100% agree. For me the archons need to be the best on they role…they are the identity of the element. And we are losing that simbology and lore. Genshin have one of the best art direction i see and made this trash technical decisions for more profit. Really sad.
While I don't disagree with your overall point, it's just much too early to tell IMHO, cause they could very well design more trash mob enemies for future areas and content as well. Then suddenly venti is desirable again right? characters in this game have very clear designs and roles for those designs. Venti is the crowd control god when it comes to trash mobs, this is just fact right? So when content surrounds more trash mobs, he's good. People can't expect every single character to be good in every single situation. That's not very realistic at all. (bennett is an anomaly so nobody better bring him up) And compared to most other gacha games where they powercreep characters and make them irrelevant in like the same year the character released, genshin hasn't really done that though. At least, not to the absurd degree most gacha games do when it comes to powercreep. Overall though I definitely don't disagree with where you're coming from at all cause it's a very valid line of thinking to have.
Venti is such a great unit in terms of character design, personality, gameplay and abilities. Although he hasn’t been as requested since the introduction of Inazuma, he still made my journey around Teyvat a “breeze” with his wind current. Collecting drops is also easier with his ability sucking things to one area. He is a bow user and great for world puzzles and flying enemies. He is an exploration god being anemo and his gliding passive. Although Kazuha has gone to prominence and almost replacing Venti.
Venti and zhongli have been getting some strong indirect nerfs with the amount of enemies that Denies their main functions of their kid. It’s both good and bad really having characters that used to feel godly now feel a lot less useful . It hurts but at the same time having characters that work against 100% of all enemies is kinda bad because they will forever be universal making other characters more obscure and less used. A bunch of characters are becoming more obsolete but at the same time we are getting more of a variety in the abyss and more than just the National team and something else. Bennett is getting a bit of this treatment as well from the corrosion damage. His inability to team heal is making it more difficult for him to be a solo healer at times. But it’s possible but just harder. If they put him in standard banner I think it would help him out a bit so it’s possible to get more constellations and that goes for Klee too. It’s about time they updated the standard banner
imo, knowing mihoyo, they could introduce something that can buff old characters like they did in honkai with the pri-arm system but it's still too early to do that. Plus in terms of abyss, it varies depending on that specific version's featured character anyway so by the time they introduce another character with mechanics that may be similar or close to venti's, I feel like he's gonna be useful again. And we still don't know what the dendro update's gonna give us so who knows, really. IDK just my two cents.
They really should fix the thing where you can clutter stuff cuz heavy enemies we can understand but why not the rest? I mean even from a game perspective it doesn't make sense that the archon of wind can't suck up stuff like bombs and enemies.
having a weakness is fine lol, venti is still good in lower floors and in mob scenarios, and I doubt him being very specific to mobs is a bad niche to be in anyway
The pain… i feel it so bad with stormterrors theme… he is my fav archon so goofy and funny but hoyoverse just neglected him so much… It really hurts man.. it really does
As a venti main, this is important and relevant, especially with Venti's re-run coming up and all you hear about is hype for Kazuha (nothing against Kazuha, he's a great character) Ultimately, the issue is about the longevity of the game, and who mhy chooses to prioritise more from their playerbase. Atm, it seems to be leaning towards those that contribute more financially (whales) who have already c6r5 all the characters and are interested in new characters, rather than f2ps or small spenders. This makes sense from an economical pov, but again, doesn't bode well for the longevity. One point of contention is the point of newer characters being more flexible. On the contrary, i think the opposite is true? In an effort to slow down 'powercreep', it seems mhy is leaning towards characters that fill a very specific niche, and requires a certain team/other character to shine (i.e. gorou, shenhe, yunjin, raiden to some extent, yae with her high burst cost etc)
While I definitely agree there has been a shift to nerfing venti, the same can be said of shield characters. Honestly, I would like a little MORE power creep because many of the latest characters have not been worth pulling. Old characters SHOULD lose some value over time to some degree, otherwise there is no reason to get new characters.
We will likely get more Mondstadt characters in the future. Varka at least (and possibly more considering he took a bunch of knights with him) also with Dendro I'm sure some of them will be from past regions. Then there is the Port area north of Mondstadt, if the leaks are accurate we only have around 60% of Mondstadt playable so far. My guess is they will release that area after Sumeru and before Fontaine (maybe spring of next year?) so we might get some characters that live in the Port area.
Make no mistake people… What happened to Venti, will happen to Raiden and is already starting to happen to Zhongli… The moment Sumeru comes, Zhongli will become an afterthought and Raiden will start getting powercrept.

🌸🌹I would utter “Venti is ok”, but he certainly is not the powerhouse he once was during the initial release of Genshin Impact!🌹🌸
🌸🌺It is quite alright the absence, we are all to some degree “subject to absence every now and then”!🌺🌸
yeah, Venti and Zhongli are a perfect couple

Venti sucks because he doesn’t suck
She’s still good 👍🏻
as venti main this is valid
Very useful video!
I still love venti for his presence in the game lore, so if he gets a rerun I’ll still pull for him ☺️

fill abyss 12 with 100 treasure hoarders, he'll be meta again
Yeah I noticed that too
having a weakness is fine lol, venti is still good in lower floors and in mob scenarios, and I doubt him being very specific to mobs is a bad niche to be in anyway
Yeah Venti definitely needs buff.. His main skill is to suck enemies into the vortex and all enemies should get sucked into his vortex.
I want to have Venti on his next rerun and I still haven't got a chance to pull for him because I am a new player T^T
Meta characters change over time, but the happiness that your waifu/husbando brings you is eternal
The pain… i feel it so bad with stormterrors theme… he is my fav archon so goofy and funny but hoyoverse just neglected him so much… It really hurts man.. it really does

I don't care if his kit is still good, I am in love with him and so I will get him and use him
I have a feeling the concept of weight and weight reduction will be introduced in the future.

Agreed, however gacha games always awaken or make same char with another skillset, so let's see how it goes 👀
It's true that Kazuha powercreeps Venti but the community just don't want to accept it smh. Crowd Control isn't everything in genshin.

I prefer Kazuha
genshin needs to put venti rerun
