Mihoyo is bringing electro into the meta | Genshin Impact

Recently, especially with the release of Inazuma, Mihoyo has made a LOT of changes that have inadvertently brought out the strength and use of electro as an element, and it seems they keep doing it, as we saw with the release of Yoimiya. So what does this all mean for the upcoming Raiden Shogun and other electro characters?

  1. Well I'd argue Razor was the first character specifically designed to be a physical dps, his element, attack speed burst, and physical damage substat all really point towards physical. However your point still stands, with them literally buffing electro reactions not that long ago.

  2. tbh when i first started the game, i searched up the weakest element and it was said to be electro… so i never really built an electro character until i got razor. even tho i mostly used razor for mining and coop, electro is a very underrated element. i hope to see an electro buff real soon! (atleast for the keqing havers and wanters)

  3. What a great video. Its quick and clear, background music is chill and straight to the point with context that makes sense. Subbed! I hope you make build videos about Raiden and other future characters

  4. The Thing is MiHoyo sees electro as it's own Thing. Like they see it as an ER element now. They Tried with Keqing as DPS but she ended up being a DPS without the damage.
For electro moving forward, reactions are not the change they need. Just make them do more Raw damage, and help in ER. That will make it fun and different than pyro, cryo and Hydro.
Plz make me use Keqing again.lol

  5. yeah, i do think mhy is trying to push electro for the better position.

btw, i just had a crazy thoughts recently that they might could buff a bit on overload. however, instead of simply buffing their damage, perhaps making overload deals more damage if the there are gaps between reaction. for example, add 5% or 10% damage for each 0.5 seconds gap between reaction or since the first electro/pyro element being applied. this way, it makes it different with vaporize or melt since it encourage players to not rapidly spam reactions. this also give mihoyo a more space for designing characters with longer internal cooldown.

  6. Tbh razors amazing, but unless we get artifact sets that increase burst duration, it's hard to use him effectively with his kit, since his burst feels ridiculously long and cant take advantage of buffs from shorter bursts because of it.

And this is why Baal specifically appeals to me because, while not being a physical dps, her burst feels very similar in usage to razors, but functions differently and has a CD that lines up with other bursts better. Pretty much razors gonna be my main dps for the second team in SA, while Baal will be the more permanent dps on team 1.

  7. Electro just lacks variety at the moment because miHoYo keeps releasing Pyro and Cryo characters, the same situation with Hydro. I'm sure new Electro characters will change how the element fares with the others.
