Is FONTAINE Music as Good as Previous GENSHIN IMPACT Music?

While looking for some more Genshin Impact music to listen to, I found out there is a new update out for Genshin Impact! So today we’re listening to some music from the newly released Fontaine update, the Fontaine Main Theme. I wonder how it compares to the very high standard set by previous Genshin Impact music…

  1. since everyone's recommending boss themes (which is fair, they're very good), I'll recommend something different: character demo themes. basically, they're music for character trailers. so you can see them as character themes. they're generally very good. they do tend to be on the shorter end though (usually around 2 and a half minutes max)
here's a couple suggestions for those:

    rex incognito

    termination of desires

    surasthana fantasia

    the crane cries

    dance of aphros

    winding through avidya

  2. I think it is funny that the main theme of fontaine shows us a lot of what Furina (the Hydro Archon) feels. The grand, the elegant and the dramatic front that she put to hide the sad, the exhaustion, the loneliness, the pain that she suffer to save her people and the insecurities that she has.

  3. Interesting that you mention symmetry. Fontaine in the game is the nation of hydro and justice. It makes me think of scale, fairness, duality, black and white, verdict between innocence and guilty. Also water always levels due to gravity, so water is fair regardless of the container. Damn my mind just blown.

  6. Davi, if you're going to do "Rondeau des fleurs et des rapieres", listen to the short 2 minutes of "Narzissenkruez Ordo book OST" first.
The story of this song begins with "Narzissenkruez Ordo book OST", it involves 4 orphan children that loved each other, but as they grew up, fate pitted them into tragic roles that ended up killing each other, "Rondeau des fleurs et des rapieres" is the song that represents their final struggle and battle to the death… and no, this isn't a spoiler, it's readable text bits found within the game.

  7. Fantastic music, and I loved your breakdown. Even though I have never played the game, and am not familiar with any previous work, I found myself applauding several times, and nodding my head almost frantically. Beautifully done. It just "felt" very RIGHT! Thanks for the enjoyment! 😀

  8. If you want more Fontaine to react too, albeit a short one, there's Furina's theme. But some other solid ones are the battle themes.

As a different region, I would love to see your reaction to Apep's music, also from Genshin Impact.

  9. Bro u just spoiling us the whole story of Fontaine 😂, yea fontaine based on France , and you know what instrument in the very beginning and the very end is ? it's just some of glass cups with different water level inside it and sound it by wet your finger and rub it on the glass surface 😂, there's also live video performance for this music theme

  10. I guess different emotion throughout the music represent how we're going to experience the whole archon story. We're in that childish phase right now, it's been hinted through Easter egg that it'll be followed by sadness. It's getting interesting.

  11. Please listen to the music of Mother 3 and the Mother series in general. The score is unlike anything I’ve ever heard in game besides Toby Fox’s games! (Who was inspired by and is a massive fan of that Mother!)
