We haven’t seen the Chronicled Wish banner after version 4.5, and I’m wondering why. Was it a one-time thing, or did Hoyoverse just forget about it?

The reason I’m saying this is because there are plenty of characters who haven’t gotten their reruns in Fontaine so far. We are just one patch away from going to Natlan, so if they don’t get their reruns in 4.8, this would be the first time a character might not appear in any regional cycle.

There are four characters who haven’t appeared in any of the banners in Fontaine, and they are Shenhe, Nilou, Ganyu, and Kokomi. I don’t know why, but I think Hoyoverse has a personal problem with Shenhe. She was released in version 2.4 back in 2022 and has gotten a rerun only once in the second phase of 3.5, back in 2023. So it’s been 11 patches since her last banner, and there’s still no sign of her.

The Chronicled Wish in version 4.5 featured six 5-star characters and several 5-star weapons, like Eula, Albedo, Song of Broken Pines, etc. Based on 4.5, we thought that this new banner would appear only in filler patches, because 4.5 was a filler patch. So the next Chronicled Wish banner was expected to appear in 4.7, but Hoyoverse has already confirmed the banners for 4.7 during the recent special program, and there was no mention of it during the livestream.

So if this new banner doesn’t appear in version 4.8, then the next Chronicled Wish will most likely appear in version 5.3 or 5.5, which is too far in the future. So 4.8 is like a deadline where Hoyoverse could rerun some old characters without putting them in the limited event wishes. Today we are going to discuss the characters who might appear in the next Chronicled Wish in 4.8.

Before we start, let’s look at the rules of this newly added banner. Based on the rules of the Chronicled Wish, only limited characters who have had at least three banners and have not been featured on any recent Event Wish are eligible to appear on the Chronicled Wish. However, it’s still unclear how much time exactly we are talking about here.

Additionally, the new banner in 4.5 had a Mondstadt logo, so it might be a region-based banner. Therefore, it is likely that the next Chronicled Wish might feature characters from Liyue. It’s also unclear whether archons can appear on this new banner or not, but if they can, then Zhongli has a decent chance to appear.

As I said, Hoyoverse has already confirmed that only those characters who have had at least three banners in the past can be featured on this banner—not three reruns, but three banners. Starting with the Liyue characters. As I said, despite being released in version 2.4, Shenhe has only had two banners so far, therefore she will not appear on the next Chronicled Wish. So the 4.8 Chronicled Wish would probably feature Ganyu, Childe, Yelan, Keqing, and Qiqi, along with their signature weapons like Amos’ Bow, Aqua Simulacra, Jade Cutter, etc.

Inazuma doesn’t have any standard banner characters, so I don’t know how they’re planning to handle that. But I’m guessing they’ll rotate the standard characters from other regions, or maybe they will put more and more limited characters on the Chronicled Wish as time passes by. And don’t forget that all of the Inazuman characters have received more than three banners at this point, so yes, Hoyoverse can always do that since it’s not mentioned anywhere in the rules that they can’t or they won’t.

That leaves us with three characters: Shenhe, Kokomi, and Nilou, and my guess is they will be on the limited event wish banners, but again, it’s not confirmed yet.

Well, these are just my speculations and I might be wrong, so let me know what you think. The next Chronicled Wish after 4.7 will most probably feature Sumeru characters.   1. im really going insane if they don’t put Ganyu in 4.8 I have 603+ pulls saved up as of rn and it’s gonna be around 700 at 4.7 end just PLS let me C6 her already it’s been so long and I can’t imagine that hoyo wont give players a chance to atleast get a certain character once per region like wth…?

  6. I really hope Zhongli doesn't rerun in the Chronicled Wish, because I really want him and there's a good chance he appears in 5.0 as he always appears in the .0 versions. If he appears in the CW he will be harder to get and won't rerun alone in a long time

  22. I wish the chronicled wish would include better characters… Venti and Fischl were not on the last one and I feel like they should've been. This makes me think the liyue characters will all be ones most people dont want.

  26. I bet its because everyone kept saying "The chronicled banner is scam don't pull!" And now when genshin don't put it in 4.7 everyone keep saying "where is chronicled wish? i need it!" So like what do you all want from genshin?🤷‍♂️

  27. "Have they forgotten about it?" dude it was on 4.5 and we're on 4.6, theres like 2 patches (4.7 doesn't have it) without chronicle, doesnt meant it won't happen again, matter fact i wouldn't be surprised if it was on 4.8

  41. But if I'm not mistaken Eula also had only just one rerun and she appeared in chronicled wish banner so there's a possibility that Shenhe will also appear in chronicled wish banner

  42. Dude starts with talkign about how they were wrong about all their previous conjectures and then says "probably" like 14 times and "good chance" another 10 and "my guess" another 10 times. This video serves no purpose and offers no actual information.

  43. I'd called it out a while back that it was likely a one time thing. Sales were awful for investors. The characters they picked were intentional as they'd have the least impact for an account, same to weapons.. IF they released another with aqua or homa etc they'd be shooting themselves in the foot. On a limited banner the rates are in the casino's favor, on chronicled it benefits players. Causing irreversible bleeding for them to push toward end game. The demand for players to simply wait for chronicled over limited banners. People that pulled were upset when they didn't have enough pulls to get the character they wanted as pity and pulls wouldn't carry over. It was an overall bad for hoyo so to bring them out again is something their nervous over.
