  1. 7:22 "They are fictional" yeah sure buddy.. Bet they wont do the same when it comes to liyue/china. If its anything to do with liyue/china, they wont respond like that and bend their knees to daddy china numba wan.

  2. People’s first reaction or solution to their “problems” nowadays is going to twitter and asking others to raise pitchforks just like them. Why are these guys always so mad? 🤣 Again, can’t we actually help IRL people who are struggling with racism when we see them in the streets instead of using petitions to boycott games??

  3. i see no issue with skin some people just dont think with there brain in the first place/ people going ape shitz over this/ also those people prob dont play the game and if they do it better for them to quit if they are feeling that way as game is a work of fiction and need to know the difference between reality and fiction

  4. WHO GIVES A SHIT!?
Like seriously, why are people SO pathetic? It's just a character, nobody cares if they're African, Caucasian, Asian or Hispanic.
People need to calm down, making themselves look stupid xD

  5. HAH! wait till they see FGO 🤣

this is why I always say that they need separate to separate themselves between reality and fiction, your representation doesn't means shi* in video games
sjw always ruins fun things in video games 🤣

  6. 90% of people who say its just fiction this and that are mostly either whites or somewhat brown or something down the line.

Whites by all means are superior. Lets imagine. Switch the roles.
Blacks were superior and whites were slaves in the past.

In this day and age its basically normalised.
    But
They would want to be… Represented even if its fiction

  7. LOL, Genshin have the most Skin Variety compared to other games like WuWa, Blue Archive & many more.
Mondstadt (Germany) – Kaeya = Black

Fontaine (France) – Sethos = Brown
Natlan (South America/Pacific) – Mualani = Black, Kachina = Brown, Kinich = Light Brown, Citali = Light Brown, Iansan = Black, Xilonen = Brown, Capitano = Black

  8. I mean, I have a friend named Krisna and he's not blue, so i don't see the problem using a god's name for a character and not 100% be the same.
Honestly, i wonder how many people that sign the petition actually play the game.

  9. Idc about representation, but it is strange that they live in a desert yet most of them have such fair complexions. But Genshin is a Chinese game that happens to be available globally. They have to please China first; everyone else is second or non-existent.

  10. Ok but why Hoyoverse games don't actually have any black characters though? there is a few that have a darker skin, but not even close to black. I think it's a genuine observation.

It's actually scary how many people are uncomfortable with the petition.

  11. Wtf is this comment section its literally common sense to respect cultures you take influence from. You're a horrible influencer for spreading hate and ignorance and creating a terrible community. I wish i can speak from a place of the supposed privilege you have.

  12. i hate how these morons think stereotypes are how people are supposed to be and ack and pushing it into video game, boycott DEI in gaming needs to start NOW. we need to protect our entertainment from the people that never liked it in the first place and has ALWAYS set out to DESTROY it

  13. I hope Genshin just respond with Changing Ororon name into something else 😂 that would be funny. I’m from India and Sumeru Design and Architecture was influenced by india and egyptian culture but in reality it was only 1-5% of These cultures. And Honestly dark skin doesn’t go well with their Colour palette at all.

  14. despite that, genshin already are the anime game with the most dark skin characters. People say its not diverse enough, you can look at any other game, usually there are none in these eastern games.

  15. I mean there have always been a lot of MASSIVE red flags pointing towards Hoyovesre being racist/colorist so this doesn't surprises me at all. It's just this community….like I find the frustration valid but the way people can react to it with the most stupid excuses in defense of Hoyoverse and some literally outing that they are racist has disgusted me. Seems bigots found their game and company

    Im glad I stopped playing!

  16. I think there's a little misconception here. As a west African person myself, I don't NEED there to be black or African representation in a video game. Its fine not to have it. But if you were, to, let's say, use the name and influences of a character from a Nigerian religion, then intentionally make them, you know, not black, that would be a little strange, even if it is fiction, right?

It's Ororon. This dude. He's my only problem. I don't hate real people, that's not my deal, but the distain I feel for this man is ineffable. The English language does not have enough synonyms for 'dislike' for me to use. OK, I think that's a little dramatic, I don't take this that seriously, it is NOT going to affect my life too much, but its disappointing. It's like if they took a white or black character, gave them traditional Chinese clothing, and then called him Pangu. That's the chinese creator god, if you were wondering.

And a lot of these petitions and stuff are being so… ugh. They're making us look bad man. I don't want them to "address the Sumeru situation", I've long since gotten over that, and what would they even do? That's long past, bro. Just give the characters a splash of melanin. That's all we need. Usually I don't support those race changing edits, but I saw one of the Natlan characters, and it actually looked good.

Also, the JP and CN communities seem to also care, and since Hoyo only listens to them, we might have a chance.

I've noticed that on this situation the fandom seems split between the "add melanin" and the "its just a game/ go outside/ people are dying" people. And I've also noticed that comments sections like this rarely have more than like three people on one side and all of the rest are on the other. So, if you disagree with me, please reply. I don't want to start an echo chamber of only people who agree with me. And don't just click off videos just because the person making them disagrees with you, man. Unless its blatant rage bait. Then you'd be doing everyone a favour by just ignoring it.

  17. Thing i think its funny, some English VAs complains about it, but never ever they asked to be removed from the project since the company is so "evil". Xwitter Warriors! Great joke. LUL

  18. People are allowed to portray anything as they please. It's fiction, dood. It's not that deep. You don't need to make everything the same. You can do gender bender, you can reduce the stature of the fictional character, and you can skin swap anything that you want if that's what you want.

    Fiction is fiction.

Good lord… The Genshin community is so damn normie and so damn woke that I'm glad that I stopped playing the game and visiting the forums. What a bunch of snowflakes!
