  1. Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed this rock composition I made for Natlan’s battle theme! I have seen a couple of requests for Natlan’s battle theme in my extended Natlan theme video, so here it is!

    To be honest I haven’t played guitar for so long and the guitars in this theme are indeed a recording of my own playing so I apologise if some parts might sound messy! The reason why I’ve been playing guitar again lately was because of the recent music I have been listening to. I have been listening to a lot of Aimer and ASCA (Japanese artists who are frequently featured in an anime OP or ED) and I thought.. composing a rock track might be really fun so I experimented on Natlan’s battle theme and I think it will also suit the overall atmosphere of the nation. It is a nation where the pyro archon is and somehow I always affiliate fire with either rock or metal genre hahah (I hope it’s not just me!)

    So in terms of composition, it is rather simple but I had a lot of fun creating this one, mainly because I spent some time recording the guitar as well as finding the right tone by trying out different amp simulators which was a lot of fun! Like I said, this composition is rather simple and started off with Photon of Fluctuation motif in the start (which I think is in every battle theme ever in Genshin, at least there is one from each region.) And right around the 0:58 minute mark, you can hear the Natlan motif played by the string Spiccatos. So my general idea for this theme is pretty straight forward, “must include Photon of Fluctuation motif as well as Natlan’s motif”. And the other sections are pretty much freedom in composition and I used it to support the original motifs by adding intense atmosphere to it since it is a battle theme after all.

    That’s pretty much it in terms of composition! I did spent time a lot finding the right tone for the guitars as well as the kick and snare drums. I hope you enjoyed this rather “refreshing” composition from me and as always, have an absolutely good day everyone! Take care!

  9. What kinda freaks me out is that we know almost nothing about Natlan.

    A year ago, just before Sumeru release, we knew that Fontaine has a new archon, there's some huge problem involving the Lochfolk, we met Xavier and a couple other Fontaine NPCs, knew about the Steambird and vaguely knew it's gonna have some Anglo-French steampunkish Victorian vibe.

    Now, compared to that, we're just before Fontaine release, we didn't meet a single Natlan NPC, have no idea what it's vibe gonna be, all we know is that it's a land of Pyro, has a vaguely Latin vibe to its music in the Travail trailer and that it's a land of redheaded people with tanned skin (correct me if I'm wrong, Vanessa was from Natlan, right?)

    Also, can i request a newer version of dain's or capitano theme?
    Few weeks ago, the og dain theme completed a year
    And i think that theme kinda looks good if played with different forms or instrument
    We also got more dain's content, so it can count to!

  28. I can totally see this as some sort of boss theme on its own! Maybe if we had a trial against the pyro archon themselves? For a battle theme this gives me similar vibes to what Wildfire did in HSR!
