  1. On the topic of Capitano's story "being over"… nah. They even said that Tsaritsa didn't remove him from the first seat, there's DEFINITELY something fishy going on. Not to mention the fact that Lord of The Night, thanks to Thrain's sacrifice, can now work on fixing Natlan's leylines and connect them to other nations, and there's still one plot from Sumeru teaser that hasn't happened yet – Dottore burning Irminsul, the root of all leylines and memories of Teyvat. Mavuika even teased Dottore in Nod-Krai, no way that's a coincidence.

  2. Capitano is not dead. Ronova chose to keep him alive rather than removing the curse. I have noticed that people do not really understand what happened in the cutscene. She chose the immortality curse over her own rules. And that future is much closer we still haven't had the Dottore burning down Irminsul and that is probably what he is planning in Nod-Krai that would be the future we saw in Sumerus opening teaser.

We need context for why Ronova turned evil and why she said that she no longer cares for Natlan

  3. Most Harbingers I either hate, dislike, or tolerate.
Capitano is different. He plays fair and kept his honor straight to the end. He knows when to out his differences aside and team up, and he knows when he's won and when he's beat. He stuck to his honor and died a hero.
Rest in Peace, Thrain. You have my respect.

  4. The second I saw that short go up, I was ready for the glazing XD! I loved Capitano so much, I was interested in him from all the Fatui dialogue about him in their profiles, but he exceeded every expectation. Some of the best voice acting in Genshin, and some of the best moments. Natlan was just pure joy the whole way, and I'm glad I was able to join everyone in this community for the ride.

  5. They will probably make him playable as his “story” version of him, created by natlanese, like his second in command, Guthred
Or, Dottore burn the ley lines and somehow extract/separate Captain from lord of the night.
But I lean more into first version personally.

  6. This gave me a neat perspective. When the question of ‘o outlander, why do you fight for us?’ came up, Capitano was in Khaenri’ah. Then when he answered, he was fighting in Natlán. Felt like he was asking the abyss twin that question; then answering the people of Natlán in his own voice. Maybe using some of the abyss twin’s will to help him keep fighting

  7. The Khaenriah warriors came from a completely different world. We have been observing their willpower and desire to fight for other nations since the release of Sumeru. In the world quest of the Children of Echoes tribe in the labyrinth cave, this narrative has only intensified, and Capitano is just the pinnacle of that glory. I can't wait for the release of the story arc about this nation of heroes broken by the gods.

  8. They did Capitano so well. I liked the guy already, but after his story in Natlan I just absolutely love him so So much. He rose up to be one of my top fav characters in Genshin. And definitely my favourite Khaenri'ahn…
The only sad thing about all this is that Childe will never get the chance to fight him 😔

  9. 100% of the same mind. Capitano had absolutely captivated me by his sheer presence alone ever since Lazzo and it had only grown since then. His story and will only further reaffirmed this. Holding out hope that we will get more of him whether playable or not.

  10. I love watching your videos because it reminds me that I, too, will inevitably become a Dottore glazer when he comes back this year and that I, too, will spend two hours overanalyzing a one minute cutscene with his shoe in it

  11. Ive already say it once but ill say it again. If the man used his essence to reweave the laylines to give rest to all the souls including his own while his immortal husk sits on a throne for the rest of eternity, then there is no shot he would not try to find a way to come back if he could help it. Not when he could still do so much beyond achieving his own aspirations.

They can easily find a way to bring him back even if its his soul being granted reincarnation into a suit of armor resembling his original form FMA style.

Plus hes not a scumbag disintegrated to ashes like a marlboro named Signora. Hes as righteous and amazing as every other playable harbinger claims…well except scaramouche but that guys a prick and a multigenerational hater in general.

The main point is it would be so easy to find a writing solution to make him playable and technically mobily alive, and there are plenty of gachas that dont care about canon life expectancy or reasonable availability. Not having the Captain be playable at this rate would be akin to Mica Team scrapping Sangvis M16A1 as a capturable unit. You just dont build up the want for someone that hard just to leave money on the table.

Last but not least. Im just confounded by the traveler's inability to retain hate towards things like the heavenly principles yet its like this game wants us to hate the fatui in its entirety to the point its begging us to attack them in dialogue options where they just want to leave yet somehow we ask our twin in a dreamscape "wow you really hate the heavenly principles that much?". Like why is that a shock when you see the genocidal mass torture that was induced on the entirety of Khanriah and then some because of five dickheads. Celestia is actually awful compared to the Fatui that sometimes have to commit crimes and end up unfortunately employing awful people with bad ambitions because they're a major milestone for their own plan to likely overthrow Celestia itself.

I dunno man i think the traveler might actually be becoming Paimon in a paradoxical loop with how stupid they can act.

  12. Don't worry. Capitano will be playable. He has alot of Jesus and Christian motifs, namely his crucifixion constellation, which symbolizes Jesus's self sacrifice to save us, similar to how The Captain sacrificed himself to save Mavuika

He also had alot of daffodils and blue butterflies during the cutscene where he was walking up to the throne, which symbolize the coming of spring and rebirth

Also, the biggest hint I just realized is this: From what I heard, Jesus came back 3 days after he died right ? Now check this out. We know the Paradox needs to be addressed and it can't be kept going on forever cuz if Ronova doesn't do something quick, there'll be major consequences.

3 days = 3 patches from now, meaning the 2nd half of Natlan and for the 2nd half of the major nation content to drop, including the 2nd weekly boss. 3 patches from now will also be the april/May time period, which is considered spring in many parts of the world at that time and the biggest clue ?

If there are no delays or fastforwards in Mihoyo's patch cycle, 5.6 drops exactly at 7th May and guess what ? 7 is the lucky number of the Lord, and what other 2nd half major characters do have to release than The Captain to release at that time ? Not the 1st time they went with symbolic patterns for big character releases. From what I know, Arlechinno released during a blood moon or something

Every nation has 17 characters and so far, they've only shown 16. They are deliberately hiding the 17th character and this is not even cope. This is realistic predictions based in the pattern they've followed since Inazuma.

Also, to make it even more obvious, even non harbingers talk about him and he has a chibi sticker in-game too, setting his current design in stone and forcing devs to stick with it when he comes back even if they wanna change it.

There's more things I can say to confirm his playability but that'll go into leak territory. Regardless, I think I've made myself clear that The Captain will be playable in the future. It's not a matter of If, but when.

  13. I really wish people would appreciate you more man……You analyze everything, you know the lore, you read the books…..like it’s actually insane. I was surprised to see you knew about stuff that was really hidden, such as sages before sumeru came out, harbinger names and such in very short dialogue areas, etc. Like you care about shit like Perinheri, you care about Before Sun and Moon, you care about Phanes….it’s just so nice. It is really a shame that no bigger Genshin YouTuber have that same level of literacy with all these things.

  14. I'm not crying when I played the 5.3 archon quest. Like, I'm just amazed all the time. But a few days later this animated short comes out, and I just started bawling my eyes out. These vocals and lyrics are chilling. I got goosebumps the first time I heard it. Like, "O Outlander. Why do you fight? Why do you bleed for us?" as he walked through the staggered Natlanese warriors while dragging his sword on the ground, standing on the frontline. I was crying hard. Also, the vocals when he sits on the throne? Chills. You just can't hate this man.

  15. Here is a popular comment from a Chinese community that I think is worth reading.

"Look at this master of playing dumb.

Rather than saying the Captain is exploiting a bug, it’s more accurate to say that Ronova HERSELF is just waiting for him to "exploit the bug."

There's no need for any precognitive abilities—those SEVEN EYES IN THE SKIES are enough. Do you really think she couldn’t see a clumsy “grandchild” climbing the mountain, huffing and puffing, with a Khaenri'ahn companion by his side?

In fact, the fact that the one who cast the "Curse of Immortality" was the "Shade of Death" and not the "Shade of Life" suggests that the curse wasn’t meant as punishment. Instead, it seems to be a desperate measure to prevent Khaenri'ahns infected by the Abyss's power from dying and further contaminating the ley lines.

The Shade of Death isn’t the "Shade Who Wants You Dead," but rather the "Shade of the Dead Spirit." From the perspective of protecting the spirits, everything makes sense—whether it’s establishing the Night Kingdom (“That cunning Xbalanque stole my power”), casting the Curse of Immortality (to protect the ley lines from pollution), or this time allowing the Captain to die in their place (“The angels are so inflexible”).

It’s all to ensure that the souls of Natlan and Khaenri'ah can find peace, all in the name of protecting the souls of Teyvat.

For such a noble Shade, Ronova sure behaves like someone who is soft-spoken, fragile, and easy to manipulate.

She makes a contract with Xbalanque, talking about how "everything comes at a price," yet leaves the price column blank, letting the other party fill it in however they like, only to say:

“Oh my, humans are so cunning.”

And with that, she shifts the blame completely.

If you told me she’s some shady woman, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised."
