Natlan Will Be The Weirdest Nation Yet… | Genshin Impact Speculation

Natlan is set to be an enormous nation, and when it comes to its geographical and cultural inspirations, no other nation even comes close.

Let’s delve into the background mythology and lore of Natlan and its god, Mavuika. We’ll also explore the potential directions the upcoming Archon Quests involving the Primal Fire and the Six Tribes might take.

Time to Forge Fate with Blood, and not with Eyes.

  1. I just realized I forgot to include Australia as an additional source of inspiration behind Natlan's culture…
Eh, Australia isn't real anyway; it's a conspiracy theory.

  2. Speaking of dreams, names and wishes, I want to point out the Pyro Gem's description:
    "A pilgrimage for a wish; a battle to earn a name…
Burnt to cinders for a dream.
If the intention yet remains, achieved ▉▉'s truth he has."

Currently, we know Xbalanque is entombed with the Primal Fire, and for one to be entombed, something would have happened to result in such a state. I think there may be a link between whatever is going on with Xbalanque and the yearly tournament Mavuika hosts.

  3. Do you think the usual wars between the tribes got substituted with yearly tournaments that are friendly competitions? Both can fuel the Primal Flame cause at basic level they generate the same thing – strife and competition, the difference being that tournaments are less lethal.
This could explain why Natlan looks nothing like what you'd expect from it's title as the Nation of War. Now the question is WHY do these tournaments need to be held on a yearly basis and why does the Primal Flame require it – is it to keep it burning bright (adding fuel to the fire) or is to resurrect someone – after all, resurrection will play a part in Natlan's Archon Quest (IF they don't change the chapter title like they did with Sumeru)

  4. Furina is an expy of someone? I saw peopole saying that she was an outlier. She didn't look like anyone nor have the same backstory as someone from HI3. Eh, but what do I know. I didn't get far into HI3 before I left

  5. just wanted to adress this
at 1:28, some of those are wrong. zhongli ISNT an expy of welt. thats like saying kafka is an expy of yelan just because their both mommies with strings…. also, raiden and dr mei? really? instead of the mei thats in hi3s main story? please tell me your joking… that all.

  6. During the small leaks about Fontaine people thought Focalors was a Seele expy, then further leaks happened showing "two" archons which in their minds linked it more. It never turned out that way obviously but its still interesting.

  7. Caribert looks like the figure etched on the stones around the 10:40 mark…may not be at all but it was a thought connected to the dragons and spirit idea – very intriguing if there is a connection!

You always astound me with your speculations and phenomenal presentations, amazing work

  9. 17:08 This is really interesting, the way even the oceanids (elemental beings) are not immune to the primo sea that their body would dissolve instantly when in contact with it again. That's why true human blood would "free" them from the flood curse.

And, I may notice something. I could take that you place Nuvilet to be the one who grant Fontanians to have human blood BUT, I might even say that the 'wish' itself, purely, could grant blood (or form). Because you know, "Be careful what you wish for." (Sumerians wished to eradicate marana/eleazar, Fontanians wished to be humans, Traveler and co. wished Durin's body to be more bearable for everyone)

I think the shackle/curses, say what happened to the people from /other gods' domains/ in Khaenri'ah, really tied to the place-blood-time.

Yep, the curse happened because of the relationship between place-blood-time (choosing the right time, the right place the right people, whoever control these three, control everything 🤔) Like, does Khaenri'ahn blood rly give them the benefit? Or is it because they were born there? Because we had examples of the curse of wilderness happened even outside of Khaenri'ah incident (Ukko) (whatever happened in Perinheri, which was in Khaenri'ah but maybe something rly needs to be uncovered more about betraying the gods)

If we take what Kaeya said about Dain's eyes, that he's a pure blooded. How do we explain what happened with the Black Serpent Knights at the moment of the curse? (For losing their wits also, was it bc Halfdan and others secretly not pure blooded?) Like, it seems like there are even some degrees of different curses between pure blooded Khaenri'ahns. Even Dainsleif himself still get cursed despite being a pure blooded. 🤔

In short, I think blood for immunity (or transforming) is completely situational. Or at least still tied with the space and time. (Actually just like what you said about Nuvilet)

And the fact that arkhium is unique to Fontaine, Eleazar is a disease unique to Sumeru, Natlan people can't easily go outside of Natlan. I think there rly is a relationship between the man and the land. And if there's an imbalance, you'll get the thing that you don't like (the curse).

  10. Man I don't know if it's a coincidence, but it really looked like you upped your production game with this one, your editing and scripts are always really fun so I'm not sure but it definitely feels better this time, and if you really did put in more work, while knowing this video might not get the standard amount of views I'll have to say, mad respect for the work

  11. Question: Do you think we will see Venessa’s people in Natlan, the children of Murata?

Also side note: Did you notice the majority of characters shown so far in Natlan are animal type people or people with elf ears?
