  1. Never one to tell someone how to play their game, just for awareness, if you do decide to continue the Lantern rite quest next week, you will meet a slew of characters out of order and they'll be acting as though you have met them before. It's a question of how much a spoiler would you want? and how weird it will feel to be reintroduced to a character you'll then have done a quest with as though it's the first time.

  2. Nuuuuu you ended up getting Lantern Rite spoilers! I tried to tell you not to go to Liyue Harbor yet 😭😭 Just pretend you didn’t see anything.

Edit: to avoid any more spoilers, just go explore or do some quests in Mondstadt for the next few times until Lantern Rite is over (7 days from now).

  3. if you dont like nahida's design then why you pull on her banner? its not like you already about her chain skill before. So you are more into designs ha, but why you pulled her then? you kept on saying you are not a fun her design but you kept on pulling in her banner. Are you going to tell me you did not see her design? You can view it pal

  4. if the characters you met for the first time has the strip of the introduction text across the screen, it means you'll meet them in the main story before meeting them in the ongoing event, but if you met the character for the first time didnt have that introduction text, it means that, that is your canon first time meeting with any new characters

  5. 1:13:27 bloom itself doesn’t do any damage it just creates flowers, you should hit these flowers with electro or pyro attacks to make em deal damage(if you hit em with electro they will become self-guided missiles, if you hit em with pyro they will explode)

  6. Something I dont think anyone has said yet is that tou can mark things on the map, so if you find smth interesting or that you want to come back to later you can put a pin in the map and label it.

  7. For artifacts if you dont want to think much there is a button to fast equip and it puts the best ones you have for the selected character. Also when you are selecting a piece you can press up and it shows you which stat is the best one. For example on barbara it would show you hp% also you could realize that when you read the skills cause it says it scales with hp. Of course there are other meme builds like dps barbara that wont show you in the game but the recommended ones by the game are great.

  8. If you want to get daily commissions on Liyue Harbour, you have to open your adventure book – commission – and change the preferred location Liyue (I guess once the map is already opened enough, but go try it if you want)

  9. NADHIA's (lol) big house by default, increases all elemental combination damage.

Pyro/water/electro also add on those special effects that you already know, its a very nice yummy buff for everyone

  10. it seems the game prioritize Lantern Rite quest over Liyue Archon Quest just because you got that quest first, then the latter after you reached AR 23.

But don't worry, once you finished all Lantern Rite interaction in liyue(its not much), you'll get teleported elsewhere, Then you can do the Archon Quest.
but still, I kinda want you to experience the event quest, at least till the final cutscene…its your choice anyway so I wouldn't care even if you didn't

(lil bit of teaser) the event quest centered around Gaming, its the first time we were all ever met him.

  11. This comment is mostly my opinion/advice/tips abt lantern rite SORRY I just don't have much else new to say

    — NICE job w/ the time trial literally one second to go that was great

    — the teyvat travel guide has some Interesting lore behind it actually 🙂 the author, Alice, is an important figure
Note her uh, preoccupation w/ bombs & the mention of children,, it'll come up in time

    — Barbara is also a character that has been on my team since the beginning <33 i WoNdEr WhEn ShE'lL bE aS tAlL aS hEr BiG sIsTeR

    — oh her big sister is Jean btw in case you forgot

    — many ppl are recommending different things abt lantern rite, so I'll throw my opinion in there. Long rant incoming sorry I had to skim through a play through of this lantern rite to make sure I got details correct

There's a major story spoiler that gets referenced in the whole lantern rite quest. Only three/four times, & two of those could be glazed over if you don't pay close enough attention, but it Is a Big one

The main thing to consider is this: do you want to do the minigames? As a new player w/ the entire map to explore, only the Prologue of the archon quest done, & gifted crystals & welkins, there's no benefit in spending time doing the minigames if it's Just for primos. However!! If you play enough minigames you can invite one Liyue four star character for free! That's a major boon to someone who doesn't have many characters (& you only have one Liyue character rn so as long as you don't choose a ga ming constellation, whoever you pick will be new). & there's a xingqiu skin! You've talked abt clothes a lot & (unfortunately) the only way to get skins for Free is from limited events. After that you have to buy them w/ crystals. Though I think someone gifted you crystals? So I guess You can get skins for free if you have enough that aren't converted those to primos yet. Also you don't have to have a character to get the skin so dw abt not having xingqiu yet

BASICALLY bc of all that above I would recommend playing the lantern rite quest JUST UP UNTIL you get the animated cut scene that unlocks the minigames, get all 9 of the rewards from the first minigame & 12 (out of 15) rewards from the second minigame. This will save the most time while getting you the amt of points needed to invite a free Liyue four star, get the skin, & earn some extra primos/material rewards

If you now really REALLY want to do the entire lantern rite quest now, here are the four sections during which you should take off your heaphones & quickly skip through/Don't Read the text if you want to avoid the story spoiler:

1.) Interaction w/ the two guys (first part of the quest): Paimon will ask them to prove their identity & say, "& it better not be some common knowledge that any person on the street could tell you!" Ignore the very next line of dialogue. After that the rest of this interaction is fine

2.) Xianyun shopping (still in first part of the quest): Ignore the scene w/ her @ the tea stall until she moves to the next stall. Just know she gets scammed into buying ten boxes of tea bc it's "buy ten boxes get half off!!!"

3.) Xiao flashback (third part of the quest): a character named Xiao will appear. You will enter a flashback to explain his appearance after he says "I've been here the whole time." Ignore everything in this flashback Until he leaves the tree

4.) Fourth part: just don't do the whole fourth part of the quest. It's for ppl who are finished w/ Fontaine (you are 23 archon quest acts away from finishing Fontaine)

But again, I think it's a better use of your time to just go until you unlock the minigames, if @ all

Also the video I'm referencing is 2.5 hrs long (this is excluding the fourth part), so if you Do decide to do the whole lantern rite quest, make sure not to get too side tracked bc lantern rite ends 1 week & 6 hrs from when I'm typing this. & don't mix the lantern rite quest w/ the liyue archon quest it'll get confusing & characters/locations will get occupied & quest lock you

It can feel bad to pass on limited events, but I'm sure once you're caught up, ppl can direct you to where to catch up on any big lore/character development/funny things/etc you've missed

  12. Watching people's first reaction to liyue harbor never gets old. It's really pretty at night and becomes especially gorgeous in lantern rite event.
And it seems you've triggered the lantern rite quest. It will tell you gaming's story but it has minor spoilers. If you want to proceed make sure NOT to play the part 4 of the quest since it has MAJOR spoiler.
Might as well play the mini games though! Claim those rewards!

Oh for barbara, her heals scale from HP so slap them HP artifacts on her. Collect thrilling tales of dragon slayer for her too. The weapon increases barbara's HP and gives a huge attack boost for the first swapped character after barbara.

Can't wait to see you play liyue archon quest.

  13. I knew you'd trigger the lantern rite once you started heading toward the harbor 😆 it's okay tho. Your choice if you want to continue. But it will open the events for you. Which is a great way to gain materials and a free 4 star character of your choice. That is if you decide to do the events.

Also, I love your reaction to Liyue Harbor. It never gets old looking at it especially during latern rite. Can't wait for the next video. Keep it up! 😊👍

  14. I've been binge-watching this series since I found your channel last week, and I'm finally caught up. It was great seeing your first reaction to Liyue Harbor this episode!

I'll try to explain a bit how events like the Lanturn Rite work in Genshin:

Every Genshin version, which usually lasts 6 weeks, has a main event (like the Lanturn Rite) as well as some small exploration or challenge events (like the Triumphant Frenzy you've come across at the start of this video).

The small events usually don't have that big of a story and only focus on you helping a single NPC in some kind of challenge or quest. For the most part, they aren't important lore-wise, so you won't be missing out much if you don't do them. While they don't tend to spoil anything for the story, they do feature enemies from other regions you haven't been to before. The Triumphant Frenzy event you've seen, for reference, has enemies from the other three nations you haven't visited yet. If you don't want to get spoiled on those enemies, I don't recommend doing these now. They also sometimes have trial characters to use that you haven't met yet, so those might be a bit of a spoiler as well.

The main event, however, tends to feature a big story with important characters you've met in the game, and also introduce new characters sometimes. Some of the characters introduced on these time-limited events have never appeared outside of events yet, neither in an Archon Quest or Story Quest.
The story for this year's Lanturn Rite revolves mostly around your first encounter with Gaming and some of his backstory. Currently, Gaming only appears on this event, so there is a chance he might never appear on an Archon Quest or Story Quest and remain an event-exclusive character. Considering you liked his design and personality, it will be a shame if you miss out his introduction here.
The Lanturn Rite story is divided into 4 Acts. The first three acts focuses on the Lanturn Rite itself and Gaming's backstory. They feature a total of 12 Liyue characters you're supposed to have met prior to this event, so it will have a lot of spoilers on who these characters are, their personalities, and some lore of the region. The fourth act also includes a lot of characters from Fontaine, which is the fifth nation you'll visit, and does spoil some stuff from the Fontaine Archon Quest, so I definitely don't recommend doing this last act.

The main events also feature some minigames you can play. To get to the minigames for this event, you'll need to at least talk to those two people that were overhearing your conversation (which are important characters you're supposed to have met in the Liyue Archon Quest, and your conversation with them will have story spoilers) and do some non-spoiler stuff afterwards. You don't need to complete the whole event story to play the minigames. The game will show you the event page once you unlock them.
With the event tickets you get from playing minigames you get access to different rewards, some of them exclusive to the current event. For this year's Lanturn Rite, you can get a free skin for Xingqiu (the Hydro guy you used in a trial a couple episodes back) as well as a 4-star Liyue character of your choice.

Ultimately it's your choice to play the Lanturn Rite or not, but I personally don't recommend it. There will be downsides regardless of what you choose.
    – If you do play it, you'll meet lots of characters from Liyue before their first introductions in the Archon Quests or Story Quests.
    – If you don't play it, you won't have the chance to see Gaming's first introduction and know a bit about his backstory. You'll also miss out on getting Xingqiu's skin (which you can only get with real money if you don't play this event) and the free Liyue character.

  15. please don't continue the latern rite! It has spoilers for the next nations after Liyue! You weren't supposed to meet Charlotte or Keqing yet, but I don't think the cut scene was avoidable, so no worries. Please talk to Katherine next video and avoid talking to those two suspicious fellows Paimon spotted out.

  16. You are so lucky to see Liyue for the first time at night and during lantern quest. It's stunning.

Regarding the clash of quests: part of the problem arose by not highlighting the Rite of descension quest. – not something you could know beforehand though. If you do that now and mark it on your quest menu you can trigger it . The location is marked just in front of where Keying and Charlotte were standing. (However, even with that highlighted if you had moved towards those two characters you would trigger their talking.)

Anyway, ignore the two people Paimon is suspicious of and you can continue with the Rite of Descension – markers will appear on the city to talk to 3 people. and more info will follow. It takes place on higher ground in Liyue so does not interfere with the Lantern Rite.

  17. That Lantern Rite cutscene plays automatically 😅 they really should have made it optional so that we don't get spoiled on characters we haven't met before.

Don't worry about it! You don't have to continue the event if you don't want to, and if you want to keep going, there's also plenty of time to finish the event. So you'll have fun either way 🎉 if you didn't like the way they treated the traveller like they knew him from before, the rest of the event will all be like that, save for the introduction of one new character.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to do!
