  1. In act 3, i was actually considering the fact that citlali is the firefly of genshin. I mean we went on a date (like firefly). Her design is cute (like firefly). She's my favorite character (like firefly). and we've never seen her and capitano at the same time (like firefly and sam). Even the scene where we and ororon and capitano were talking and citlali was approaching, capitano disappeared. You understand where im coming from, right? But well a bit later i was proven wrong. It would've been funny if that was the case

  2. Still didn't realize that the heavenly principles are by definition NOT the natural order of Teyvat? The primordial one is an alien to Teyvat and the entity known as the Heavenly Principles is a descender. By definition, they impose an artificial order.

  3. So, some interesting inspirations/etymology details:

    1. "The Captain": We tracked down three scholars β€” Aberewaa, Bosomtwe, and Cuxtal, and combined the results of their research to locate this ancient device.

    – Asase Ya/Afua (or Asase Yaa, Asaase Yaa, Asaase Afua, Asaase Efua) is the Akan goddess of fertility, love, procreation, peace, truth and the dry and lush earth in Ghana and Ivory Coast. She is also Mother of the Dead known as Mother Earth or Aberewaa.

    – Bosomtwe: Associated with Lake Bosomtwe, this deity is revered and is believed to have a connection with the souls of the dead.

    – Ah Cuxtal is the Mayan god of birth, and is responsible for the safe delivery of the baby when born. Ah Cuxtal translates to "Come to life".

    2. Gosoythoth (from the Abyss Tumor's name "Mark of Gosoythoth) is anagarm of Yog Sothoth:

The cosmic entity Yog-Sothoth was first mentioned in The Case of Charles Dexter Ward (written 1927, first published 1941). The being is said to take the form of a conglomeration of glowing spheres. It is an all-knowing deity, which means it knows the past, present, and future, and its nature is different from any other class of Cthulhu Mythos deities. Yog-Sothoth is coterminous with all time and space, yet is supposedly locked outside of the universe we inhabit.

Yog-Sothoth sees all and knows all. To "please" this deity could bring knowledge of many things. However, like most beings in the mythos, to see it or learn too much about it is to court disaster. Some authors state that the favor of the god requires a human sacrifice or eternal servitude.

Kenneth Grant suggested Lovecraft's description of Yog-Sothoth as a conglomeration of "malignant globes" may have been inspired by the qlippoth.

Now the interesting part i found:

According to the genealogy H. P. Lovecraft devised for his characters (later published as "Letter 617" in Selected Letters), Yog-Sothoth is the offspring of the Nameless Mists, which were born of the deity Azathoth.

Azathoth is a deity in the Cthulhu Mythos and Dream Cycle stories of writer H. P. Lovecraft and other authors. He is the supreme deity of the Cthulhu Mythos and the ruler of the Outer Gods, and may also be seen as a symbol for primordial chaos, therefore being the most powerful entity in the entirety of the Cthulhu Mythos.

Azathoth is referred to as the "daemon-sultan" and "Lord of All Things", whose throne is at the center of "Ultimate Chaos".

The first recorded mention of the name Azathoth was in a note Lovecraft wrote to himself in 1919 that read simply, "AZATHOTHβ€”hideous name". Mythos editor Robert M. Price argues that Lovecraft could have combined the biblical names Anathoth (Jeremiah's home town) and Azazelβ€”mentioned by Lovecraft in "The Dunwich Horror". Price also points to the alchemical term "Azoth", which was used in the title of a book by Arthur Edward Waite, the model for the wizard Ephraim Waite in Lovecraft's "The Thing on the Doorstep".

And in genshin, we have the dust of Azoth, which i wonder could be connected to it then?

    3. Yohualtecuhtin is an actual name for the Lords of the Night in Mesoamerican mythology. Though, interestingly, there are 9 Lords of the Night, those being;

    – Xiuhtecuhtli ("Turquoise Lord/Lord of Fire")

    – Tezcatlipoca ("Smoking Mirror")

    – Piltzintecuhtli ("Noble Lord")

    – Centeotl ("Maize God")

    – Mictlantecuhtli ("Underworld Lord")

    – Chalchiuhtlicue ("Jade Is Her Skirt")

    – Tlazolteotl ("Filth God[dess]")

    – Tepeyollotl ("Heart of the Mountains")

    – Tlaloc ("Rain")

In Aztec religion, Xiuhcōātl was a mythological serpent, regarded as the spirit form of Xiuhtecuhtli

Xiuhcoatl being the Pyro Sovereign really makes me wonder what potential connections there could be in Genshin, if any

  7. What if 3 moon sisters are literally moons of a planet and teyvat is one of them? ( the only one left, others exploded ) and the real planet is the origin of abyss and the only way the primordial one found to ''protect'' the moon from destruction and protect the life that was left was to put a fake blanket into the world preventing his people to have contact with the corruption to maybe one day find a solution ( or someone) to win against the abyss?
