The fact that we waited for Yaoyao ever since before the first Lantern Rite is just as surreal as Scaramouche becoming playable 2 years later.
I said this before but never in my wildest dreams would I have expected Blaze to get into Genshin. But I'm very glad it happened.

1:15:00 This is one of the core conflicts within Genshin's playerbase; while some players like you and me enjoy seeing all of these character interactions and don't mind the lack of combat, these moments are indeed fan service and a part of what makes us love the game. Others, however, see all of this as an obstacle to the rest of the game, and want the story to move along faster and have more combat focus. It's hard to please everyone, but what does make me happy is that Genshin is one of the rarer games that does things the way that it does, and that HoYo is determined to make that kind of game, regardless of what some people want it to be.
That's not to say the game is perfect and can't be improved, but I DO appreciate the narrative and character focus of the game. Combat is fun, but ultimately secondary to me. I enjoy all of regular events, combat events, the non-combat ones like the Photo Taking, the minigames, I enjoy all of them. I enjoy being in the world and am happy to engage in a variety of activities within it.

And Hu Tao!!! Kinda funny how the first time we saw her in the story have her rapping ! XD Best first impression!! Love her!!
I like how Zhongli ask us one thing, and we totally forget about it, then 2 hours, the Travelers goes ''oh yeah, Zhongli ask us for that''. Good thing it wasn't urgent XD Also Zhongli meeting the two others adepti was kinda sweet. ^^
The promotional video was AMAZING!! Not only it is visually stunning, but the characters have great interactions, like Qiqi and Klee playing together, Zhongli and Venti drinking!! Make me want to watch it multiple times to see if I miss anyone !!
And the supper, with Hu Tao, Xiao, Zhongli, Venti, Xiangling and the others was cute and funny!! Seeing them interact was cool! Even Paimon got some praise!!
this was my favorite lantern rite so far ~ the second part of it was such a beautiful emotional moment in Liyue history, and the epilogue was comic relief that was well needed ~!
i do wish Venti would have been there for the actual music festival ~ but he might steal the show from hu-tao lollllllllll so its good too that he just~ played for Xiao off screen <3
also i think that after you'll experience more of Xiao story it will hit more how wholesome it is that he finally agree to be in lantern rite~ i love him sm

Also i really like this year lantern rite. And it's my first lantern rite. It's so gooooooddd but the thing is so many people here is upset with the English VA sing . I don't know how to feel because i use japanese Dub, and its incredible like incredible. Hu tao voice in japanese is always in my head. But overall all VA is doing a really good job. Specially Dvorak En is good.

For me personally this is the best lantern rite, all the interractions with other characters is so cute. and the highlight is of course guizhong story, xinyan and hutao performance, and 2 original member of the seven dinner lol

The banquet scene was more hilarious in JP, I was laughing the whole dinner. Special mention when Hu Tao was calling for Xiao, I recommend you watch it promise it won't disappoint. (ENG was still fun too). Especially Hu Tao's JP VA definitely fits Hu Tao's description of being a "lively" person. In ENG she sounds a bit serious and just trying to be lively (I almost felt uncomfortable hearing her like that, but please don't get me wrong 🙏🏻).
But then again, this is all just my personal preference, and you are free to agree or disagree with what I said.

It’s sad that events are temporary cause the journey for Xinyan about being part of Iridescent Tour is missing. She sucked into Inazuma in 2.2 to try to join it on its Inazuma stop just for it to be canceled. In 2.8 she went to Mondstat with Kahuza to try to join again but it was unable to again but at least she joined the island adventure with everyone and we got to learn more about her. So to see her finally performing is just so special to long time players😭

They meet in an event, the event is also placed in inazuma, thats why venti and kazuha was also talking to each other

There's been a running gag over the years every Lantern Rite of Cloud Retainer accusing Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper of ditching her for a "boy's night out" at Lantern Rite. She assumes they want to go act like a couple of drunk idiots while disguised as humans. Knowing that, I also now headcanon that this year they managed to drag Zhongli in as well. I'm also imagining them stumbling around the harbor, acting like idiots.
Dvorak VA's is Marco Meatball, a former opera singer and currently, a youtuber and voice actor. He does amazing music reaction to video games like Genshin, Final Fantasy…
Zhongli and venti's interaction (or should I say, roleplaying) is the highlight of the epilogue imo. They're such clowns, if you read their lore you'll get that those two are besties lmao. They annoy each other but are still respectful it's really funny.

Edit: Maybe you already know this, but I suggest you see the irodori festival playthrough. It was a limited event back then where venti, xingqiu, and kazuha first met. Albedo, klee, ayaka, and ayato was there too. The event will give you so much lore about the history of kazuha's family, if you're interested.
I always love paimon and her type of humor. I don't feel any negative feelings towards her such as hate and annoyance maybe because I am not preoccupied or pressured into hating her.
This quest is indeed a paimon appreciation event. Hoyoverse sure knew that there is a shared hatred towards Paimon in the community.
You need to finish Inazuma and Sumeru Archon quest to understand Paimon behavior at this moment :v
Oh righttt, BLAAZEE!! since I really can't watch you play live in twitch cus idk but in my timezone it's too early in the morning for me and I have to go to school and stuff. I really wanted to watch you in live, anyway it's kinda late but probably will still helpful once you reach in Sumeru;
Once you collect Oculus (or the floaty thingy you offer in the statue of the seven, always mark the location in the map and put some label on it. It will be helpful and save you some time when you're going to max you're statue level in the future, since interactive maps can't really show you the things you already collected in the game.
Trust me this will really help you a lot and not to mention Sumeru has currently 235 dendroculus 💀, it's still not maxed and we're still missing 35 more to max the statue.
Anyway, I really hope I can watch you play live sometime. Maybe on my day offs, I look forward to it!! 🙏🏻
This lantern rite is so wholesome. Just like the previous one, I had a lot of fun doing the quest. For this lantern rite, I can't stop laughing on the last part. Venti and Zhongli was like trying to expose each other while at the same time, pretending to be someone else. It's such a mess that Xiao can't keep up and stressing out. Poor man! hahaha 🤣
Also, as usual loving the reaction and I agree with you. I love this kind of quest. Just characters interacting with each other. I wanted more and hopefully, there'll be more since another event is coming if I'm not mistaken.
i think you will still be able to play the perilous trail quest. its where we meet yelan. it was part of an event but ive seen its a permanent quest in game. you should def do it. they talk more about the yakshas (like xiao he is a yaksha) if it’s not in game you could definitely just watch a video of the quest

i gotta say, u gotta be one of my fave genshin streamers. i love how emotional u get over the stories, like, u rly get immersed in the story that hoyo made and it's rly fun to see the story be appreciated and loved so much. i always love the lantern rite events so much, there's just so much heart and warmth in the event story. even if sommetimes i wonder if newer players would enjoy it as much without some of the context bc some stuff hints at past events.
some of the past events that this year's lantern rite hints to were: labyrinth warriors, summertime odyssey (both events for xinyan trying to be on the iridescent tour), moonchase festival (guoba, xiao, xiangling), irodori festival (venti, xingqiu, kazuha), and past lantern rite events (beidou & ningguang "chess" game)
i think there's stuff that hints at things that happens in story quest and archon quest too (hence that yelan quest prerequisit)
again, i dont think u NEED to have already experienced those events, since it looks like genshin will keep building the relationships btwn characters as they release more patches, so u'll prob get to experience them interacting with eachother even more, but i do think that the cutscene cinematics (like the guizhong one here) from those events are so cool and pretty to watch, as well as add to the worldbuilding of teyvat's history. And if u want to experience the whole thing, i think there are channels that upload the whole event (well just cutscenes and dialogues), so u can always check those out if u want
fun fact: we had a "bartending" event once (where we only made coffee and tea 😑), and zhongli showed up at diluc's tavern to, as venti said order tea 😂
