  1. An adeptus is a non-human creature that has (usually) signed a contract with Rex Lapis/Morax to protect Liyue. Ganyu is a half adeptus. And not all characters are immortal or old… Keqing, Diluc and Jean for example are all mortal. The person talking is Dainsleif, you can see him in the end of the Travail Teyvat Chapter teaser and many Archon Quest interlude chapters.
Rex Lapis/Morax is the God of Geo and Contracts and is Liyue's Geo Archon.

  2. Artifacts are things you equip that raise stats, which makes your character stronger in general. Talents are like training your attacks, which makes you hit harder. Leveling and ascending your character to level 60 triggers the passives mentioned in these videos. A bit simplified, but that's the essence.

  3. Energy is what you need to cast your elemental burst. For example Amber needs 40 energy to cast her burst. You normally get energy through elemental particles usually when your skill hits an enemy or an enemy dies, and characters with the same element as the particle get more energy. For example Kaeya's elemental skill generates between 2-3 particles when it hits an enemy, and since the particles are the same element as Kaeya he gets 3x energy from them, while characters of other elements would get only 1x energy.

This is one of the reasons you would want at least 2 of the same element characters in your team, since they generate more energy for each other. Another way is to have a character that acts as a "battery", For example Raiden Shogun's burst restores 2.5 energy per hit to all team members, or Venti's burst will restore 15 energy to him and if his burst absorbs another element, characters of that element also restore 15 energy.

  4. Aiming with Ganyu is easy, you can even shoot the ground and she will deal aoe dmg to enemies even in the air. And her dmg on them is truly incredible. And her burst have cooldown equal to its duration meaning you cab always have it on field.

  5. I love using Childe! While he's definitely not for beginners, he's very awesome to use. He's especially good at taking out groups of enemies together. It's extremely satisfying

  6. The narrator is a character named Dainsleif. He’s not currently playable, but Hoyoverse confirmed way back in 2020 that he will eventually be in the future. Likely in a few more years. He is a very important character that you will meet later on, so pay attention to whatever he says.

  7. About Childe, since answering your question in top comment, he is my favourite character
His skill can punish you if not done correctly because of its cooldown, but it's actually pretty easy to master once you start learning how to play him. About his burst, basically his range burst is for more comfortable rotation because you get some energy back (so you can use it again sooner) but it deals less damage than his melee burst. Melee burst is for big damage.

Second favourite is Zhongli – yes, he is a support character. One of the best supports in the game, actually, and the best shielder in the whole game. He gets more HP thanks to artifacts, they can give not only attack and other things for bigger damage, but also stats for supports like HP. And his burst animation is still one of my favourites.

There is no shame in liking or disliking a character, it's subjective after all. Diluc is pretty cool and believe me, when the game first started, everyone was crazy about him and everyone wanted him. We now have 60 characters but I still think he is pretty cool, even though claymores aren't really my type of weapon. But I respect anyone who likes him or other characters I am not a fan of.

  8. Mona: Summons a thing that deals aoe damage, taunts, and eventually explodes
Zoro King: It seems very strong
Ganyu: Summons a thing that deals aoe damage, taunts and eventually explodes
Zoro King: Doesn't seem like the strongest ability

In all honesty though, good video, looking towards your reaction to further characters

  9. 1:03:18 That "big bird" is an adeptus, like really, Genshin is fantasy-like game with gods and elemental powers… and you get surprised by a beeg bird XD
And no, the adepti are not simple "mystical animals", try to call Xiao a big bird then… if you dare XD

  10. Passive Talents are talents you get after leveling up a character to level 40 and level 70. You can't level up passive talents but you can level up Talents like Normal Attacks, Elemental Skill and Bursts.

Artifacts are something which increase the overall stats of a character whereas talents are something which increase the base dmg of each talent individually.

Energy is the particles which fly towards your character when you hit someone with an elemental skill. They fill up the bar for the elemental burst.

  11. 7:59 Those were geo shield hilichurls, so pyro damage doesn’t break them.
14:00 Energy refers to burst charge
50:08 Artifacts and stat bonuses from upgrading talents
53:38 These talents only apply to where they say are applied to.
1:00:00 You do know there is a reticule when your charging, or are you expecting it to always fly straight for longer distances.
