl shields, since you can just attack them from behind. And you can stop guardians in their tracks while they are rotating as well, without having to aim for the weak spots. And it makes it easier to keep Fatui skirmishers stunned, preventing them from raising their shields. And CC is always helpful in those "protect the base" stages.

+40% (or +55%) allows you to easily stack up A LOT of crit damage. So, as long as the multipliers are good, you should be able to deal quite a bit of damage. (especially with a Bennet or Venenerer unit in the team)

Depending on how skilled you are and how much the enemies like to move around, freeze comps may potentially beat certain enemies faster than a "higher damage" comp, (since keeping them stunned is so much easier, allowing you to constantly stay on the offensive.)

    2) The main DPS doesn't necessarily have to be the unit doing the most DPS. Or perhaps the main carry is a more fitting name, like JinJinx keeps saying. ^^;

Anyway, the point is, it's possible to use the character that spends the most time on the field as an aura character and set up reactions that your sub-DPS may trigger. Apparently, some of the strongest Childe comps work like this.

Perhaps not the ideal role for Ganyu, since her cryo application is probably not the fastest outside of her burst… And her being ranged reduces her synergy with Xiangling quite a bit. but probably something to look forward to with Ayaka.

    3) "Reverse" multiplicative reactions are not necessarily bad. Diluc vaporize is arguably even better than Diluc melt teams because Xinqiu applies a hydro aura so fast. If we ever get a "pyro Xingqiu", cryo DPS units could become pretty heavy hitters.

    4) Not to mention we have some pretty good main DPS units with elements less useful than cryo. Most notably, Keqing and Ningguang. (And Xiao used to be the most OP unit in the game on CBT, apparently.)

This is not really a defense of Ganyu (I have pretty mixed feelings about her kit…) It's more of a defense of the potential in the cryo-DPS archetype. The biggest issue with cryo DPS right now is not the element itself… It's more that the units we have right now are not very good. But judging units that have yet to come out based solely on their element seems a bit precipitate.

  5. How can you say that C6 noelle is not that necessary?
The DMG bonus she get while she have her Q active is massive.
IF you are really dedicated to have a Noelle as a main dps then yes try to aim for her C6

  6. im honestly pulling for chong and xiangling but if i pulled ganyu i wouldnt be mad as in some cases she may be an ok support character, or just the fact that she uses a bow paired up with her cryo vision would make targeting (from a distance ofc lol) easier for me
