  2. kunnikuzushi's(scaramouche) backstory is so sad, even though he was a puppet he had the ability to have emotions. hence why raiden discarded him, she feared that he
    will become too emotional. ;0;

  3. It's sad that people hating on Ei
Ei was supposed to "turn off/seal him"
But she thought its was cruel so she seal his powers instead and let him for to live free because she doesn't have any time to take care since she is inside the Domain expansion thingy LOL
I'm still gonna skipping all banners until Dehya rerun
Probably in 3.5 so I have a lot of primogems to pull for her and her 5 star signature weapon because I barely have any claymore only a few 3 stars

  4. Scaramouche is tragic, and he was never given any help on how to process his emotions, but he's still done some twisted, evil things. (IIRC, a Mondstadt fatui said he routinely kills underlings? Or maybe that was Signoria. It's been a while) I don't know what the future brings, but if we fight and kill him, I won't be too sad. Still, if we manage to redeem him somehow, I hope they reunite him with Ei at some point. Even if they don't reconcile, just them saying some words to one another would suffice.

  5. The way he said “my mother” fucking killed me. Not only did he see Ei as his mom but seemed to look up to her and cared about what she thought of him. I need a reconciliation between Scara and Ei NOW 😭😭😭🤧

  6. Ei is tehnically his mom for real. She created him but she was supposed to shut him down but she didn't want to like kill him off so she left him which is now causing problems for Inazuma for centuries and now Sumeru

  7. Personally I don’t like him, he misunderstood Ei, that I can understand, his friend when he was working as a blacksmith betrayed him I can understand, but the little kid? That died because of an illness? And he was getting angry over THAT? Nah, don’t need any of that.

Personally I’ve been looking up leaks, and I’m pretty sure we’re getting Scaramouche as a playable character, but I want him dead in lore, so that people wouldn’t fucking complain about him dying in lore and can’t be playable like Signora, which I can see it be possible, Honkai Impact already killed off so many characters but they’re still playable, prime example? Himeko!

  8. I can't take it seriously
like the Mother thing – valid but a misunderstanding , the friend thing – valid in general
but the kid, literally just died and he got mad? that just seems a bit silly to me.

  9. You know, I actually didn't expect him to be portrayed as a tragic villain and give him some actual character depth. It's kinda obvious that they plan to make him playable, but I have no idea how are they gonna redeem him

  10. When he says, "…my Mother." It is absolutely gut wrenching. You can hear the devastation.
But no one seems to be bringing up the Eng VA's delivery of the line, "I denounce the world and laugh in it's face." It sounds like he's on the brink of tears but instead finishes the line with a hint of a laugh. Convincing himself that this is right path and the world and it's players has only ever mocked his existence (directly and indirectly). He's never been able to process the reason for his existence or the fallout of his emotions.
Honestly, I have never really liked Scara as a character until this backstory reveal in Sumeru. It definitely gives him more complexity than just a "lol, I'm an evil villain with a cool hat, please simp for me" vibe. I'll hand it to Hoyoverse, they do know how to write an antagonist. I mean, just look into Signora lore.

  11. "Scaramouche"
    "My mother"
    "Betrayal"
    "Loneliness"

His backstory for me kinda feels like the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen being referenced. I had my own theory that The Balladeer's lore would be referenced from this song and it seems like it's gradually revealed until it's over. I currently have mixed feelings about him because of this (in between feeling pity from his sad past and angry at the same time because of his actions done). I can also understand him that I think he's still lost in thought and I wanna know the real reason why he joined the Fatui in the first place.

  12. I like how the Akademyia basically enslaved Kusanali because they didn't deem her as good as Rukkhadevata (very ironic, btw), but is fine with granting the god status to one of the most dangerous individuals on Teyvat (getting help from Dottore, who they previously banished…)

  13. I love Scaramouche and Ei’s story. I think it’s heartbreaking how it portrays cycles of trauma. Ei lost her sister who she loved and decided she was unable to rule Inazuma. So, she decides to make a puppet. When she makes a prototype, he cries. Scaramouche crying when he’s first created reminds me of babies crying when they need something. Ei made him too complex, too emotional. He needs her love.

But Ei is still grieving and can’t comprehend why Scaramouche is crying. So she throws him out, thinking he is defective and going on to create a second puppet.

When Scaramouche wakes up, he tries to make friendships. He is someone who needs love from other people, but every time he tries to get it, it ends in failure.

I think the child who died reminded Scaramouche too much of himself. How he has been cast out for eternal sleep. But unlike him, his friend would never wake up.

Maybe he looked for a reason to blame for his friend’s death. An “Ei” of the child’s life who had caused him so much pain and grief that he had died.

Maybe Scaramouche found something he could latch his hate onto. Maybe he didn’t. But none of it really matters anymore. He’s grown up. He’s ready to become a god. It was the purpose he was created for before being so cruelly cast out. Scaramouche doesn’t care if he hurts people under him. All he wants now is for his birthright to return.

  14. im actually suprise you noticed the way kuni's clothing is like makoto's, perhaps Ei thought about Makoto while she is creating him and which is more sadder that both of them are misunderstood😞
