  1. You are forgetting that the faster the characters get their rerun the faster will run into versions full of new characters (Ayaka-Yoimiya-Raiden-Cockomi), that will actually be extremely hard for F2P and low spenders

  2. I personally wish they move characters into the standard banner pull of 5 stars, especially since that already is pretty monstat skewed with no rep for inazuma and on 2 characters for Liyue

  3. This is actually really good, i was worried about spending my primos on a character and realizing another character i want more was coming soon. I only want a few of the 5 stars so skipping tons of banners doesn't bother me

  4. when the game dev meant well but so many dummy not using their head and simply love to hate on them… when I saw the double banner, my only concern was if you have to build pity for each of them separately but its very quickly and clearly explained that the twin banners will share pity count. Now if we don't get a certain character, we also don't have to wait as long for their banner to come back.

  5. in the article you used it clearly states that it's about how many gems you can get per patch aka 42 days not 30 which is a big difference
plus the article assumes that you 36 star the abyss
which not many f2p players can achieve, let alone new player that you mentioned that can benefit from this new system
    good maths…

  6. I hope you can read this. And hope you can give your opinion too and i dont get hate. So… doing a double banner rerun at the same time is pretty much garbage in long term perspective. Especially all characters before inazuma are pretty much crack (HuTao,Xiao,Ganyu). Double banner reruns isnt F2P friendly if you ask me. The whole downside of this double rerun banner is if BOTH rerun characters are good like Xiao and Ganyu and not LOSING 50/50. If an f2p who is saving for ganyu (if guaranteed to get ganyu) and WANTS xiao. Its pretty much a force topup from the player. Its a cashgrab tactic from genshin devs. Comparing the banner system in Honkai tho. Rerun banner happens often every patch (2rerun each patch lasting a week) the honkai banner rerun had a pretty goodjob on doing it tbh. But in genshin which are currency is bare minimum and you need to save 3months worth of primos just to have a guarantee is…. ye a lost. Thats my opinion tho dont hate me.

  7. Yeah but i only saved enough for albedo (i have guaranteed) and then eula shows up. I love both, and since we have double reruns now, Venti can show up again whenever hdhrhth

  8. There are still like 4 more archons and regions left which will likely have a minimum of 5-6 5star characters if we go by monds/liyue/inazuma. There are so much more characters they will release. It only makes sense that theyre doing multiple character reruns. Think about it.

  10. Wouldn't it be better to just have a Permanent Banner dedicated to reruns which uses both IF and AF for pulling and had all the rerun characters released so far listed, to be picked and be rated up (similar to setting path to a preferred weapon) and players can choose who they really want and work towards it. This clearly solves one problem of players asking for content as they already know what to work on everyday with the characters they pick and get.

If the pacing for the new character remains the same then the only issue players would have is to either impulse spend their fates into the banner with rerun characters or save up max pity and then decide based on the next new character. They can add a new rerun unit to this list as and when they tie them into the story, this is the only control miHoYo can use. This way miHoYo can significantly and consistently earn more money over the course of the patch rather than having a spike during a patch drop. Do we really want to waste time of our lives saving for a character which could drop in a year (Albedo/Ganyu) in the current system to say 8 or even 6 with this new system. Can any rerun character stand the test of time of the eventual Powercreep and Design choices. Player satisfaction and retention is everything for the upcoming competitive days, there will be times when even the anticipation and wait of rerun characters will not hold players to stay and play if the new characters don't interest them. Players controlling how they want to play the game with the characters they want at that time could help keep daily game activity especially for Genshin. While they took the decision to change the system, they could have changed it with the future in mind.

The only argument against the system I proposed (which I copy pasta here from another gacha game i played before) would be the potential of losing major revenue from returning players who have to spend for the character they missed since the banner is limited and only a wait for another 6 months will ensure for them to get the character again as oppose to returning and start grinding from where they left off. For Ex: Hu Tao probably brought back a lot of players into the game and make them spend as well. But I'm not sure this would be healthy for the game in the long run. We will wait to see.

  11. I wasn't expecting double reruns and now I have my chance to get Eula again. I highly approve of double banners since now we don't have to wait as long for reruns to come around and still have room for new 5 star characters. Though I do hope they don't just limit it to whichever characters are relevant to the updates.

  12. Personally I quite like it. Though I think they need to give more primo opportunities now that banners are gonna be coming out faster. Like double event primo rewards, though there has been a lot more event lately, so it ain’t too bad. Though Venti and Zhongli better not share banner dates or I’ll be upsetty spugetty and my friends will never hear the end of it 🙂

  13. I would like to also add that some gacha games do this but not in this format in fate grand order a rerun banner can give 2 limited 5 stars on one banner but on the 5 star characters can be solo summoned on different days or both can be summoned on the same day at the same percentage its not the same as genshin but this feels like it

  14. Question is if this is pernament feature (every patch two reruns) or are they just gonna do this whenever they like. Knowing Mihoyo I wouldn't be really suprised if they would usually put single reruns so that characters still apear only once a year but then put two highly anticipated character at the same time. You got to creat this FOMO afterall.
