Several Fatui characters have been rumored to be playable in future Genshin Impact patches. The main problem is that these leaks are often vague. More importantly, none of the characters are currently slated for a patch any time soon.
Post-Fontaine release is the soonest likely release time based on the rumor, with that particular leak merely mentioning a female Fatui Harbinger without being specific. Several leaks have hinted at Arlecchino becoming a playable unit in one of the upcoming Fontaine updates. Most players would already know that she is one of the Eleven Fatui Harbinger, and HoYoverse teased her in A Winter Night’s Lazzo video last year on YouTube.
A few reliable leakers, such as HutaoLover77, had claimed that she may have a role in the Fontaine Archon Quest and will likely get a banner.
So The first and most important thing that players would wish to know is whether Arlecchino will be a playable character or not. In the tweet, HutaoLover77 claimed that she is expected to be released in Fontaine, and this guess is based on a certain reason. It was later revealed that the reason was that she was expected to appear in the Fontaine Archon Quest. HutaoLover77 leaked more information about Arlecchino from their alternate account, stating that she has the Pyro vision and her weapon of choice is a Sword. With this much information, it was expected that arlechhino would be playable for sure in one of the fontaine patches, but that has changed now.
There will be some spoilers, so if you don’t want to get spoiled, you should stop watching this video.
Arlechhino will not be playable in fontaine. She might now even be playable at all. And the reason is, because she will die in fontaine. According to the latest information, arlechhino will appear in fontaine storyline, but she will die at the end of the story. And if this is true, she would not be playable in the future, just like la signora. However arlechhino, sadrone and tartaglia will appear in the main storyline of fontaine. Maybe even more fatui harbingers will appear.
So at this point, only one fatui harbinger remains that should become playable in fontaine and tha is Sandrone. Sandrone, also known by her codename Marionette is the Seventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. She made her first appearance during Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night’s Lazzo alongside her fellow Harbingers.
So this might be bad news for players who really wanted arlechhino to be playable in fontaine. But also good news for players who wanted Sandrone to be playable. What are your thoughts about this? Let me know in the comments.

  1. okay, if they kill Arlecchino – i can delete this shit. They killed Dehya, they don't care about players. And fontaine will be the most disgusting from the point of view of the characters

  9. I'd still take leaks related to such a far off patch with a massive grain of salt, but I wouldn't be too surprised if this is true. Arlecchino feels like she's being built as the same sort of character as, say, Granny Goodness from DC Comics. In the sense of being a matron who talks a bit about sheltering kids and protecting them from bad things, but in actuality is extremely cruel and abusive to the children she's in charge of and only perceives them as assets for herself. I feel like she's being built up to be one of the unrepentedly evil Harbingers.

    As for Sandrone, speaking honestly this is fortuitous if this leak ends up being true, as I felt that despite having the least presence and dialogue of any Harbinger in the Interlude video last year, she was the most interesting in terms of her visual design. I hope she'll be a Geo Catalyst, because while Ningguang definitely has her merits with that weapon and element combo, I'd prefer the higher stats of a 5 star character with the same weapon and element.
