I mean yeah Childe is a solid character and I use him when I feel like it. But he just never really felt essential for me to beat anything. So yeah he's good, basically Xingqiu with aoe but I wouldn't encourage anyone to pull for him unless you like him.
Also I have to strongly disagree with that Hu Tao comment. Yeah C1 is great for quality of life, but it's not necessary to great her maximum dps potential. Staff of Homa maybe, but not C1. People overrate it just cause you can spam charge attacks without losing stamina, but from my experience it's not that big of a difference. Spamming charge without cancelling actually makes you lose dps time, so going for C1 just to do that doesn't change a thing. Also the dps window is still 9 seconds anyway. So yeah Hu Tao is complete without C1, you don't need to get it cause it's not as big of an increase as people try to make it out to be. Staff of Homa is the real game changer.

YES! He is worth for me hehe. I also got 3 perfect artifacts so yeah LET'S GOOO! I hope I get lucky and finally experience the back to back 5* in either character or weapon banner. I haven't pulled yet in weapon ever since I got Raiden weapon.
This is why I like Childe. He's different. And that's what I want right now. Something new to do in Genshin

Does Mona play the same role as Childe? Is she a decent Childe replacement if someone wanted to save their primos or is she a different role and or much weaker as a substitute for Childe.
Childe is alright in terms of overall viability. But he doesn’t really do anything that Other Characters cannot (looking at you Xingqiu).
Man I hate these periods of constant Trash/Uninteresting Banners… Kokomi(trash)» Childe(uninteresting) » Hutao + Thoma (Owned/Interested) » ???
Assuming each Banner is 3 Weeks long, that means I’ll be waiting 6 Weeks just to get access to a Banner with a potential interesting 4-Star Character that really doesn’t stand much of a chance in ending up as one of my Primary 8 Abyss Characters since I already own so many good ones… Though Picking up an additional Hutao might be interesting; Guess we will see if I win the 50/50 while pulling for a few copies of Thoma, and if I lose the 50/50 I will definitely be saving my Guarantee for something better in the future
They need to start putting multiple 5-Star Characters on the same Banner similar to how Weapon Banners work! I mean, as more and more Characters are added, eventually the time between new characters is going to be further and further apart due to having to rerun the ever-growing pool of pre-existing Characters. With as much money as Mihoyo makes off of us all, I think we deserve at the very least a single New Character in each banner; And if 2 or more 5-Star Characters are offered they can allow us to select a Rerun Character or a New one to keep everyone interested.
This is a pretty important change that I think needs to happen considering the majority focus and interest of playing Genshin is to pick up cool new Characters and Weapons, Versus the content that they believe is keeping us playing; In actuality all of the current content is just a daily chore with the tiniest chance of picking up an Artifact Upgrade or collect petty amounts of Primogems for the next New Character or Weapon…
Tbh I'm pulling for his banner, so if I lost I have a guaranteed Hu Tao, if I win then it's cool?

I wanna see whats your take on this man.. i have c6 xiangling c6 bennett c6 beidou c6 fischl but i don't have bow for him aside from viridescent hunt r1 and wont giving him BiS weapon since i dont really like him that much (cant also let him borrow my venti's stringless hahahah) now my question is.. is it more enough reason to atleast try to pull for him? and if so.. what elemental reaction is better? taser team comp or vaporise? i don't like him that much but oh well im a metaslave so im afraid if i might end up having a problem in the future because i skip him for the 3rd time around 🤣

I don't need him as I don't like his mechanics and I already have him anyhow from his first banner. What I fear is they put certain 4 stars on his banner that I really want constellations for. I'm at 0 pity now with no guarantee from 50/50 so if they do add said 4 star luckily I only need 2 more C.

One thing good about Tartaglia is that he is very F2P friendly. Dump the Inazuma bow or windblume ode on him, pair him with Xiangling or Fischl. Done.

tartaglia has very powerful versions of the national team and can still do a lot of burst dmg with a good 4star weapon and 4p HOD. My highest crit with childe on these requirements is 290k so yk, he's slightly broken, and a word of advice for anyone trying to decide on a weapon for him. Imo crit weapons are better than atk weapons, but atk weapons with high refinement can compete too (ex: rust)
Off field cryo applicator…kaeya..his burst can have 100prcent uptime if u want to..
As a Hu Tao main, i find childe's gameplay to be very fun, he and hu tao almost have the same gameplay where in hu tao you spam charge attacks then finish with burst. for childe you spam normal attacks then finish with burst. i love seeing tons of numbers when enemies mob you and his normal attacks in dual sword form is very fas. I'm trying to build my childe now after being neglected ever since he first came out. if you have a pretty well built xiangling, even with a childe with bad substat artifacts, abyss is a breeze. question though, i have a skyward harp, do you think i should pull for the polar star? im at 40 pity in the weapon banner right now

Thankyou, I have not met him in story yet but my research of him is close to what you mention in this video. I know you're not fn of his second rerun but you really spoke about him in the way he deserves. Hu Tao doesn't feel nearly as f2p friendly, and Ganyu after seeing what she does looks more boring to play where childe is unique and looks fun, plus he's the best hydro followed closely by xingqiu, though I don't know enough about Mona yet. And I do find Barbra good for not having to cook but I'm speaking for maining characters.
Initially I'd have pulled for ganyu hu Tao childe and a few others but a few weeks ago before I knew the leaks I KNEW Childe was the best option, I don't like bow characters but know they're very useful in some battles and I enjoy using fischl as an exception, but she would faint a bit. Childe is perfect for the elemental reactions in my team, being a bow and dagger user meaning if fischl dies Childe is there to shoot too but he also can melee meaning I have 2 bow users and 3 melee characters which is perfect

My take on why you SHOULD pull for Childe
1) There are really no upcoming Hydro characters anytime soon ( maybe 3-4 patches laters = 63 days+ )
2) His attack animations are very cool
3) Unlike Hu Tao and Xiao who are selfish dps’s, they are likely to get overpowered soon similar to Diluc back in the days. But if childe gets overpowered/powercrept, he still has support/enabler abilities to rely on.
4) He applies hydro so much more efficiently than XingQiu
5) You can put XingQiu on other teams in spiral abyss
6) If you have Ayaka or Ganyu who’s NA is powerful, he is gonna give you a free crown for them. Plus you can make a freeze comp with them
7) He is F2P friendly simply because you don’t need constellations or some 5 star weapons to make him strong
8) Low invested childe ( 56:76 crit rate/damage ) can deal decent damage too
9) Cmon you know he’s a top tier husbando.
I will pull for Childe and Thoma, Hu Tao on the other hand… if I could not get her then I'll skip and save my gems for the Ganyu rerun. As for why I'm skipping her, is because her playstyle is not my thing. I prefer to see my units in full hp tanks, but with Hu tao; you need to half her hp to hit your enemy hard and it's not an AoE attack. Also with the incoming enemy with bleed effects… she is a risky character to play with, unless you have a healer in the team.
How is he with Kaeya? Because I definitely want him but I also have a lvl 90 Kaeya and I use him a lot
