Second? anyway hi! My theory is that the whale emerged from a crack in the sky of what seemed to look like it has abyssal themed color palette just like in the world we teleported through rene's enigmatic pages. i doubt it is from celestia since we can still see celestia within the firmament. whatever it is, i believe that whale which i suspected to be reference to Forneus, emerged from beyond this world which means outside the firmament. however i am still excited to hear ur theory on it regardless! can't wait to watch it in 2 hours ^^

I love this theory too in my mind I thought that the whale had something at least to do with maybe the hydro archon and Fontaines prophecy and that why we saw Childe in the Archon Quest because the whale had some sort of ties with the resolution of the prophecy??? but great video explaining your theory!
All this speculation gets me excited. Is it a Abyssal whale or a Celestial whale? On one hand Childe loves fighting so much he could have another weekly boss; on the other he could quite possibly the key in saving Fontaine.

I find the idea of the Whale symbolism you referred to in this video is quite opposite of its the common known for.

this actually makes so much sense. It's as if due to the actions of Remus, Rene, and Egeria, for the punshiment of Fontaine with the prophecy, Celestia fated Childe to fall into the Abyss and meet with the Monocerous Caeli, eventually being called to Fontaine to make the prophecy come to fruition as its vessel, which would explain why he would get the Vision after meeting the whale.

So i think the Whale is still from the Abyss, but he is favored by Celestia nonetheless
It's a different whale… The silhouette is showing 2 more kinda wings… I don't think it is the same. I believe that's just a new abyssal creature… It hasn't anything to do with Childe…

The only plot hole I see here is that childe’s vision stopped working.
Btw there is a whale mentioned in primordial winged jade spear lore story,it is also stated that even zhonglis geo whale couldnt defeat it,it emerged from abyss,and liyue people called it behemoth or something i think these is probably the same whale

Also, if the whale is from celestia, why is it in the abyss? I do agree with the whale being from celestia, by just the name and the fact it swims in Primodial Sea Water.
On tiktok there's a leak…don't think this spoil much but where we would encounter the whale, it looks like the abyss that we saw on Missing Yaksha Quest, it might just be primodial sea water but the space itself looks like the abyss from the quest.
So maybe it can travel both ways? Childe's background is becoming more and more interesting…hopefully mihoyo won't kill him…
