Alright, let’s talk about another Chronicled Wish, coming in five.4. It’s earlier than many of us expected, and the details we’ve got so far make it both thrilling and a bit confusing. If you’re wondering which characters could show up, how this ties into Inazuma, and what it all means for the new character in 5.4, stick around because we’ve got a lot to unpack.

  1. If I have a garunteed 50/50 from normal limited banner does it go over to the chronicled wish? The only reason I’ve been getting Kokomi’s mats is because I have a garunteed 50/50 and I don’t want all of that to go to waste 🙁

  2. I don't think chronicled wish banner is bad at all, If you lose a 50-50, you can get a limited 5 star instead of standard 5 stars.
and Chronicled wish banner is not unpredictable at all, just think about it, Shenhe only had 2 banners till now, It doesn't make sense to wait for her re run and then do a Liyue themed chronicled wish banner. It's just small exception they had to make.

If you add triple banner like some other games as you said, how will the pity count ? will all 3 banners share the pity ? I think It's better that this way we have a separate pity system for chronicled wish banner, maybe the only sad thing about it is that the 50-50 lose doesn't carry on which is kinda sad, but it's still better than triple banner in my opinion.

  3. Not just Hsr but also Hi3 which would rerun a new character as early as literally the next version with mutiple other reruns per patch. Maybe Genshin should take notes to reduce fomo.

  4. It seems chronicled banner is meant to fix things on paper, while still allowing the problem to persist so it makes Hoyo money. It feels like the Shenhe thing was on purpose, to show people that if you skip a character it could be literal years before they come back. Unlike triple banner, the chronicled banner is very inconsistent. If we simply had more banners, it would give people peace of mind knowing their character will only take a few months for a rerun anyways. But with the chronicled banner, they can act like they're re-running all these 5 stars but doing it in the most inconsistent way possible so people still have FOMO about missing a banner.

  5. I think if Chronicled wish banners were just treated like a "third" banner that appears in phase 2 of every patch, cycling through regions, it would work perfectly tbh. It would mitigate the issue of characters not getting frequent enough reruns, plus it could eventually become more diverse than just dedicated to a certain region. They could have a Cryo chronicled wish or a Fatui chronicled wish. (Still on the copium that every Harbinger will eventually be playable… please hoyo I need Capitano T ^T)

  6. Am I the only person who thinks they should have done a 42 day banner for mavuika and citlali? They did this in zzz, and it would be nice in this current patch, since there's two new 5* and only 21 days

  7. This is annoyin ,what they should do is put choice banner of all previous 5*, or a least make chronice permanent and make it change monthly ,also make it 100% and not 45/55

  8. I would absolutely love this, ive been wanting Yae for ages now lmfao I started in September last year and been eanting her since the inazuma story so if she does appear imma be so happy especially since none of the chars in the 5.3 chronicled wish interest me so im saving alot now

  9. The reason why they chose a chronicled wish banner is because adding new characters will eventually force Genshin to add more and more limited banners to fit the span of a year to rerun the character. If each limited time banner lasts 3 weeks, then one year can only showcase so many characters before running out of time slots before the new year starts. Adding another limited time banner each cycle is only a temporary solution before needing them to add another set of limited time banners. The chronicled banner is in a way, their solution to that problem of more and more characters taking a while to have any resemblance of rerun. Now, ofc, you can still choose to add more banners instead, but maybe they’re concerned about the clunkiness of the UI. I can see ways to work around it, but from a simplistic standpoint, the UI for the chronicled wish is probably way simpler.
