same desc, recap of the Lost Traveler in the Ashen Realm story quest in 5.2 that follows the story of och-kan and ochkanatlan. the random stray all the archons got was pretty funny. f the dragons. rip brother och-kan, coming for the sage. dun dun. lot to talk about for version 5.2 of genshin impact, although not much of it in the archon quest lol. heck the ochkanatlan story quest didnt have a crazy amount in it either, just sorta gave us all sides to a story that led to some people being bad guys now. still was cool seeing the back of the sage though. shame we couldnt complete the quest. capitano showing up always nice, his little lore drop confirming ronova decides who dies was interesting. anyway talking about the Wings of Fate’s Course Intertwined glider that was a nuke of a lore bomb talking about the traveler, dainsleif, khaenriah and even King Irmin. was crazy. mavuika leaked animations and gameplay look cool ig, kinda looks like a tron rider lol

  1. I just realised something.

As we know, celestia has been moving for a while. It's been changing locations, currently being above fontaine.

Fontaine and Snezhnaya as we know due to some documents, ARE close to eachother.

Celestia has those nails floating around it for no reason.. and it's.. approaching towards Snezhnaya. As we (the traveller) continue our journey, celestia slowly is going towards Snezhnaya

What if celestia is gonna drop a few celestine nails on Snezhnaya?

I haven't watched this video yet, i just came here to publish this question/theory.

  2. (Spoilers for a different small quest in Ochkanatlan!!)

So like theres another world quest where we meet a different dragonlord who calls Traveler the chosen of dragons. So like, maybe both Little guy and traveler are chosen, but by different dragons.

  3. Yeah nice try. Dragons are still the victims in the end. Until we get proof that the dragons wanted to pull some shit before the Primordial One came to Teyvat then the Dragons have a pass since Celestia stole their home from them.

  4. TL:DR – Xuicoatl can independently live without a living body, he is made out of purely Energy.

Honestly, the death of Xuicoatl has always felt off to me.
According to the Dragon Sage, his Son should’ve become the next Pyro Sovereign, which suggests that the title of Pyro Sovereign isn’t something a dragon is born into, like the Hydro Sovereign, but rather, a title that can be claimed by fighting against the Pyro Sovereign. Unless … the Dragon Sage doesn’t know how Sovereignty of the Primordial Dragons works. Keep in mind, these Sovereigns aren’t just any Elemental Dragons, they are the Primordial Dragons of Primordial Elements.
The Hydro Sovereign had the Primordial Ocean, while the Pyro Sovereign had Phlogiston. The Primordial source of Fire.
The Hydro Sovereign was refrained from being born, because a God was made from the Primordial Ocean, and it wasn’t until that God died, that a new Sovereign could be born.
This confirms that the Primordial Sovereigns are intimately connected to their respective Primordial Element.

Phlogiston was the Origin of Elemental Energy, creating the Seven Elements that we nowadays can manipulate. This tells us one vital thing about Phlogiston, it was the only Primordial Element that exists as Energy … it’s Primordial Energy!

How is it, that the Flamelord is still able to give his blessings to Suarians? Simple, the Pyro Sovereign never died.
Yes, Xbalanque killed Xuicoatl, but Xuicoatl’s physical form is irrelevant to Xuicoatl’s existence, his physical form is simply there to keep his Energy physically together. The Pyro Sovereign is an entity of Living Energy, this is why the Flamelord Blessings started to appear after Xuicoatl’s death, the Energy that was inside of Xuicoatl’s body was released upon its destruction.

Dragon Sage tells us that Xuicoatl faked his death (I’m assuming this is when Xuicoatl fought against the First Descender), however I currently wonder, if perhaps Xuicoatl did perish, and then recovered, without anyone ever realizing. Considering that there hasn’t been any sign of Xuicoatl ever since Xbalanque killed him, this recovery process takes an extremely long time, 2-3 thousand years apparently. We know that Zhongli is over 6000 years old, and I highly doubt Gods started to appear BEFORE the First Descender. So if the War against Dragons was 6000+ years ago, and Xuicoatl was killed, then he’d definitely have enough time to restore his physical body and rest for a thousand years before Xbalanque would kill him all over again.

As for how this restoration process works, I’m assuming that the Flamelord Blessing has something to do with it, but considering that other Suarians have this Blessing, I’m not too sure how its restoration ability would function?

Another sign that Xuicoatl’s significantly tied to Phlogiston, is the Travelers innate ability to manipulate Phlogiston, something that ONLY Natlan natives are capable of, even in Fontaine, as long as you had a Vision, anyone could breathe underwater, as we see with Ayaka and Yoimiya in the Guns and Roses Event.

So, to shorten my theory. I believe Xuicoatl is a Sovereign whose “Life” isn’t restrained to a body with blood and bones, but is instead solely dependent on Energy. A Physical Body is just simply far more convenient to have, than no Physical Body.

  5. It's interesting that this whole story implies that Xihucoatl was not strong enough to defeat Xbalanque, so he faked his death. I suspect this has something to do with Xbalanque's pact with Ronova (Ruler of Death) granting him power that exceeded that of the Dragon Sovereigns. But if Xihucoatl faked his death, chances are he's still alive, as dragons are said to be immortal beings. And him having died offscreen would be a horrendous waste of implications.
So then, what is Waxaklahun after? As it stands, he seems to seek an heir to Xihucoatl, which would mean he's either dead after all, or Waxaklahun knows where he is, and only keeps him alive so his powers can be transferred to said heir, which further implies that he's no longer able to fulfill his purpose – maybe Xihucoatl also fell under Abyss corruption, or he's simply unworthy in Wxaklahun's eyes. After all, he did refer to the Dragon Sovereign as "decrepit", hinting at a fundamental disagreement in ideals between them.

  6. This quest solidifies the argument that Archons are nothing against the ancient dragons in their Prime

Dragons depend on nothing but their own powers while Archons depend on stolen powers and aid from the Shades

  7. I thought it was obvious and implied that the Traveler was indwelling the Saturnian companion and talking to the Dragon Sage through them 💀 We literally see the Traveler indwell Saurians in quests throughout Natlan, so to say it’s just the companion who’s the Chosen of the Dragons and not the Traveler is pretty wack

  8. i've never been too deep into the lore of this game. and i've played this game for years.
since natlan and especially 5.1 i am gradually becoming more and more invested into the lore.
i even subbed to a few lore channels like this one.

    this quest was great!
