  1. What is this doomposting? This Chasm patch has actually been really good. Yae definitely has problems, but Ayato is a really great unit, glitch or no glitch. The only thing that I feel Genshin needs more of right now is a more substantial repeatable endgame. Abyss is pretty limited and it would be amazing if they added a competitive/non-competitive co-op option to it. Better yet, they can add an entirely different co-op or competitive focused mode.

  2. I can easily believe that Hoyo is scrambling at the moment. Rumor was, for a long time, that the next city area to open up was planned to mimic Russia. Yeah. Hey, it's just a guess, but perhaps they are rethinking that? Obviously, I don't know this for sure but it would explain a bit about what is happening now.

  3. The chasm story writing is much much better. Idk what happen with inazuma with their lackluster writing. Im glad that im finally going to bother to pay attention to the story again.

  4. My first point, the story was never that interesting to begin with. The LORE is interesting, especially the newer lore dropped in Enkanomiya, but the story itself has always been uninteresting. Why is childe of all fatui a playable character but signora got merced as soon as she stepped into inazuma? venti's quest was the only well written one whereas something like zhongli's was just flat out boring. Also if we're talking about bugs, Xinyan has had a bug with her shield since 1.1, literally the START of the game and its gone unfixed going on 2 years now. I genuinely think this player base is fickle and hypocritical doesnt actually have a concrete opinion on anything. Video games, have, slow, patches. Humans are at work making new content. Re-runs help them put out a banner and at the same time help them make and work on the bigger content such as new islands, areas to explore, characters, etc. Honestly, they could be working on new end game content as we speak but! we have no clue! the opinions of people on the internet who have 0 clue the timelines of game development, costs, time, and worked hours is insane. Bunch of people with 0 knowledge in the field complaining on twitter about subject they know nothing about, normal social media behavior.

  5. I do agree with a lot of the points made in the video. Like, the story does feel very… meh. Doing quests feels like the playable character's personality is all duty and backstory (with the exception of Itto). All the events have been very meh (and previous patch felt really bland due to re-exploration of Enkanomiya), and sadly they don't seem they're gonna stop their addiction of making nearly everything in the game time limited.

I guess another issue I have with the game is that they release a unit and they just leave it as they are. Like Thoma, he's useless outside of being shielder for Hu Tao. And I don't get people who say Pyro is OP, 99% of those people only use Bennett and Xiangling (and sometimes Hu Tao)

  6. Not lazy, just arrogant, as long as we don't have a valid competitor on the field, Genshin won't change. If it's true that Raiden rerun sold for half a bilion, resources are not the issue. The mix of arrogance and incompetence most likely are. Yeah, i espect the worst from Lazyhoyo and especially after A WHOLE YEAR of waiting for a real archon quest seeing barely 1 hour worth gamepley was very disappointing. ( yes, once you separate the sub quest part from the actual story arc you're left with a miserable hour, if you don't rush)

  7. Ik what u mean at the same time i think its just ballone talk we desperatly need qol changes and actual quality in gameplay too look at the chasm its awesome i loved going around still not finished with it but characters need the same level if not better since after i clear the Chasm i will barely go back there unless quest/commision happen there but characters like Thoma, Miko is still there to have fun with them expect they are either super underwhelming to play or just flat out unfun and for a 5 star unit especialy thats not okay.

  8. They never "gave up" on Genshin, rather, their stance on the game has never changed since launch of the game. The only reason we have fonder memories of it in the beginning was because the game was new and the content wasn't exhausted yet. Their format of events and how the content drips has not changed since the inception of the game. Hoyoverse has never nor intend to appease the global side, their primary target had always been the Asian market (where the demand for endgame content and new game modes are nearly non-existent when compared to western side's complaints). With their attitude since the beginning, global has always just been afterthought for Hoyoverse

  9. The Chasm is incredible. So much content, so busy, so many things happening ya I heard that too ppl are talking about this like lot of it but I'm AR58 and in a week 59 and, to be honest, I haven't touched chasm, not even hangout event no Miko story no ayato nothing it's like I want to do it … but after daily, I lost interest doing these things!! like all the time and now I stop doing weekly bosses, my resin caped all the time ……. there is a time where ppl think about you need a DPS you need this char or not but what I feel now is to leave it all char are DPS if you miss this char no worries next one hahaha so frustrated about repetition I got sick by just doing daily missions they need more unique content ppl are getting sick to do the same thing, again and again, I HOPE YOU GET IT WHAT I WANT TO SAY

  11. Everything u said is true people did forget genshin is a mobile game they did took a big gamble as they stated how much it cost to maintain genshin , so priority being new chars to sell u , 2 main story main maps , as of now we still get 1 major event and a bunch of random different stuff since let’s be honest genshin has to keep this “high quality” in order to keep interest as much hopium you got on dendro I feel this is what we get Mihoyo as a dev are to proud to admit mistakes Miko changes were just cause people of c2 and jp region complaining they don’t want jp to lose interest on a big market hence money changes tldr is money so take genshin as it is now and ongoing

  12. I like how Genshin currently is.

What I like about it, is that you are not forced to grind every single day. You can play at your own time and own pace.

There are bunch of cool games to play other than Genshin, so if you think Genshin is lacking content. Maybe you're playing too much, and Genshin is the only game you play.

I like how I have the freedom to play other games, and not losing too much on Genshin. Only games, I know like that are mostly MMORPG, where they don't respect your time.

  13. I think it makes sense that they are trying to catch up with their own success. I'm playing Elden RIng and I couldn't imagine how long it takes to make these maps. HOWEVER, Ho-Verse feels like they are neglecting the main game. If this were a smaller game it would make sense but they've made Billions off this game. Bandaid fixes and additions could be easily added to hold over the player base until new maps are ready. More dailies, more abyss floors, MORE RESIN, ways to infinitely grind artifacts etc are all things they have shown are well within their ability but they don't do them. Instead we get half assesd new characters like Yae and Shenhe who are mainly just aesthetics to grab your primos. The newest character Ayato and Yelan seem to be return to quality characters but I'm still worried the game will lose players if they don't give us something to actually use all these characters on and ways to actually level them up to relevancy!

  14. Nice video! Though I am confused why Ayato was mentioned in the preamble but wasn't mentioned again throughout the video. Was his section supposed to be the part about how they botched the AI targetting and had to roll it back in the most recent patch? If that's the case I can understand that, though I will say, having been in several Ayato communities, I have not seen many people complain about his E targetting.

  15. I think the big problem isn't that Hoyo is "giving up" but more so they have become hella complacent. Since they have a firm footing, they aren't as willing to be as accommodating anymore. Bugs and fixes are normal for ongoing games, heck most games often have to rebalance some things to make them work, but I think its because Hoyo doesn't communicate with their community until their backs are against the wall is very sad and telling of how they view their players. People just want some sort of transparency. :c

  16. Not trying to whiteknight…
But China's also having huge waves of COVID infections and lockdowns and I feel like it's probably really hard for the employees to get into offices and do as much work as they can right?

Don't know… hoping Sumeru will be the 'redemption arc' but we shall see… I joined in 1.4 so I missed the whole saga of 1.0~1.5 drought. As in, for me there was a lot of catching up in 1.4 and 1.5 and by the time 1.6 came around, it was perfect timing for myself personally to finally progress to Inazuma. I'm just imagining what it would've been like if I were a Day 1 player. A lot of my Day 1 player friends have quit actually…

But we must also acknowledge that 2.x patches have had better spacing and pacing of content released per patch compared to 1.0~1.5 right?

  17. They need to rework the resin system, like we need more resin and a faster regen time. A new endgame activity, with daily and weekly replayability, no time limit and high enemy density, that rewards mora, books, primos once a day and even more primos once a week, besides that it also rewards fragile resin.

  18. Genshin need a endgame content. Or they just be a waifu and husbando collection game, isn't the game got actually worse? It's just more exploration that gonna dried up

  19. Sorry. I cant sit through this. Sorry most of this is speculative garbage info.
"Genshin made a mistake, so that may mean that they don't care about Genshin anymore."

If you've ever been a game developer, when you spend all your time with a game, you can miss sight of things that to most other people, is completely obvious. You know how the game should work and it can make you have a jaded view of it. That's why beta testers exist. They are there to bring fresh perspective, and reveal flaws.

I think Genshins main problem is honestly the beta testing process, when it comes to bugs and such. Imagine instead of making a super secretive beta that you are forced to sign an NDA, they instead do an open beta. Make a temp server and give everyone a copy of all the new weapons/chars and let them have it.

This game needs endgame content, and to take advantage of their co-op functionality properly.

  20. I hardly cared about the Archon Quest after Raiden Shogun…

My motivation to following the story quest has evaporated. I just run dailies and hoard primos.

Then I switch to Deep Rock Galactic right after.

  21. How can people say Mihoyo is giving up on Genshin when they just released a patch that competes with an entire region patch. The Chasm, despite being smaller than Inazuma, made me feel so much more excited in terms of exploration, and I loved exploration in Inazuma.

  22. Genshin needs better endgame content, because endgame is the biggest reason to use, enjoy and see the true potential of our highly invested characters. Currently the endgame content in non-existent, abyss every 2 weeks. New areas are fun and immersive but when you finish exploring a new area you don't return back because there is nothing left to explore.

They need to adjust the abyss similar to Honkai Impacts' abyss. Honkai's abyss rewards you according to your gears, meta characters, your skills and your understanding of the game, so dedicated minmax players will get more rewards than casual players. Also Genshin needs more endgame modes, something like Memorial arena and Elysian realm in Honkai.

I play both Hoyoverse's games and Honkai's endgame content is better and way more in quantity than Genshin's. For example in Genshin we wait 14 days for abyss and in Honkai abyss resets twice per week, and arena and Elysian realm are weekly endgame content.

Finally in Genshin, there is no need to become stronger anymore with 5star weapons or grinding better artifacts because becoming even stronger you will gain only 50 extra primos in abyss by getting from 33 to 36 stars, However in Honkai's endgame content, becoming stronger and stronger and consistently trying to improve yourself will lead you to the maximum rewards which are more beneficial since the endgame content there resets more frequently.

  23. Mihoyo has had shitty auto targeting problems since Honkai Impact. Don't think that's going to change much.
Credit where credit is due tho, I do like that they're trying out variations and new takes on re-used content. Sure it's hit and miss, but at least there's some freshness. In Honkai, players were left to do the exact same dailies for years, until they finally added a skip button. I honestly do like the current balance – we have longer region exploration quests, and we have these short mini activities for light distraction from the usual mob mass murdering.

  24. they should add like a one to two week buffer between releases in which it gives them more time to work on the game and gives the playerbase more time to farm a few things, get double resin rewards, and bring back some events that the playerbase enjoys

  25. actually, i give props to mihoyo for making the game interactive and interesting. You complain about them being mundane, lazy but u just dont want to do them, and then complain about the game being boring and have nothing to do.

i have 590 achievements, and i can assure you there are fun things you don't even know. its fun seeing things outside of combat, but when they comply and give u smth to fight u complain about theres nothing to do aside whacking things. mihoyo just cant win with people like u.

  26. You have hit my major issue on the head. AI targeting is absurd in the game. It's why I prefer melee characters. That said, there are times when you need ranged attacks and it is so frustrating. Archers are largely useless to mobile players (don't worry, guys. I know there are some god-tier mobile players and I respect you immensely) because aim shots on mobile are just clunky. Don't even get me started on the fact that catalysts don't even aim in the first place… I really just want HYV to take a hard look any their AI and recognize that it's sloppy at best. 🙁

  27. Resin should be removed from this game; no, increase resin cap or get more fragile resin, just remove resin. We should get a pickaxe that can be bound to the Z key for mining instead of switching to claymore user or Zhong Li, there is only so much you can do to make a character unique, eventually there will be overlap in kit and play style; Hoyoverse should look towards other options than characters, a bundle pack and weapons for revenue such as DLC (i would pay for DLC Teapot), reasonably priced skins (look at LoL and how their skins do so well), have a feature like the abyss without the combat such as a maze or puzzle and add more daily commissions, if resin will not be removed than add commissions that give fragile resin while reducing the amount of resin required for ascension bosses and domains. Lastly, for dupes, I believe that if you have a c6 character or r5 weapon, instead of getting one more wish for an above C6 and R5 you will not be able to obtain any more dupes after C6 / R5. Getting one wish for a dupe for c6 character or r5 wpn . Above C6 / R5 is ridiculous when getting a 4 star and 5 star is considerably more than one wish. Think about how most veteran players play this game; do dailys, use resin, do event(s) if event((s) is current, then log out and at the same time, pricing new units at 200 USD not considering 50/50 or first time buy and double that for the weapon banner; essentially a casual game with about 5-10 mins of gameplay per day at more than premium price. Hoyo has to be better if they want to retain players and get new players.
