Don’t mean to start controversy but it’s pretty obvious Lanyan power creeps Zhongli. Not only does she provide more res shred than him just for a slightly weaker shield. Being anemo also helps alot with swirls and her minimal cc. Zhongli I feel was just comfy. But Lanyan is providing slightly less comfort than him for a bigger value. Crucify me idc

I feel like one of the underrated things about lan Yan is the fact that her shield allows you to run the calamity of eshu on clorinde teams and not need xilonen or zhongli. Zhongli just doesn't buff as much as her and you can now run xilonen on team two,not to mention lan Yan's shield is way better than xilonen's geo crystallize shield,also the fact that she can run ttds

One thing i never see anyone mention, her C1 doubles her E hit and infusion, soo if you have a hybrid build on her with ATK sand and goblet and crit circlet, she can be a Decent quill proc for shenhe in a cyro team+ a shielder

Tbh I want Lanyan not as an alternative for Sucrose/Kazuha but as a replacement for Zhongli. Good thing Hoyo finally made a shielder that is not bad and competitive in terms of buffing your DPS. People should be comparing her to Zhongli more than Suc/Kazu cause Zhongli's role is what she's more likely going to contest. Now I can ditch Zhongli to oblivion
