Love him! Got C2 at his release. His Shield is so versatile. But honestly, i mostly use him with Ganyu melt or tighnari hyper. But i agree, Zhong li doesnt have Def shred. He reduces resistances.. Def is another multiplier…

I think he is very good .. some characters need him and that's enough to give him value .. but as sup dps he sucks .. his burst is a waste of time .. building attack instead hp isn't worth it and if you don't have high crit and attack then his burst is a dps lost ..
Personally I’ve been playing this game for over a year without having Zhongli and I will continue doin so (unless Geo gets buffed), I don’t think he is a must pull since 1 shielder/healer per team is enough, and there are alot of good 4 stars

I'm pulling for Freminet because Kaveh is not on the Phase 2 banners. The 4-stars on the banners show that Hoyoverse was serious about fixing the major issue it had a week ago.
I. Still can’t believe it’s been a year already
While the Rifthounds do counter shield characters, the latter isn't completely helpless. Zhongli's shield still shreds their resistances – no other shield does that. Shields still block all other damage, thus providing knockback immunity, even if the corrosion goes through. Certain shield characters that provide more than just a damage-sponge, such as Layla, are helpful against Rifthounds. Not only is Layla's shield a good runner-up against Zhongli, her cryo applications while shielded is invaluable for melt/freezing reactions.
As the tried-and-true saying goes: "the sooner they die, the less damage you take."
I think he is a must pull if you play Hu Tao, Yoimiya, Tignari, Wanderer or Ganyu

I run an absolutely unhinged physical build on him because it’s fun! I 100% recommend everyone try playing phys Zhongli if they ever get bored 😉

Layla is a better user of the Millelith set than Zhongli cause his geo monument can be broken and has small AOE.
is it worth it if i pull for zhongli? I already have kokomi and shes already a good healer for my team. I like the idea of having zhongli's shield but at the same time i still have kokomi. On top of that, i still want venti, ayato, and albedo.
