  2. They make increased difficulty should be optional in the settings like the energy amplifier event and make the characters stronger
the streamers people who want a challenge can use it and it wont scare away the more casual players.
Also since every game dev seems to think bullet sponges are good difficulty here are some difficulty options:

    no iframes,
enemys have less downtime between attacks,
    enemy attack spd increase,
2/3/4 or 5 enemies can attack at once,
    enemies get staggered/interrupted less easily

  3. Why don’t they give us more World Levels? You know it’s just a calculation. I want to be terrified of the 4 ruin guards in the stone forest again. I remember when I had to cheese those bastards by swimming to avoid the missiles. Just add 4 world levels. You get nothing from it but you can go up or down and set the difficulty where you want it. I would even find a use for food again!!!! Jesus. Such an easy fix for me.

  4. Can confirm Qiqi is two cons ahead of any other 5* on my account, it's a sad situation… I'm not a huge Diluc fan either but at least c4/6 are fun and badass (Haven't tried wrapping my head around the interactions with ICD's, field-time and CW stacks though), and I like whipping him out occasionally just to vary my gameplay… After which I switch back to Xiangling cause my standards are forever ruined by broken characters, my Xiangling with just Bennett and Kazuha makes a full Diluc team look slow in many cases, R5 Catch vs. R5 Serpent Spine. And Xiangling is also among the chars I immediately think of when it comes to power-creep, Diluc technically didn't even get power-crept.

  5. I'm guessing they're trying to correct their big mistake – starting the game with a cast of very good, very flexible units. The best way to sell new units (aka new gacha banners) is to add game mechanics solved by their niche. That's exactly what's happening in Honkai right now. Oh we favour Bio x Ice, please pull new Bronya. This round is all for physical x imaginary. Pull horse Durandal or get left behind. But when you have a F2P friendly National team that EVERYONE can get that clears all the content, you killed your golden goose.

  6. Maybe they´re preparing for Dendro. If you release more and more powerful units, then when Dendro comes out it will seem like a very underwhelming element (unless you release absolutely broken characters).
Another thing, which is a more probable reason, is the lack of balance changes to the characters. Gacha games rarely balance characters, so they probably want to release strong but not broken units. If Sayu was stronger than Bennett, then the potential to sell units in the future will decrease, becasue Sayu exists and you wouldn´t need anything but Sayu.

  7. I think they finally started to play there game and were shocked to see how stupid some of this characters like look at bennet xinqui pretty much the actual gods of the game man like eveyrtime i see new five star i just instant compare them to this fools sad we live in such times

  8. i think mihoyo just shifts the meta around the characters instead the opposite. 7-8 months ago if i knew what the new that are being released know were i would've thought "they are so weak" but now i don't think yoimiya kokomi and any of them are that weak. with more monsters flying around and dealing a lot of damage yoi and kokomi i find far more useful then hu tao and mona. and also the shift from vape and melt to EC and atk speed mono element combos also contibutes

  9. also i rhink they can just make whoever they want good and or bad. example venti was extremely good and now not so much, also i find myself using zhongli less and less. i'm sure with the release of sumero raiden will suffer some consequences too, maybe characters will have 30-50 energy bursts and won't need a battery who knows

  10. I wouldn't say that Itto is significantly weaker than Xiao. All his Xiao's new set really accomplishes is showing that Mihoyo's never giving him a game-changing 4-pc, only a new technical BiS. I'd say they're on the same level. I think Mihoyo is just avoiding powercreep and sometimes undershooting it incidentally. I'm glad they haven't resorted to powercreep to sell new busted waifus, tbh. It's not necessary for them to make harder content, anyways.

Anyway, I mainly commented bc I thought it was funny that you put Klee in the thumbnail of a video about reverse powercreep. Maybe it is real since even the god of electro can't compare to the destructive capabilities of Mondstadt's resident pyromaniac child.

  11. raiden is as strong (if not stronger) as xiao, but putting that aside, mihoyo stated before 2.0 that no inazuma character would be stronger then the liyue top 3 (plus eula), but that doesn't mean the characters from other regions won't be, for exemple: natlan is the land of pyro archon and god of war murata, so it is easy to think that the dps characters that get realease there, will powercreep every other dps in the game (at least the pyro ones)

  12. i wish i can call it powercreeping or reverse powercreeping, but the matter of fact is they just put flaws in these characters which doom them in certain important aspect of their kits. pointing at characters like Shenhe and Yae… and certainly few to come

  13. Kokomi is objectively useful and has team comps that works well with her. How are you still saying she's not good? I don't even own her and know this. She's not amazing but she's definitely not bad either

  14. I think that the plan is to even out the numbers to some degree going forward. Instead they seem to be making characters more complex along with more complex enemy mechanics. I for one don't want the game to turn into just a cycle of bigger numbers and enemies with more hp. That would be boring. I do wish that their way of making enemies "harder" wasn't their current trend of hp sponge plus stalling and instead make the enemies more of a threat. Make mitigation more relevant by making enemies hit harder and have more aggressive AI. When people fail in abyss it isn't usually that they die, it is that they take to long. Maybe it is the Dark Souls fanboy in me but I'd love if Genshin had some enemies and bosses that were challenging and not just timed DPS checks.

  15. Actually, I have only ever got one copy of Qiqi. She's not that bad, not good but usable. I will welcome copies of Keqing, Mona and Jean if I lose a 50/50. Diluc I never liked even though he is my first 5 stars. Kokomi I do like but she is rather situational. Likewise I like Yae Miko a lot but she is hard to use effectively; not good for speed runs.

  16. First characters were universaly good. Next batch is more niche chars, which makes sense, not directly competing with OGs. Besides a few underwhelming units (mostly yoimiya and Yae who both suffer from too much limitations), i think mihoyoverse is doing a decent job at balancing new characters. Actually i am pleasantly surprised the powercreep is not happening.
However, mobs HPcreep on abysses stage 12 is real 🙁
Looks like mihoyoverse's politic is trying to sell us more C2 with bis weapon new 5* chars as a standard, when C0 was considered good enough one year ago.

  17. but tbh the most powerdul units in this game are not even the five stars, it's the six star units such as xiangling xingqiu and Bennett 😭 it's so hard to reverse powercreep these units. they just get better and better each patch

  18. They made Venti… then they made more monsters that cannot be sucked in.

They made Zhongli… then they made enemies or modes that can attack pass shield.

They made Raiden…. then they made monsters that can sap energy away…

New monsters seems to be designed around the Archons 😅

  19. Deluc is only bad because they chose to release so many good pyro DPS within a short time where yes they power creep his damage but he's just damage where Klee is glass, Hu Tao is single target mostly, and Yoimya is um well they started to realize what was happening so they couldn't make her as strong while also having range and no health drain so they were backed into a corner. you also forgot Albedo who is really strong off field damage, that despite being geo, doesn't mess with reactions too much, and makes def rolls useful. yes Ito does that too but he's a somewhat selfish dps where Albedo is there to quickly pop his abilities for good off field damage. if you value supports more, forgetting Albedo is a bit odd. yes role consolidation is valuable, since there's only 4 in a team, but i personally don't like Kokomi either. i mean this in the nicest way possible towards Valk, Mihoyo well till recently i'd say they can suck it but some recent choices proved they can learn which i want to encourage. here goes: Venti exists, Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling, all day 1 units and i could add more. this all proves they never had a clue about balancing.

  20. could just nerf the strong characters but at this point people will just bitch and moan about that. i havent gone for the super popular characters just cause its nice having somewhat of a challenge especially since they're actually adding more meaningful bosses that dont just fall over like the wolf or dvalin (or childe) granted he has 3 health bars but still he falls over p fast

  21. The game is meant for casual players for me is questionable for me considering more players playing the game = more investors = more money. Their advertising too says otherwise. Mihoyo probably doesn’t know what the hell they want to do.

  22. They haven't released a character like Sayu in a long while. She's nowhere near powercreep but S-tier at open world exploration. It should be about play style first before plugging in the numbers. So far, each character feels unique to play although some DPS characters feel similar.

  23. Rather than reverse Power creeping, they are just making more character with niche specialties than the generalist they used to create. It's an obvious route to take to make haracter fresh. It's just questionable for some people whether that is better than getting more Constellations for their already OP characters.
