Hoyoverse might be cooking something big for Genshin Impact, and it seems they’re finally paying attention to players feedbacks. Recently, there was news in the Genshin community that Hoyoverse was searching for creators to develop permanent in-game content, and this advertisement banner confirms that claim. According to this advertisement, they’re seeking people familiar with games like Minecraft and Roblox, especially those with experience in creating content within those games.

This was a clear indication that they had plans for Genshin end-game content. And yesterday, we received news that we might get another version of the Spiral Abyss in version 4.7. According to leaks from Fy and Chalice, Hoyoverse is working on a new type of Abyss. They mentioned that this Abyss will be different from the current Spiral Abyss, featuring spin mechanics that is new to genshin impact and hasn’t been used before.

They also said that some players are going to love this new end-game content, while others are going to hate it. This might be an indication of the difficulty level of this new abyss. And yes, it will give you primogems as well, so don’t worry about that, but the exact number of primogems are unknown at the moment.

Some rumors suggest that the new Abyss will be character-region-specific, giving different buffs and debuffs based on the region of the characters you are using, But none of these rumors are reliable, so take them with a grain of salt.

There could be many reasons why they might be doing this, but the one reason I can think of is the release of Wuthering Waves and Azur Promilia. I participated in the recent closed beta test of Wuthering Waves, and I totally loved the combat system. The boss enemies are extremely difficult to beat; they can literally one-shot you, which they did to me several times. And it’s not just the combat; Wuthering Waves has quickly gathered players’ attention in a short period of time due to the improvements they made and the way they listened to our feedback.

So Hoyoverse might have realized this, and they’re now trying to bring some changes. Because genshin Impact desperately needs new end-game content, as the potential of the combat system in the game is completely lost once we max our characters. On contrary to genshin, Honkai Star Rail has done an amazing job with its end-game content, constantly adding new stuff every few versions.

But they have finally started doing it for Genshin, and this could be seen in the way they’re continuously adding new quality-of-life features to Genshin Impact. In version 4.6, we will get a new version of the treasure compass. After the 4.6 update, when you use the treasure compass, a chest icon will appear on the mini-map, and we will automatically start tracking it. This is only one of the changes, we also getting some map navigation, teapot settings, quest navigation changes.

  1. It's kind of ridiculous. Taking feedback? Sure, but Hoyo makes TOO MUCH MONEY to have not hired some talent/experts for endgame creation. Why are they relying on PLAYERS to be Mario Maker???

  2. Genshin has way too big of a playerbase and large portion of it is casual players. Exciting and hard combat experiences like Wuwa will not work for Genshin. 99% of Genshin players are too casual that they don’t even wanna comment online.
    Hoyoverse has a long experience understanding their playerbase, and they KNOW what they are doing: they know their players live for story, characters and fan arts, gameplay is just an add-up. That’s why they made so many anime games with totally different playstyles.
    If you read their company description, Hoyo is a IP company, not a game company. They tend to profit by promoting fictional IPs with the form of games, anime and images. And that’s why you see connections such as Raiden Mei, Raiden Shogun and Archeron, because she is like an actress built by Hoyo, players are audiences watching her different shows.
    If you try to see Hoyo not as a gaming company, then some of the confusion might resolve for you.

  3. they really need to step up.. im a casual player took time to complete stuff but i still i found myself with nothing to do in the game.. im at the point where i just do dailies and wait till abyss reset which takes waay too long.. if only we get game modes like sim universe that resets weekly..

  4. what happened to 'no abyss type endgame because it causes anxiety' ? why are they making abyss endgame then ? what massive power forced them to make abyss type endgame ? shouldn't they make teapot or tcg updates because isnt that what the casuals like ??? why are they focusing on the minority who like combat ??? wouldn't the casuals get anxiety and become mad if they add harder endgame 🤔🤔 i thought genshin kids didnt like difficult content

  5. The question is, will it be separate from the current abyss or not. I mean do ppl have to complete floor 12 to finish it or is it the same way pure fiction and MOC is in hsr. Bcs if its just floor 13 with a twist there will be ppl who would not be able to even try it bcs they get demolished by the absurdity of floor 12. I really do hope its a seoarate thing like we have the syral abyss and the twisted abyss or something.

  6. I really loved the game assassin's creed odyssey as it was an open world game and had its challenges. Genshin's open world on the other hand is easy from day one if you are smart about your artifacts and choice of weapons.

  7. Ask yourself why now ? Additionally the devs themself clearly stated “abyss induce anxiety for our players therefore no plans for it.
    I gonna be real I am feeling more pessimistic than ever, when dealing with hoyo. As Money is all they care about. Greed you can say.
